Horakhty eyed Micha'el, and he wondered if the daywalker could see past his lie. Micha'el gripped his arm tighter, as if the sensation would distract him from the other weight he was feeling. Then a red blur appeared from his side, circling ahead of them to force them to stop the relentless march to the City of Crows. Tsuna stood them, arms up, commanding their attention. Lottie was running up behind them, shouting something after her friend but stopped not far behind when the entire caravan came to a halt. She first began to proclaim her 'coolness' to Horakhty, who scowled, turning his head towards her slightly, like an angry owl attempting to understand something incredulous before it. Micha'el felt his chest tighten and looked between them. He felt confused at first, why was she trying to show off to him in such a manner? Then his anxiety flushed over him as he saw the look on Horakhty's face. Micha'el took a breath, remembering that Tsuna simply enjoyed a bit of fun, perhaps they were friends after their discussion last night? Horakhty blinked slowly after her rhetorical question, to which he gave her the benefit of an answer. His response cut-off Lottie, who was quietly murmering in the background that she thought it was indeed cool.

"No." Horakhty looked Tsuna up and down, taking in her torn clothes. His words shot between them like a dagger in the wind. It was sharp, precise, and hit its mark. "Fighting for your life is not, 'cool'" he said, coming to jump off Kafele. "Nonetheless - I shall entertain your thirst for attention and give you the feedback you so desperately desire. "Cool" is a word for those who crave attention but lack self awareness. Did you seek to impress me, or competitively best me in combat in what could have been the death of this entire caravan?" Horakhty did not acknowledge the others, and instead walked slowly around Tsuna as he continued. "You seek praise, but you ignore the weight of your actions you place on your team. Does this boy celebrate you, or does he bear the cost of your recklessness?" Micha'el held his arm tightly, figdeting awkwardly as he eyes dashed away from looking at Tsuna, clenching his jaw. "Strength without wisdom is chaos, and pride untampered by humility is folly. If you sought to "show me up" then I must commend you, you have beaten a messenger at 'who can obliterate a monster until the earth is decimated along with it."" Horakhty stopped now in front of her, looking her dead in the eyes as he repeated "I do not think you are cool. I think you are a danger to us in the face of danger itself."
"Hey!" Lottie stepped up beside them, obviously rattled by Horakhty's brashness, but before she could speak further her raised his hand, "do not polish a blunt blade. It will not benefit anyone." He then hopped back into his saddle as he finally added "congratulations on your transformation."

Tsuna Miki

Tsuna realized how narcistic she had sounded especially how she had stopped the whole caravan's march. Micha'el looked so embarrassed of her and Lottie was mumbling something in the background hopelessly. She thought her actions last night would prove her worth and perhaps make Horakhty warm up to her, but she made things worse for everyone. Horakhty gave her a flat and cold no as his next words cut into her deep. As if her appearance wasn't already torn to shreds, now her feelings were going to be shattered as well. He ensured her that a fight to the death was anything but "cool" as he jumped down from his steed to circle her like a hawk. His demeaning paraphrase of word backfire on her and she knew immediately that he was correct. Her goal to impress him almost ended in the whole caravan being in danger and for what? When he placed Micha'el into the equation she knew a lot of time her actions resulted in constant consequences for her whole team not just her. From the way Micha'el tensed and looked else where Tsuna and him knew he spoke the truth. The way he described her assault was humiliating and did nothing, but just prove how out of control she was. As he stopped in front of her and stared into her eyes her ears flattened and she looked absolutely defeated. She was as he said, not cool and a danger to everyone around her. At that moment Lottie tried to stand up for her, but Horakhty shut her down quickly. With that, he hopped back on his steed and congratulated her on her shameful transformation.

With red cheeks and a crumbling stance, Tsuna took off to the back of the caravan trying to block of the mumbles of anyone else who now thought less of her. She knew Lottie would follow and once they were in the back some distance, she lightly asked Lottie to let her be alone for a while. She told her to join Micha'el so she could have time to think and not continued to be embarrassed by her. Once alone, Tsuna walked with her face to the ground for the rest of the day until nightfall not uttering a single word. She let Micha'el and Lottie sleep and decided to take the full night shift as punishment to herself. She didn't know what had been wrong with her lately. Ever since she returned from her mission in Skyfall and reunited with her team her emotions had been so out of sorts. Just like her Therian form...she had no control.

Horakhty wasn't far from her and like every night before he had settled himself in one position looking out beyond. She knew pouting and ignoring him made her look and feel more like a child. She had to make things right and get herself back in control again. Whether or not her unstable emotions came with the new transformation, she had to take responsibility for her actions. Breathing hard, she turned to the Daywalker and walked a bit over to him still maintaining her distance. She prepared herself for more insults, but tried her best to apologize to him sincerely. "Horakhty, I'm sorry for last night and today. Everything you said to me is right and I shouldn't have acted the way I did. I'm not cool or worthy...a blunt blade...like you said. I want to be useful and continue to protect the caravan for a long as my team and I are here. I won't hinder you or my team any further." She had more to say, but lost her train of thought. Maybe it was just best to leave it there before she annoyed him more. Despite the massive rift between them, she still thought he was one of the coolest and most inspiring people she had ever met. She decided to go back to her patrolling hoping he'd accept a little sliver of her apology. Her chest was still so tight and her cheeks blazed with humiliation always frustrated with herself. Always hating herself.

Horakhty's scolding left a mark on everyone. Micha'el, too embarrassed to speak after his hidden thoughts were revealed. Lottie, too stunned to speak, and Tsuna, complete stripped of any dignity was exposed to everyone. She quickly removed herself from the situation. Lottie feared that she might go on the run again and was already picturing how she was going to have to convince Micha'el to find her again. But, as Tsuna stopped at the back of the caravan, Lottie couldn't help but feel some small semblance of relief. She took one look at Micha'el, who didn't look anywhere but at the floor. A pang of sadness thumped in her chest, something was bothering Micha'el, more than what was on the surface, and she hated that he hadn't shared it with her. Nonetheless, she was not going to force his hand. Instead she chased after Tsuna, slowly getting closer before attempting to softly speak. But once she approached Tsuna asked her politely to give her some space. "Okay" she said, attempting to pick up her pace to eventually end up half way in the caravan. There she would remain with Micha'el ahead of her and Tsuna behind, keeping watch for any possible monster attacks.

