This Eventide. The tribe that worships the night. Be welcome if you have come to stay in peace, those with malice in their minds for members of the tribe are unwelcome here. The tribe is budding now with a member and guardian. More shall come in time, but for now its a few hours until dark and the young tribe leader is restless. ....

You may be open to post as long as I have accepted your form. Those who wish to take the second day shaman slot be aware I would like to do a private RP first with Ion and a potential shaman.

User ImageIon was curled up on the rocks in the back of the cave wondering how much longer it would take for night to fall. He was growing impatient. He still didn’t know all the nooks and crannies of his new home and he was eager to explore. The tribal guardian was out in the daylight exploring and looking for tribe members but Ion wasn’t too confident in it’s abilities. It seemed reticent to the point that it wouldn’t likely tell others there was a forming tribe here. Tsking he looked at Seth asleep not too far from him. She could stand sunlight yet slept the day away so that she could be awake when he was. As polite as that was, it wasn’t really useful when he was antsy and just wished for twilight to hurry along and come. His ears flicked as the steady drip of water in one of the other areas of the cave really started to grade on his nerves. Getting up his sleeves made a soft hiss on the rock as he padded along as close to the entrance as he could without touching the light. Sighing he sat for a while to wait. Impatience lead to stupidity. Even if a tribe member fell out of the sky right now he wouldn’t really know what to do with it.

An ear cocked to the side to listen to the noise of Seth or even that little fox bunny that had come to live with them. He chuckled to himself. Life was certainly lively with those two for company. He wasn’t really sure why they had taken in the little creature, but it wasn’t like he could just leave it to die in the forest eaten by the guardian or a stranger coming into his home. Closing his eyes he felt a soft breeze wind its way into the caves. The night would be clear and gentle tonight. He grinned licking his fangs looking forward to it and getting some fresh air.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
User Image Seth opened one eyes lazily like she was half asleep. A quick glance to the side showed Ion had up and moved on her. Silly boy. It wasn’t like he could really go anywhere in the daytime. Seth was mostly awake so it must be close to nighttime now. She thought for a moment. Ion must be close to the entrance by now. He was always so eager to get out and explore this new home. She chuckled to herself. It was good he was excited after all he in charge. She would be there to help and guide but this was his home first and foremost. She had flat out told him as much the day before.

She opened the other eye and looked at the bunny fox. So small and cute, just looking at her brought a smile to Seth’s face. Tonight they would have to go hunting or do something fun together. Once the little one awoke there would be little time for discussion so it was important to plan now.

User Image Ears twitching at the sounds of the two older ones, Lakita yawned. Her mouth opened wide and a squeak coming from the yawn, she waited. It seemed like a normal routine for them. Looking at both of them the little dark kit jumped up. "GOOD MORNING!" Legs moving as fast as they could, it was time to launch onto Ion's tail.

"Sooo...What are we doing today? Not chasing those nasty creepy crawlies, I hope." Face scrunched up at just the thought. "Bigger game tonight right?" Not that she could catch them on her own, or ever would, but the idea always appealed to her. Sometimes looking like a kit was a pain, but it allowed for many stories to come out. That seemed to change though, once she caught up to Seth and Ion. No need to be the moody little kit anymore. Smiling up at Seth, she waited to hear what would be going on.

Since the sun didn't bother her, Andi was already out and about doing her duties as a Hunter. She brought in a large buck, two pheasants, and a couple of berries. She wasn't sure what the little bunny kit ate, so she wanted to bring a variety of things. With a huff she dropped the kill and put the berries elsewhere. She stretched out her muscles and went to go check on Ion and the others. More to let them know that there was something to eat.

The attack on his tail made Ion tense for a moment before he looked down at the little bunny and smiled. “Good evening little bunny.” At least she hadn’t called him daddy or anything like that this time. Seth was grinning at him during the bunny’s questions. Ion looked at Seth meaningfully. “Bunny we have hunters who can help bring in food, there is no need for you to be hunting things bigger than bugs for now.” He figured Seth would take the hint and keep the little bunny out of trouble. She was small and adorable but had so much energy he worried that she would sneak out in the day and end up getting eaten or something. He was tempted to say she could learn to hunt larger game but what would she go after? The only thing small enough for her to hunt and plentiful enough to be seen was other rabbits and he wasn’t certain if that counted as cannibalism or not. He didn’t want to take the risk.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seth winked at Lakita to tell her to just agree for now. “Yep only yucky creepy crawlies for now until your form is perfect.” She grinned. “Then we can hunt bigger game and you can put the rest of the hunters out of business.” Seth liked to take Lakita out with her during the night so that the little perma was out of the way of the hunters but still able to have fun and be as active as she wanted. Tonight she and Seth might have to go chipmunk hunting and see what they could scare up. Not only that but they had to hunt down that guardian and make sure it was still doing it’s patrols. Lakita might like the idea of stalking something as large as a guardian. Hearing a noise she cocked her head and saw Andi coming in bathed in twilight. "Hello Andi." She watched the rope at the vixen's neck sway back and forth with each step wondering if Lakita would try and pounce it.

