Kadentsu looked at her a bit sternly. She didn't understand why exactly her friend seemed to not want to talk about it... But she wasn't going to press the issue.
"Yes. The mice in my family all seem to enjoy going about and having adventures. Which is fine by all of us, of course. She is a darling little girl. Not terribly old yet though, so she's not used to a lot of things. We mostly follow her nose on adventures."
She looked over at the water. "It's a nice day out today, huh?" Smiling warmly at her friend, she lightly tapped her nose on her friends neck. "We could go on an adventure together!"

"Well Cydi," Amaranth looked down to her companion. "What do you say to that?" She followed the mouse's longing look to the scattered flowers at the edge of the beach. "Yes darling, you will have to leave them for a while, but I am certain we will find more flowers for your amusement in time." She laughed as the mouse climbed to rest on her head, between your ears. "I believe that's an affirmative. "Would you lead, princess?"((Edited because I don't know my colors xd ))

Kadentsu smiled at the little mouse. It was certainly interesting how much she seemed to love her flowers. She wondered if Sonnet would end up loving something just as much. It would certainly be interesting to find out what the mouse loved!
Kadentsu smiled as her friends agreed. "Of course I'll lead! I'm sure that Sonnet will find a good path for us to go ahead on." She looked at the little mouse as Sonnet quickly climbed down and sniffed the surrounding area. Kadentsu walked over to Sonnet and nodded. "She thinks that we should go this way, will that work for you?"

Amaranth followed the princess's gaze and nodded in agreement, "It looks lovely to me." She glanced up to Cydi and saw that the mouse was already looking longingly ahead. She had always admired that about the little mouse, how she never seemed to look back with sadness or mourn what was or what could have been. Instead, Cydi seemed to always look forward to the future, that was part of her nature though. Cydi lived to make matches, to unite souls in eternal bliss or some such thing. Although Amaranth currently held a cynical view of Cydi's occupation, she could do no less than admire the mouse's tenacity.
The fluttered picked her way carefully over the shells that littered the beach. She had noticed on her past visits to this area that the smooth shells made her walk especially tricky. It was times like these that she prefered to take her smaller form, although she traveled much slower, it was an enriching experience to see so much of the world from a new perspective. It was much easier to see the intricate details of the shells when she was only a little larger than them.
But for today, she was traveling at her full size and was going to have to watch for her hooves slipping on sea shells. Especially for the sake of Cydi riding on her head. A little tumble could hurt the mouse quite a bit.

Kadentsu traversed the beach with ease. There wasn't much that slowed her down in this world. Certainly nothing in nature. She looked back at her friend, slowing down as she watched her carefully pick her way over the beach.
Sonnet sat on her rump, watching the other mouse balance on the smaller mare's head. She had to watch the other carefully. Wanted to learn about this other.
"Would you like to try and find another way around?" She thought on it for a moment. "Or you are welcome to sit on me with the mice. Since you are a flutter. I wouldn't mind if you would like. At least until we could get away from the beach?" She smiled at her friend as she came back over to her.

Amaranth went to shake her head but thought better of it with Cydi sitting on her head. "I'll be alright," she replied with a sweet smile. "You don't have to worry about me. Cydi will be alright too. I look after her and she looks after me, you know how that goes. It's just a little rough walking along this path, but sometimes it's good to travel the rough paths, you know?"

Kadentsu smiled widely.
"That is certainly a good philosophy to have! I'll stay back with you then. I don't want you to get lonely or think I'm trying to leave you in the dust after all!"
She came up beside her and started going slowly next to her. It was strange to think about how many different terrains she has traversed. How well her feet have become used to picking their way through all the debris that may be littered on the ground. Maybe her friend would get used to more things as they went along today! that would be a wonderful thing for her!
"I'm happy that you have decided to stay this size and pick your way through. Your hooves will learn the second sense of picking their way through obstacles with more of this!" She beamed at her, "And as long either of us end up hurting ourselves, we'll be able to get across this beach in no time at all!"

Amaranth beamed, "You know I love a good adventure almost as much as you do. And I agree, sometimes one must over come some small difficulties in order to find the joy in life. Of course other times the difficulties can be somewhat more imposing....but these little rocks shouldn't prove to be any great threat. At least I don't think they will..."

Kadentsu smiled wide at her friend. Such a wonderfully inspired speech for how short it was!
"You are very well spoken! And that is certainly a good thing to remember. Gotta over come what there is in life! I'm sure that these rocks will give you little trouble if you are as focused as that" She giggled and continued onward. "Just remember that if you need help, I'm right here! Never be afraid to ask when you need it!"