Night came slowly. Lottie began counting her steps to try and pass the time, but when that didn't work she attempted to walk beside her favourite bison. She called him Brownie because he was much browner than the other bison with the caravan. But she could only linger at his side for so long. With one last scratch under his chin - his favourite place to be scratched - she attempted to march forwards to get a little closer to Micha'el. She noticed, as dusk finally began to fall, that Micha'el would occasionally stare off into the sky. It was a gaze filled with longing, and she also noted that Micha'el was looking towards the brightest stars as they first began to appear. She then checked in with some of the merchants, who were friendly as ever. She wondered if they were even more kind with his this evening after what transpired in the morning. No one mentioned it, no one eluded to the heavy, lingering atmosphere around her team, instead they would tell her about the City of Crows, or their home city of Ardinas in Otherearth. Apparently there were large groups of bison roaming free on the islands. Lottie enjoyed the conversation and would smile and laugh, offering whatever insight she could into protecting people and her life back at the Academy. But behind it all she felt sad and helpless. Micha'el, her closest friend in the world, was suffering and she did not know why. Tsuna, also her closest friend, was struggling too. And all the while Lottie was unable to help either of them. What was she beyond a smiling face and a fighter with a sharp blade? What was she without Willow Morta? She traced the grip of her weapon with her fingertips as she found herself staring blankly ahead in deep thought. I can be strong she thought, I can be the pillar of support they need. I will remain joyful, supportive, and steady. She then found herself daydreaming back to her childhood, of living in the English countryside with her parents and sister. Then she remembered her parents going missing. Everything from then until some time after she was moved by the Occult, and was living with her uncles in Osaka, was a blur. She remembered being given her family heirloom, Willow Morta afterwards, and deciding to be a guardian of Occulas just like her parents once were. "I must be the light for them in their darkest hour.

Once darkness had fallen, and Horakhty had decided it was time to stop and set up camp, Tsuna told her team to rest up for the note. It was a decision they did not get a choice in. Reluctantly Micha'el and Lottie went to their cart, whilst Tsuna approached Horakhty and attempted to begin conversation. This time he was sat on a large boulder, observing the night with Kafele at his side. Her statement seemed to fall on deaf ears to begin with, he didn't acknowledge her at all. He let her words hang in the air for some time, waiting to see if she would speak anymore but to his surprise she remained silent. "You have a duty" Horakhty began, still looking out into the distance, "I suggest you start listening to your own promises - only then will an apology hold any weight or merit."

"Micha'el" Lottie began, huddling up in her bedroll in the corner. Her teammate was staring out the opening in the cloth above them, staring at the stars. "The stars are pretty out here, right?" she asked, "they're much brighter than back home." Micha'el didn't respond at first, but eventually he nodded and agreed. "Are you mad at Tsuna still?"
"No" Micha'el quickly replied, offering her a small smile as he removed his glasses. "Are you mad at yourself?" she pressed softly. Micha'el blinked a few times before looking at her, "what? Why - no. Maybe?" She watched as he pinched the bridge of his nose, then began to massage his eyes. "I'm just tired, I should be more prepared, I should be happier for Tsuna for finally transforming - she never thought she would be able to."
"But?" Lottie asked, holding her knees closer to her chest. "But" he began, "I-... I was afraid." Silence hung in the air, thick, like a heavy fog that neither of them could see through. "I wasn't afraid of her. But... I was afraid she would get herself hurt. She doesn't know her limits. And this morning... I was too afraid to tell her the truth, and then that daywalker just says it all as if its painted on my face. If I was just stronger then-" neither of you would need to fight he thought. But Lottie replied with "you are strong, perhaps more than any of us. Together, we can take on anything, remember? You don't need to worry. I'll always be there to support you! If you ever need to talk, if anything is bothering you"
"What?" he then interjected, noticing the conversation take a turn. "Nothing is bothering me, Lottie. I'm tired. Once we get to the city we can rest and... i'll speak with Tsuna tomorrow. Everything will be fine. I promise." She decided to press no further, and instead offered him a smile.

After some time passed in the night... Tsuna noticed movement in the nearby brush, too far away for Horakhty to have taken any notice. It looked like it may finally be resting his eyes too - thought it was hard to tell if he was ever truly asleep.

Tsuna Miki

As always, Horakhty had sound advice and she took it with a simple headshake and a singular word, "Noted." The fact that he answered her at all was a miracle and she wished she hadn't dishonored herself so lowly. Maybe she'd be able to sit on that rock with him, but she wouldn't be so presumptuous as to assume that they could ever be friends. She could barely forum a sentence in front of her own kind and had now proven to them just how immature she was. She didn't think they'd accept her regardless, after all, she had no worth unlike her team. They said how much they'd miss her if she died, but they'd probably be better off. The way Micha'el's composure spoke louder than words told her everything she needed to know. She had to reinvent herself in order to gain back notoriety again. Inhaling deeply, she unfold her hammer and began to monitor the perimeter as she had done many nights before. The stars were particularly bright tonight providing a descent view of their surroundings. As time pasted the moon rose higher, Tsuna ended up a good distance away from Hokakhty as she scouted the brush. The brush nearly moved slightly immediately catching her attention. She glanced back to see if the Daywalker noticed, but it was hard to tell if he was still looking out into the void or asleep. She felt like she could handle whatever was there assuming it was some animal by the way the bushes moved. It was nearly impossible to relay on her nose here considering everything smell like dirt and buffalo. Studying her hammer, she approached with caution ready to lower her weapon if the noise wasn't a threat.

I am very, very crazy, very... I can't ever stop myself!
Everything in the world wouldn't fill this void

Vendeth

Call it a crime, but it’s so wonderful
Shame me if you want, I don’t mind at all
Appetite’s instinctual
Tell me that it’s ugly, it feels so good!