Andi dipped her head in greeting to each of them. "I brought in a fresh kill. Also found some berries and birds." She look from Lakita to Seth. Still curious to what the little one would eat.

"BUT MOM!!" Still gnawing on Ion's tail the perma was not wanting to be stuck with just the little bugs. "I need to hunt some bigger things." Bunny ears on radar, Lakati knew that Andi was back from a hunt. She waited for the huntress to come in further ready to go after her, the rope around her neck was just calling to be played with. Big eyes turned to look at Seth, the dark perma decided this time was not the right one.

"Andi, was there a lot of big game out there?"

User Image The sky was turning to darkness, signalling the time to return to the cave. With a deep sigh as the colors looked inviting to keep flying, Sky Chaser turned above the forest, gliding back. Pale eyes scanning the area above and below him, he searched for any signs of plants or even new foxes that are in the area.

Spotting a patch of colors amidst the green, he tried to keep the area in mind to tell Seth about it. She would probably know what they are and if it could be used for anything. On wings silent and pads soft, the 'phim landed in front of the cave so not to call attention to himself with the little bunny fox.

User Image The male had stood, watching the area around him. He was here to grab some items for Seth. Was there a sick fox? He didn't really know, but Illay did know that it only bloomed at night. Right after a full moon. Humming under his breath as the flowers and plants started doing their thing. It seemed to help for him and them.

A shadow passed above and looking up it was apparent who was going by. It seemed to hover above him, which made the fox laugh. The 'phims eyes must not be that good to not realize it was Illay standing there. Shrugging, he went back to grabbing the plant parts. If he was lucky the shaman would be out in the area shortly. Probably with that perma, which would make the night much fun. He would teach her to dig the roots of plants that they needed or even ones that should be saved for future uses.

Like Andi, Damona was already awake. Though she could stand the sun like most of the other fixes she preferred to be out and about mostly at night. Unless the sun had already set behind the mountains and trees, much like now. The moment she was outside she had taken to the air. She was hungry and if her hunger was any indication, the others would be as well. When she had woken up Andi was already gone. Which meant that she was already out there hunting and gathering food. Rather then track her down, Damona went off on her own. She knew that Andi was a good hunter and would be able to handle herself. No need to rush in and make her feel like she wasn't good at her job.

After flying around for a wile she spotted a rather large moose. A rare sight considering there weren't many around. If she could take the moose down, it could easily feed the lot of them. Being a Deava gave her an advantage. After a well planned attack Damona was soon on her way back to the others. Of course she could no longer fly with all the extra weight so she had to walk. And that took a wile but she eventually made it back to the entrance to the cave. She emerged from the brush, her powerful legs holding her strong and steady as she dragged the moose, half hanging on her back and the other half dragging the ground.

"I apologize for my lateness... but I seemed to have miss judged how heave a moose can be..." with that she turned to Andi. "I see you have already returned. And with many kills. Well done."