Vendeth had been following the trail for several nights after getting the tip from Southmarch. The Therian had been reluctant at first, but was easily manipulated under duress. It took every fibre of her being to hold back from tasting the beggarly mutt when she realised she would be days behind the tracks of her quarry. She finally caught up with her targets some half way through the Cold Moor, watching them from afar like a predator eagle watching its prey from a mile away. She spotted several carts, pulled by great beasts she had seen several of in Southmarch. Her elven eyes could see one among them leading, with several others also spreading around from time to time. A grin formed on her lips, curling at the edges as her red eyes narrowed with joy. Hours passed as she traversed the cold, dank moor behind them. She made sure to keep a great distance between them - assuming the therians wouldn't be able to see her from so far away, and she also made sure to stay away from any wind that might carry her scent towards them. Oh, it was like child's play, was it not? Her ancient eyes could see all from a mile away, her steps so light not even the most cunning wild animal would ever notice her coming. Even this morning she watched as the entire caravan came to a stop, with some kind of talking happening near the front before the smaller trio scattered. She assumed to defend the caravan from deadly attacks - she could have laughed so loud that they might hear her. Deadly like me she thought, licking her lips. She watched them for the rest of the day, hoping something exciting might happen, but instead found nothing to note. As the evening dragged on and night finally approached she could feel herself growing impatient with the stalking.

Vendeth wiped the bark and dirt from her sword with the fabric of her cape. Behind her were the corpses of two treant monstrosities that pounced on her not long after the waning moon pulled up into the sky. She was relieved to finally be done with the rustling in the bushes she was trying to ignore for several hours. It appeared those creatures had far more patience than she did. After sheathing her weapon, Vendeth peered out into the darkness, noting how the caravan hadn't moved for some time. She assumed they had now set up for the evening. A grin formed on her lips again, a flash of white appearing between her fine lips. Her tongue, plump and pink as her hair, glazed over her lips for moment as she savoured the thought of finally killing Team Sun. She wore black leather trousers and tunic, with white boots and cape decorated with gold. The underside of her cape was a blood-red, and a gold chest-piece guarded her torso. Her sword was of similar design, and her crown she had long, long abandoned. In fact she couldn't remember where she left it - not to matter. It was perhaps a thousand years old and the royal family was long gone, no one needed it anymore. Did she lose it during the Jewel War? No... was it during the pandemonium of the colossus war in the desert? She couldn't tell, it was sometimes difficult to remember specifics when you've lived such a long life such as hers.

Now she was waiting in the trees not far from their camp. Closing the distance between them wasn't difficult, and waiting in the greenery was quite boring. Nonetheless, it would be all the more worth it when she made her first kill. She wanted to lure the first one out, with orange hair and red, torn clothes. She rustled a branch beside her, then crunched on a branch to imitate a misstep. It worked just as she planned, and the girl approached, raising her hammer slightly in preparation. Vendeth smiled and let out a quiet, menacing sound of joy. Vendeth dashed, appearing from behind a tree in a blur of grey, white and red as her armour flashed in the twilight for the briefest of moments. She kicked Tsuna in the stomach, throwing her back against a tree to wind her so that she could grapple her and hold her mouth shut with her gloved hand. Red eyes, half-shut stared into hers lazily. Then, a grin formed, adding a new understanding to those analytical eyes. "Shh" she cooed, "don't squirm!" Vendeth tilted her head, pink braid falling over her shoulder. "I cannot fulfil my bounty if you keep doing that. Now, I will permit you to speak as long you as promise not to call Micha'el and that other girl over to their slow and agonising deaths, okay?" Vendeth waited for Tsuna to give an indication of agreement before smiling again, this time showing her pearly white teeth. "Do you have... the currency of Malika Roze? If so - tell me where?"

Tsuna Miki

The snap of a twig made it sound like an animal scurrying away from its predator causing her to lower her weapon. She knew she was being paranoid, but should have been more aware as she played right into the real culprit's hands. Suddenly a humanoid burst of joy escaped someone's lips from somewhere in the brush only to ambush her moments later. A blur of grey, white, and red dashed out from the trees and flickers of armor danced in the moonlight as the assailant moved. Tsuna was practically winded when she was kicked in the stomach dropping her weapon from the impact. She was sent back into a tree and capture by the assailant in a matter of minutes. Tsuna squirmed and muffled into the woman's gloved hand covering her mouth as glared into her half-shut lazy eyes. From her calm composure and death grip Tsuna had assumed that she had been at this work for a while. Grinning devilishly, she cooed for Tsuna to stop fighting as she tilted her head playfully, her braid slipping to one side. This women taunted Tsuna and intended to kill all three of them starting with her first, of course. She could only guess as to why an assassin would be after them, but in the back of her mind she knew why. She wouldn't dare call her teammates over to this psychopath, nor put the camp in danger. She made a promise to Horakhty and intended to keep it.

Her relaxed enough despite her heart beating fast and gave the woman a slight nod as she eye her vindictive smile uncomfortably. Once she removed her hand, she asked where Malika's funds were which just made Tsuna roll her eyes. "Really, that's what this is about? That woman needs a damn hobby. Sad to say, but can she take an IOU? And tell her the meal was delicious." Tsuna was being a smartass when she really shouldn't be. By all accounts this woman far outranked her in combat and skills considering she came all this way alone. Her outfit wasn't even dirty and her armor shined as if kept integrity throughout the years. The woman was an elf, but looked to be roughly her age. Elves have longevity on their side so there was no telling how old this woman actually was, however, everything about her screamed old royalty. She wore black leather trousers which matched her tunic. Her red cape was decorated with gold embellishments that were also on her sword sheath and boots. Her gold and red chest piece appeared regal as if she served some higher authority, but nothing from this era that she recognized. Whomever she was, she wasn't someone to be trifled with or taken lightly so Tsuna had better find a way out of this predicament quick. "If you're going to kill me at least give your name." Tsuna was stalling trying to think of a way to get out of grip, although formalities between the two were necessary since she knew who they were. However, the woman seemed a little too confident in herself and might slip up giving Tsuna the opportunity she needs to escape.

Her lazy elven eyes relaxed as yet another expression hung over her face. It almost appeared maternal for a moment as she blinked slowly. So, this one was going to play hard to get? Pretend to be strong and brave and smart? "Hmm" Vendeth purred, leaning her face in closer to Tsuna's, "I'll be sure to tell her the meal was extremely delicious." Vendeth tightened her grip on Tsuna's shoulder, only enough to show that if she really wanted to she could likely dislocate the girl's shoulder. Tsuna then went on to ask the elf her name, to which she relished a reply. "Vendeth" the name slipped from her tongue effortlessly. "But I'm not going to kill you. Not until I acquire Malika's wallet" Vendeth's eyes opened wider, paired again with a grin before altogether fading and turning to a scowl and clenched jaw. Vendeth dug the tips of her fingers into Tsuna's shoulder and pressed harder against the girl's chest with her other fist, holding Tsuna by the clothes at her chest. "Malika sends her regards" Vendeth began, "she doesn't even want the money - I'm here to send a message instead... and I want that money.

Tsuna Miki

The woman leaned in closer as she uttered words of reassurance while tightening her grip on Tsuna's shoulder. Tsuna flinched knowing that she could dislocate her shoulder by the way she was pressing down proving to her just how helpless she truly was in this situation. One thing Tsuna had going for her was distraction seeing how the woman answered so proudly. Vendeth was her name and she was going to prolong Tsuna's demise until she retrieves Malika's wallet. Before Tsuna could answer Vendeth's chill expression changed into contempt as she dug she fingers into her shoulder and pressed her fist hard against her chest. The clothes she grabbed onto were already torn with would give Tsuna the chance she needs to get out. Vendeth made her intentions clear that the money wasn't a concern for Malika, but a payment that was going to be hers. "Is that so-" Tsuna responded abruptly as she stared up at the high rising moon through the branches of the tree. Her eyes turned a bright demonic red as before and her transform began. Her bones cracked and stretched as black fur took the place of her skin. The fabric Vendeth had been holding on tore away and using the tree as leverage Tsuna holstered herself up kicking Vendeth away, but she was able to take a gash out of her shoulder with her nails. Using her boost in speed, she ran past Vendeth and retrieved her hammer quickly reversing her transformation. She didn't stay in Therian form because she still had no control over it and didn't know how long her stamina would last before she passes out. Tsuna took a strong stand, she breathed heavily attempting to calm herself down and with her chest a bit more exposed it was obviously. She had to calm her nerves and focus on the enemy ahead as well as create some more distance from the caravan if she was going to engage in this fight. "If you want your money so bad, you might have to go out with some geezer to get it." She was vaguely mentioning Accart, but wouldn't give Vendeth the pleasure of knowing the exact location of the wallet. "Or how about this, go out on a date with me instead and save yourself a dignity." Tsuna winked flirtatiously and jumped back before running a distance away. She didn't stray to far though and had a feeling Vendeth would follow. The woman was itching to draw blood, especially seeing how deep the cuts from her fingers were on her shoulder. She may not get her money, but Tsuna could oblige her with a good time.

Vendeth's eyes narrowed as Tsuna began to transform, causing her grip on the girl's torso to let go as the fabric of her already tattered shirt fell apart. In that moment of confusion Vendeth tried to hold on tightly to Tsuna's growing shoulder muscles but failed to keep grip, leaving behind some nasty scatches before she was kicked backwards by canine legs. Vendeth staggered backwards, coming to an elegant stop. She was crouched down, smiling at the ground as Tsuna ran around her to retrieve her weapon. Vendeth, still on one knee, slowly clutched the handle of her sword at her waist with one hand. She listened to what Tsuna had to say and let out a chuckle as she slowly came to rise, standing tall and drawing her sword. It's clean edge reflected the moonlight as Vendeth finally raised her head to slowly blink at the child as she winked and jumped back to create some distance between them. "Accart?" A cheshire grin grew on her lips, stretching from cheekbone to cheekbone as she exposed the name she bet Tsuna didn't expect her to know. Vendeth licked her lips, "He's in a ditch."

Vendeth began her run, taking off with a grace step that only the elves of old could have. She moved quietly through the trees, skipping twigs and avoiding stones, weaving between the trunks like a sewing needle creating its masterpiece. She allowed Tsuna to have her game of cat and mouse before coming close enough to use her magic. She searched the dark for Tsuna, raised her arm and swiped it to the side. The blood on Tsuna's shoulder coalesced, feeling like a crawling bug as it moved and shot out towards the nearest tree like trailing dart, attaching Tsuna like a chained animal. The bond wasn't strong, and would break with a small amount of force. But Vendeth knew that it would hurt, like a stab from a knife.

She then dashed in front of Tsuna, kicking her once against in the gut to stagger her. She then stepped forwards, slashing down in an arc, again from the side and finally attempted to stab forwards with her blade. "Still want to court me?" Vendeth asked, commanding Tsuna's bloody shoulder to attach itself to another tree, "I'm all out of dignity - so you won't embarrass me one bit" she said in a tone as though she spoke to a baby. "Oh" she added, sounding stern once more, "but I do have taste."

Tsuna Miki

Tsuna would have been surprised, but after the chaos they caused inside his workshop she figured news got around. "So, you know the b*****d then? How is he?" Tsuna asked jokingly, but didn't expect her depraved answer. She killed him, or someone did. Serves the old man right for coning people out of their money or at least that's how she justifies his passing. "It'll take a lot more than that to scare me, Vendeth!" Tsuna shouted back bravely even though she was afraid. This woman would probably kill a stray cat just for crossing her path so she had to think on her toes for this fight. She was no longer an academy student and this wasn't a friendly brawl, but a fight to the death. One wrong move and she could be easily decapitated by that fancy sword of hers. Vendeth pursued, but made like work of her steps so she wouldn't be alerted by Tsuna's acute hearing. She had plenty of time to analyze her and her teams fighting styles beforehand since she had been tracking them all this time. Tsuna was at a disadvantage because she knew nothing about her opponent expect for the weapon she wields and her short temperament by the injure to her shoulder. Tsuna stopped in the middle of a clearing listening to her surroundings, but this would be a mistake.