Ion watched quietly as the tribe came together. He was surprised to see everyone was up and seemed if good spirits. He had expected some grumbling and perhaps unease at the newness of the tribe, yet all things seemed to be coming together quite smoothly. Of course it helped that Seth seemed to be reliable enough that the whole tribe could defer to her. Not only that but she could stand the sunlight so if needed she could go help them when he could not. Deciding to pay his respects to everyone he attempted to dislodge the perma chewing on his tail without hurting her. It took some finagling but it was managed after a bit. “Go see the game she brought back yourself to determine if big game was out and about.” He moved out of the cave in the waning light to see Damona and Sky Chaser. “I would hate to have had to haul it back as far as you have Damona so it is doubtful any would find fault with a bit of lateness.” He nodded his head to the huntress and looked to Andi. “Thank you as well for your skill in bringing food for the tribe.” He was surprised how much both of them had brought back. He might have to worry about waste rather than starving. It was a strange change. “ He moved aside toward Sky Chaser. “Any things strange to report?” He figured Seth would find all this out latter but it was nice to hear some things first hand for a change.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Deciding to keep Ion out of her plans she only announced the first part of her thoughts loudly. “No but ‘mom’ing me. Crawlies for now bigger game for later.” Quieting down she winked again. “ I promise a nice little surprise if you’re good.” She grinned at Lakita enjoying the joke. She was as much the bunny’s mother as Ion was really the father, but that didn’t stop Lakita from dubbing them as such. Seth was proud when Lakita decided that attacking Andi’s rope would be a bad idea even if it was clear she wanted to by the way those little eyes watched the end of the rope like a hawk. She watched amused as the rest of the tribe came from the woods to the mouth of the cave. Both hunters brought back a good heft and Ion even seemed in good spirits since he was trying to get a report from Sky Chaser. She smiled to each of the tribe members. “Good evening everyone.” Now all she would have to do is snag Illay aside in a bit and get his take on the twilight before raiding Sky Chaser’s view once Ion was done listening. Keeping an ear open for snatches of their conversation she moved out of the cave as well. Blinking she was surprised Ion was out. There was just enough sunlight that he would be stinging and sore but not truly injured. Did he really go that stir crazy in the cave? She just hoped he wouldn’t end up being a grumpy pain in the behind to deal with.

There have been a few vigils now with no thread activity so that means…. Time skip! The air is cool, the tribe doing well with a few new members. Sayre has chosen to join the tribe which makes Ion glad for the ex- theif has been on his mind and his heart for a while now. There is also another vampire coming to live with the tribe. Astharoshe. Ver is off to escort her to the tribe.

Ion’s flicked back for a moment while he thought. Soon Astharoshe would be coming to live with them. He wasn’t certain how he felt about this. It would be nice to have one who understood him so well close by but there was also the matter of having yet another woman who was so much his senior and who knew so many embarrassing stories of his life. Seth of course teased him for the most part but she kept the details mostly to herself. Ion also was a bit scared of Astharoshe. There was something about her presence that was intimidating. Still he hoped things would be well with her and his fledgling tribe. He was more nervous about a certain red vixen that was now living with them officially as well. Sayre had finally finished with that commotion of her son having kits and was ready to settle down in the tribe and not be a wandering traveler to this area. Thoughts of Sayre made him close his eyes for a moment with a hint of a smile on his face.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seth sauntered into the face to see Ion eyes closed with a silly grin all over his face. Sneaking close she whispered to him. “Thinking of Red?” The reaction Ion had to being surprised was hilarious! He yelped so loud that she was sure anyone nearby would have heard it. Laughing she darted back from the paw that was ready to swat her. “Now now Ion, behave. After all at your age you should know better~” Slipping out of the caves quickly she was glad that it was only an hour after dark and the moon was high and bright. It was a good night to be part of the tribe.

Sayre, the Daeva also known as Red, stretched groggily as a yelp was heard. It had been weeks since she gotten decent rest. Kits, would do that to a woman of her 'age'. She looked around to see Seth slinking out and already assumed it was Ion that made the yelp because of Seths pestering. She chuckled and slid up to the Elder to Be and gave him a gentle nudge. "Seems like the night is off to a good start..." She had a smirk on her face as she teased him.

---------------------------------

Andi was already out hunting. Since Sayre had joined the tribe she had a little more free range with the different herds of deer. Her only concern was the Phim that lived outside the boarder. Andi knew the Phim hunted elsewhere and was rather considerate of the tribe.though why someone would want to stick around here with out being part of the tribe was beyond her.

The time of winter dreams had come. Ion shivered, he really didn’t really like the snow. He didn’t mind the cold but really the snow was irritating. It got things wet and the stuff got everywhere. It was so easy to track in on the paws and it got stuck in his clothes and fur. He knew he must seem like a petulant child as Seth continued to remind him. He had to admit the tribe was a quiet place and he didn’t really mind it. To him this size was a nice quite thing but he knew others would likely want the tribe to grow. It was time to sit down with the tribe and start to talk to them and find out what they wanted from this tribe. To grow or to continue as they were and let things happen at whatever natural pace it did. He had asked those of the tribe to come and gather as they could. More than that though he wanted to start to celebrate the start of winter dreams with his family. “Winter dreams is a time for hope in the midst of this cold and chill. I would like to hear stories of the past for all of you on things this time that make you happy and what dreams you have for the future.” He circled the edge of the grove trying to think of a story he could share himself. He had a few he could talk about since he had come to form the tribe. They were perhaps some of the happiest moments he had.