By some wild magic, Vendeth found her and swiped at her coalescing the blood on her shoulder as it moved around violently. The sensation felt like bugs crawling through her skin making her eyes widen and teeth grind as she held back a scream of pain. The blood shot out chaining her to a tree and even with little movement or breakage it was agonizing. Dashing forward, Vendeth kicked her in the gut knocking her back causing the blood to break from the tree focusing out a muffled scream that she held back. She then sliced down in an arc before stabbing forward which Tsuna managed to fumble into a dodge and block the blade just enough to avoid damage other than a small cut to her side. She teased her and attached her to a tree again with her own blood as she continued to enlighten her on her preferences. Although she was in pain, Tsuna clenched her teeth in a smirk as she began to heat up the pole of her hammer. With her other hand, she shakily scratched the side of her head acting nonchalant when she was really grabbing for one of Ivan's cigarettes behind her human ears hidden with in her hair. Since she didn't have her jacket anymore to pocket the cigarettes ahead, she took some and stuck them behind her ears in case she found herself in another nasty battle. Once she had on cradled in her fist, she indulged Vendeth's commentary waiting for the right moment.

"Question is would you even want to court me? I don't know s**t about love, but you're pretty despite you probably being centuries older than me. I do admire your strength though and as for dignity we're in the same boat." Once her hammer was heated enough enough, she pressed the cigarette to the metal lighting the tip and sticking it in between her lips. "However, don't insult me with that taste bullshit. We wouldn't be out here tussling if that were true!" Tsuna inhaled and pulled back breaking the blood restraints holding in another scream. She ran forward back for Vendeth and blew out smoke once she thought she was close enough. The smoke spread out in a wide range and quickly making it hard to dodge. Ivan's little illusion trick was her last resort knowing it would be difficult just facing this woman in mere blade to blade combat. Her experience was off the charts and her moves concise, and Tsuna knew she couldn't win unless she played dirty. Ivan's cigarettes looked so ordinary and when lighting them up during a battle the opponents almost always assume its to calm the nerves.

Vendeth was comfortable believing that her victim was helpless and completely under her control. She teased Tsuna like a cat would play with its food, but didn't expect Tsuna to actually bite back. At Tsuna's comment of Vendeth being much older, centuries old even, she smiled slyly. Oh she was close - but if only she knew just how old. Then she watched as Tsuna prepared a cigarette - heating it with her weapon - something Vendeth eyed and memorised for later. As her eyes moved back to Tsuna's face during her last comment about taste, Vendeth hadn't considered Tsuna would then break free.

Tsuna blew a face-full of spoke into Vendeth's eyes, causing her to squint in anger and swipe forwards to try and catch Tsuna. Vendeth held up her blade, watching the world around her become hazed. She blinked, forcing her eyesight to adapt as it attempted to pierce the smoke. It worked, for a few moments, as Vendeth caught site of Tsuna and began to walk forwards, sword pointing low towards the ground beside her as she moved. "You won't escape me, little-" Vendeth stopped in her tracks, sensing something as off. Her skin crawled as she sensed subtle magic at work. "Illusions?" she said, looking around calmly. She hadn't seen anything yet, and assumed her natural affinity to resist them was working. But then as she took another step she felt her foot squelch into something thick and wet. Looking down she saw a pool of thickened, coagulating blood. She tilted her head, scowling as she took a calm step back. She believed it was an illusion, but she didn't sense it coming from Tsuna. She looked up again to pursue Tsuna, but in her place she saw a young elven woman with dark auburn hair. Vendeth's heart skipped a beat. No she thought, reminding herself that this was impossible. "Ameria" the elf said before blood bubbled up from her mouth, a blade erupting from her chest. Black figures surrounded her now, cutting the elf down. "Ameria, why didn't you save me?" she screamed. Vendeth charged forwards, cutting through the visions like they were paper as she shouted "ENOUGH. You know not what lies you weave!" Vendeth took in a deep breath, anger building within her as she tightened her grip on her sword. Her hand practically went numb under the amount of pressure she was forcing down on it. But then as she turned she saw it - a memory she had long since burried. She saw, in the emptiness, a coffin of stone surrounding in flowers and ivy the colour of the sunset. Blood was pooling out of it, falling over its edge like a waterfull rushing towards her. She looked away, but next she saw the elf again, staggering towards her with blood across her open chest. Vendeth instinctually moved to catch her. "Elor'riel" she muttered. But she squinted, shaking herself as she dropped the corpse. "No... no... no" Vendeth began to wearily step backwards, suddenly falling back into the bloody coffin. "You let me die, Ameria" Elor'riel said. Vendeth jumped up as she screamed "NO!" Her voice cracked, pain tearing through it like knives in her throat. She gritted her teeth, anger in her eyes as she clenched her jaw. A tear fell down her cheek as she said "I will make you suffer, and I will make your friends watch for a long, long time, before I end them right in front of you." She held up her hand, attempting to feel the space around her for Tsuna's blood. She knew the wound was still bleeding, and so tightened her fist to command the blood to splutter and attach to whatever was nearby. But as she did another image also appeared before her. A mass of congealed blood and sinew, dark and old, half dry and rotten raised up in front of her. She felt her chest implode as all sanity within her vanished. Another elf appeared beside it, tall and slender, with long white hair and dark armour. He held up a runed sword and stabbed the bloody golem through the centre, ending its miserable life. He stared Vendeth in the eyes as she recalled these events as she had come to twist it - for her own sake. "Zylvanness" she muttered quietly, falling to her knees with an empty expression on her face. He looked down upon her as he said "she is dead again because of you." This memory, a fabricated story Vendeth had put together in her eternity of looking for an answer to her sorrow, finally broke her. She fell forwards onto her hands, staring at the ground as a smile grew on her lips, eyes dilating as the taste of blood filled her mouth. She had bitten her cheeks, forcing the addictive taste of iron to bring her to her senses. The illusion began to fade as she began to laugh hysterically into the grass beneath her. A mixture of anger and laughter fighting for control over her body as she breathed in heavily - as if a panic attack was also tearing through her body at the same time. Now the illusion was gone, she had noticed some cuts on her body from where Tsuna had taken her chances and landed some cheap shots on Vendeth during her confusion. No matter though - she couldn't feel it. She couldn't feel the grass beneath her bare hands, nor the cold air passing through her lungs, or the emotions in her heart... or anything for that matter - except for pain, denial, and hatred.