Melicath snorted. This whole idea sounded more than a little stupid to him. Really he figured the foxes were here because they had tragic lives or couldn’t find another place to live. He knew he would eventually be dragged into this conversation based on the way that vixen with the green coat was eyeing him but he certainly was not going to be the first to start.

Astharoshe decided if no one else would get started on this then she would. “Quite some time ago when I lived far from here I was young and impressionable. I wanted nothing more than to be praised and succeed. There was a cold night while it did not have this… weather. It was still colder then I was used to. I was attempting to show off my wings and prowess in flight I took to the sky and strained against my utmost limits. Lossing my breath I passed out as you can see I did not parish. I woke to find myself wrapped warmly and closely by what would become my tovarish.” A soft smile graced her lips looking back. The older deava had become so close to her. It was true she had lost him some years ago but those memories while a touch bittersweet always made her warm inside.

Lakita grumbled at the snow. She was too easy to spot in it, which made hunting for the big guys hard. Along with hiding from the full size foxes. The perma sat just in the dark of the cave entrance, waiting for a time to pounce any of the bigger ones. She had no stories to tell, not that the others hadn't heard before at least.

Illay sat to the side, some winter plants he found to use, as long as they were stored properly. He listened to the story of the 'Deava, catching the memories she seemed to have had. Even he wasn't sure what story to tell, as he didn't remember much from his time as a kit and it seemed shortly after becoming an adult, the fox was part of the tribe.

Sky Chaser shifted so he kept himself warmer. "Well, I remember when a certain someone would always take it upon herself to get something from any new comer. I am grateful she still enjoys her flights in the air. Maybe I can dump her in deeper snow and see how fast a hunter can find the little one?" The 'phim grinned at the perma before she could pounce his wings.

SiLiKee kept to the outer areas. She loved the tribe and all it was for, she just didn't want to share anything at the moment. Shaking her head at the story and dropping a cute little perma in the snow for tracking purposes, well that was just funny.

Ver was lounging off to the side not particularly doing much of anything recently with the tribe having a deavas and phim it seemed quite sufficient without need of a guardian but it was here non the less. “While dropping the kit to the ssssnow it would be good to rememberrr wherr sssshe was dropped.” It spread its wings to stretch a bit which made it stand out in this season with all the whiteness around. “It issss my hope for the futurre that all ssstay healthy herre a** all have in the passst this makesss me happy.” It was true. By having everyone safe in the tribe in the past Ver had done its job and this lead to a feeling of warm contentedness in it’s body.

Taking a look at all the others gathered here she wasn’t sure what to expect. Alaraph thought the purple male with blue markings was quite handsome, but many of the other foxes seemed to be quite strange. They were quite close giving the joke about the kit and of course the kit’s reaction. Realizing she was smiling at the exchange she recomposed herself. She had only come recently to the tribe and as such was not familiar with any expectations that might exist. Her brother was beside her patiently waiting as well. When the large guardian spoke and finished she decided to go. “My memories with my brother make me happy and my dreams for the future are to remain with him and hopefully this will become our home.” It was blunt and to the point but that was how she and her brother were in a sense. She could recognize it but saw no reason for change at this time.

(rumors of strangers in the land)

User Image
His tail flicked in annoyance. He was glad the tribe was bigger but that was a problem in its own way. The more foxes in an area the more others were curious and came to see. He had heard from Seth that there were numerous rumors of strangers in Eventide land. It was a nuisance that this was happening during the day. He was stuck in the cave and could not do much. Glancing over the tribe members he began issuing his orders. “We have a number of reports of strangers to Eventide land. There have been burn marks found where our deavas have not been patrolling and strange smells in many spots along with half washed out tracks. There needs to be a patrol and check done of the whole of the land. I need volunteers.” He didn’t like the idea of sending out the tribe into danger but what else could he do?

“Armily is taking a number of foxes to the grove to investigate. Melicath is leading a group out to the plains, Persimmon Xanthas is taking a group to the forests, those checking the caves and general area will be with Seth.” Where was Ver right now? What good was a guardian if it was gone when the tribe needed it? “Ver is .. absent in this time. We shall find where it is later getting the area secure is top priority. I doubt there are many things that would actually dare to attack a guardian.” Ion was worried more then he cared to admit. Still he had to get things going first and foremost. “If you have any questions please I would hear then now. if not prepare thy selves if volunteering. Be safe and not reckless.” He quickly turned to the perma Lakita. He knew she would get into trouble if he left her alone. “Lakita I have a task for you.” He could take care of two things with one task.