"Little... mutt" she said with a seething hatred, then a chuckle, as she stood up. She hung her head to one side as her eyes immediately locked in on Tsuna not so far away. "I want you blood" she said, "give me... I want it, I want to taste it." She no longer had her sword, nor did she care to find it. Instead she darted from her position at terrifying speed as she slammed into Tsuna, sending her flying as her open wound began to sputter out and send out several streams of blood. Each one attaching and breaking, attaching and breaking over and over until she finally came to a stop. Vendeth stood still where she ahd struck Tsuna, now holding her bloody hand up to her mouth as she relished in the taste of Tsuna's fresh blood. Ecstasy rushed through her as she smiled, "don't stop, don't stop" she said, "one more bite" she continued, out of breath as she smeared it over her mouth and down her neck, clutching tightly as she said "it's not enough". This time pain began to show i the tone of her voice as her eyes looking over towards Tsuna, "it's not enough."

Tsuna Miki

The hazy smoke billowed from her lips surrounding Vendeth as the woman forced herself to focus within the cloud. Tsuna had distanced herself enough from the area, but Vendeth was still able to see her due to the smoke not taking full effect yet. As she menacingly strutted towards her with her sword low to the ground threatening her, Vendeth stopped abruptly. She questioned the possibility of an illusion, but was unsure where the illusion was erupting from which was a logical analysis. It's entirely probable that Tsuna had the power to educe illusions from secret powers she possessed. Or, the cigarettes were more than what they seemed but either way when someone is confronted with abnormalities it'd be hard to concentrate. Although, Tsuna couldn't not see what Vendeth sees, she could observe her movements and listen for nuggets of information to use against her opponent. Standing back, Tsuna readying herself to attack Vendeth when she's most venerable to wear her down enough after the smoke clears. This will give her the advantage she needs to take Vendeth down once and for all. However, this would be the first time Tsuna has ever considered killing someone in cold blood and to say that she wasn't conflicted over the subject was a lie. The thought of murdering Vendeth made her stomach turn, but if she didn't kill the elf then Vendeth would kill her team and her without a second thought.

At first, she watched as Vendeth stepped into something by the way she stumbled forwards before stepped back calmly and scowling in disgust. This gave Tsuna a small window to strike which she did so by running up and slashing a few cuts into Vendeth. She didn't stay in the smoke for long not wanting to succumb to the illusions too and backed out waiting for another chance. Whatever she saw next really got her blood bumping because she slashed at the illusion she was witnessing before her. Vendeth began shouting at Tsuna's false narrative even though she had absolutely no control what the victim sees or experiences. Vendeth was clearly looking in her direction, but didn't pursue her because another illusion had her attention and this one was more prevalent than the last. She was gripping the handle of her sword so tightly making Tsuna aware how tense her formation had become. She was staring intently until she turned away in order to not confront the illusion. Suddenly, she reached out to catch what ever she saw uttering a single name, Elor'reil. Tsuna repeated the name to herself committing to memory to use against her once she comes to her senses. To assist in more realism to the illusions, Tsuna attacked again this time making Vendeth fall back furthering her already compromised state. She jumped up screaming at the top of her lungs into the night as she assured Tsuna she would relish in her suffering and make her teammates watch before slaughtering them all. Tears of rage ran down her cheeks, and Tsuna knew that her threat was not just empty words but a personal vendetta. Putting up her hand, Tsuna could sense her wound surging and prepared herself for pain knowing that her power was unavoidable until another illusion saved her for the moment.

Vendeth looked as if something within malfunctioned or broke as she fell to her knees and stared ahead with an empty expression. She muttered another name which Tsuna barely caught, but stored it in her memory bank anyway. Zylvanness. Losing touch with reality completely, she leaned into her hands and began laughing and hyperventilating compulsively. Tsuna even caught a whiff of the blood seeping out of the corners of Vendeth's lips meaning she had injured herself. Tsuna watched mortified realizing the ramifications of what she had just done. Now she was response for breaking Vendeth's mind and had no way of fixing her, but instead had to put her out of her misery. Is this how Ivan dispatched with so many people or the years and lived with the heavy guilt of doing so? Is this what it meant to grow up and make life wrenching decisions? The smoke cleared and Vendeth regained her reserve as she stood up addressing Tsuna as a mutt. Tsuna was paralyzed with fear as Vendeth demanded her blood wanting to taste it sending shivers up her spine. Vendeth charged at her throwing her backwards before a series of torment happened. The pain Tsuna endured next was so intense that each scream was louder than the last as she blood sputtered out attaching and breaking repentantly. After releasing Tsuna, she laid on the ground shaking and vomiting from pain as she watched Vendeth's crazy reaction to her blood. She licked it off her hand and smeared it around her face and neck uttering incoherent babble looking just as stressed as Tsuna was. She had to end this madness or they were both going to end up mentally annihilated.

Finding the strength to get back on her feet, Tsuna held out her hand and took her axe making cut into her palm and letting her blood flow. "I'll give it to you...to save you." She lowed her axe dragging it behind her as she cautiously approached Vendeth. "I don't know who Elor'reil is...or Zylvanness...but they've scarred you in some way...you don't deserve that Vendeth...Please...let me help you." The closer Tsuna got the less she contemplated what she had to do hardening her heart to kill Vendeth with no regrets. She was helping her wasn't she? Releasing her from the hurt of living without these people that plague her so? Once she was close enough, she gently reached out her bloody hand holding it close to Vendeth's lips hoping that she would concentrate on the offering she was generously giving her. Whether she accepted it or not, Tsuna couldn't stop herself as she raised up her axe from behind prepared to decapitate the elf as she mouthed sorrowfully, "Sorry, Vendeth."

Vendeth

Call it a crime, but it’s so wonderful
Shame me if you want, I don’t mind at all
Appetite’s instinctual
Tell me that it’s ugly, it feels so good!

Vendeth paused as Tsuna began to offer out her palm, freshly cut from her axe and now dripping with blood. Vendeth smiled wide as she watched the girl approach, axe dragging beside her. Then the moment she mentioned Alor'riel and Zylvanness her smile subsided as anger took over again. Her brows narrowed in a scowl and she bared her teeth. Tears continued to stream down her cheeks, mixing with the blood at her mouth and neck. Blabbers of a cry escaped her as she regained her breath. "Blood" she said, "your blood - unique!" she said, now clenching her fists at her side, lick lipping her lips to savour the taste. She could read it like it was a book, she could decipher its code and though she didn't understand it completely, she knew it was different. She allowed Tsuna to approach, extending her arm to magically command the blood to congeal in Tsuna's hand and stream towards her own. Then, in a moment as quick as a flash Tsuna took her opportunity to strike.

Vendeth almost didn't notice it. She was distracted almost completely by Tsuna's offering of unknown blood. Thoughts of the possibilities that could be achieved using such blood danced around in her mind. Could this be it, could this blood be the key to bringing back her love? Could this give her the power to do it? She wasn't strong enough before, but maybe now?! Then, a glimmer of twilight gave away Tsuna's true intent. It was by a stroke of pure luck that she noticed it and moved even faster to deflected it with her armoured wrist. The axe's blade struck and slipped, causing sparks to fly as it instead swung down and into her side. Vendeth screamed and immediately clung onto Tsuna's axe by the long handle beneath the blade. She gritted her teeth, blood dripping down her as she cursed, leaning into Tsuna. "I don't... need saving." She opened her spare hand, commanding the blood she was taking from Tsuna's hand to form into several large thorny rings floating around Tsuna's body. "I need blood." Vendeth tightened her fist, rings of blood constricting around them to constrict Tsuna. Thorns rushed past Vendeth's skin, raking through her on their way to Tsuna as she relished in her moment of success. It was short-lived, however, as a green light flashed and sent Vendeth flying backwards, breaking the bloody conjuration on Tsuna before it could tighten on her body. "TSUNA" Lottie yelled from the edge of the woods, running down over the hilltop. Horakhty was at her side - avoiding the onslaught of glaives rising up and over him to arc down towards Vendeth's location as Lottie shouted slurs at the assassin. Micha'el was also running down through the trees, already conjuring a wall of light between Vendeth and Tsuna.

_____________________________

Horakhty stirred, watching the waning moon pierce through some thin clouds in the sky. Kafele grunted, looking over its shoulder towards the nearby woods. Immediately Horakhty moved to take a closer look, clasping his blade as he peered around a trip atop the hill to peer down. There among the darkness, his daywalker eyes could clearly see Tsuna being held up against a tree by a woman in white. Horakhty choked, how he thought, how did a woman in all white manage to sneak up on them? Suddenly, a wave of dread rushed over him. As quietly as he could he dashed away towards the cart that Team Sun used for resting. Once there, he pulled open the cloth doorway "Micha'el! Charlotte!" he commanded, tearing away the blankets from their bedrolls. "Who's full-naming me?!" Lottie croaked, Micha'el didn't speak, he caught Horakhty's eyes and understood immediately something was wrong. The daywalker said "grab your weapons - your teammate is about to die." The moment he spoke, a blood-curdling scream could be heard. Micha'el's heart sank into his stomach, a wave of heat rushing up through his body before adrenaline replaced his nausea. Lottie scarpered to her feet, gabbing her weapon and jumping out of the wagon in moments. Micha'el asked "where?".
"South woods" Horakhty stated. Micha'el jumped up, flying up through the hole in the cloth above where wings of white light appeared to allow him to hover. In that moment he looked around and located the wood, sending out a small sprite of white light to arc down towards Lottie and guide her to it's location. In it's trail she was faster, lighter, and began running as quickly as her feet would take her.

When Lottie arrived at the edge of the wood the wisp of light guiding her vanished. She jumped ahead and as the trunk of a tree passed her she saw bloody magic around Tsuna, which shrunk down and exploded into green light. Lottie thought then, that was it, this was the moment when she would see her friend die. "TSUNA!" she screamed. Micha'el saw the light, then Tsuna drop down to the floor, then Lottie rushing down to fight, glaives soaring through the air overhead coming down in a line towards their intended victim. Anger rushed through him, how dare someone kill Tsuna? He rushed down the hill, jumped high and far to come to a skidding stop beside Tsuna as white light cut through the ground nearby to divide them from her assailant. "Tsuna!" he shouted, "Tsuna!" his voice breaking as he picked her up, noting the wound on her hand and shoulder. He placed his hand on her chest and a rush of cold ran over him as he sensed her life force. The air escaped his lungs as he realised she was alive. "Tsuna, listen to me. It's Micha'el. We're here, you're going to be alright. I'll protect you!" he began to work his magic on Tsuna, white light pouring from his fingertips like white smoke as it danced over her wounds. It began to knit her skin back together, leaving behind smooth, glistening scars in the shape of a light-kissed line on her palm, and kaleidoscope star on her shoulder. He couldn't replace the blood-loss, but he could stop the wounds from bleeding any further. He could protect her, he had to protect her, he had to make her safe! His eyes flashed blue as he shouted her name again, commanding her to wake up as the ground around her shook once and star-like light danced off her skin, like dust from a freshly disturbed object.

Lottie ran at the assailant who had seemingly dashed away at the last moment, crashing backwards into some bushes. Not for a moment did she realise that Vendeth was thrown backwards against her own will. When Lottie got there, her blades all came down like needles into the bush. Vendeth jumped up high, avoiding the attack as she landed not far from Lottie, holding her bleeding side. "I'll make you pay for what you have done! Murderer!" Lottie shouted, believing Tsuna dead. She swung her glaive once, then twice, then again. Each time Vendeth lazily moved out of the way, dashing slightly further back each time as her palm caressed her open wound. Blood began to stitch her wound back together until Lottie commanded her spectral glaives to circle Vendeth and come down. Vendeth took the blood from her bleeding mouth, cleaning it all off in one clean gesture. It magically turned into a glob that divided into a dozen smaller orbs that perfectly stopped each spectral glaive in their tracks. "Little brat" Vendeth muttered, "i'll kill all of you."

Micha'el watched as Tsuna woke up, as if his command worked. Instinctually he hugged her so tight it probably hurt. "We have to get you out of here" he said, coming to stand as he helped her up. Then the sound of magic breaking could be heard as his white barrier shattered and Lottie came flying through. With one hand he caught Lottie in his magic, bringing her to a steady stop. With his other he snapped his fingers. A wave of sound and light exploded, forcing Vendeth back again. Lottie stood, gasping as she noticed Tsuna alive. Micha'el then dashed forwards, allowing Horakhty to take hold of Tsuna and act as her pillar of support. Micha'el magic may have stopped the wounds externally, but any damage done, any exhaustion, would still be there. Yet somehow, he commanded her consciousness to remain awake. Micha'el summoned a giant kite shield of light and bashed into Vendeth. Her cape fluttered backwards as she blocked the blow with her arm, grunting like an animal. Micha'el then blinded her with light, causing her to jump backwards, retrieving her sword as she prepared again.

"Time for you to make a decision" Horakhty said, looking towards Vendeth, and Lottie knew exactly what he was asking. "I already decided" she said maturely, holding her glaive at her chest. "Willow Morta - let me fight like those before me. Summon up thy ancestors - let them fight through me." Her glaive glowed grey and the shape of her eyes changed minutely. The innocent roundness of her gaze was gone, and instead came a focused and wise glare. She twirled her weapon and held it low behind her, a stance she hadn't used before, as she suddenly adapted to a knew fighting technique. A ghostly essence dripped from her blade like the smoke from dry ice. As her foot moved, it too left behind the same ethereal essence. "A weakness, Tsuna. Does she have it?" Lottie asked sternly, staring ahead.

Tsuna Miki

Vendeth displayed a wide array of emotions from joy and ecstasy to anger and sorrowful rage at the mention of the names she had provided earlier. Her blathering cries made Tsuna sympathize with her more as she gave Vendeth what she desired. According to her, Tsuna's blood was considered unique despite how ordinary it appeared. Licking her lips with an unquenchable appetite, she congealed her blood making it flow from her cut in a stream ready to consume. The sensation was painful, but not as agonizing as the sputter and breakage of blood. The glistening of moonlight unfortunately gave away her position allowing Vendeth to block her attack. Sparks flew off the two metals collide as her weapon slid off Vendeth armor swinging down into her side. Her scream blasted in her ears as blood gushed down her side. She grabbed onto Tsuna's weapon pulling her close and pinning her down with her disgusted by the wolf's supposed charity. She conjured thorny rings of blood around Tsuna's head ready to constrict her ending her life. Tsuna didn't think this was how her life would end, but she felt like she deserved it. Still, all she wanted to do was to tell Ivan, Lumina, Lottie and Micha'el how much she loved them. Like father like daughter, she was going to leave them behind and eventually be forgotten. She had broken her promise to Horakhty and her father...she was the worst. When she looked at Vendeth, she saw her future self, what she could have become. Lottie and Micha'el could have easily become Elor'riel and Zylvanness to her, and once she fails them she'll end up in the same state as Vendeth. Before she dies, she decided to pass some dying advice onto her adversary. "I was wrong...its not them who scarred you...you failed them. I've got advice for you Vendeth, quit feeling sorry for yourself its pathetic!" Tsuna splat out just as a miracle happened.

Lottie's voice surged through her last bit of consciousness as a flash of green sent Vendeth flighting backwards. Her axe clanged to the ground as Tsuna slipped forward fainting from the strenuous tension releasing from her crumbling body. Within the darkness, she found herself back at the campfire she was at in her dream. However, this time she was alone with no father figure to greet her and the flames to the fire were burning a soft hazy white glow. A muffled voice was calling out to her warming her cold husk which being cold was something she hardly felt. Suddenly, the confides of her dream rumbled as the voice commanded her back into consciousness. In the blink of an eye, that darkness turned into a dark landscape with a mass hovering over her taking up a majority of her vision as her eyes fluttered open. "Micha'el?" She grumbled tiredly as he squeezed her causing her to twinge, but it was a pain she happily accepted. Him and Lottie were here, they didn't disregard her like she thought, they didn't hate her and she felt horrible for doubting them. He pulled her up and before she could even comprehend events Lottie came crashing through the light barrier Micha'el had made. He caught her with his magic and snapped his fingers propelling Vendeth back with a wave of light. She gently smiled back at Lottie before Micha'el let her go to dash off into battle. Luckily, Horakhty was there to support her from behind so she didn't fall to the floor completely.

Micha'el summoned a giant kite shield of light to knock Vendeth back further forcing her to cover herself with her cape. Behind her cape she had somehow regained her sword back and was already taking a stance to fight. Suddenly, Horakhty addressed Lottie so personally and the way Lottie responded was so profound to her original self. She asked for her weapon's aid in battle allowing a ghostly presence to take over her body. Her innocent eyes were replaced with a wise glare as her blade shifted colors into a glowing grey hue. A smoky apparition dripped from the tip of her blade lingering like dry eyes as she took charge as Tsuna would have. A weakness...that was an easy and hard question at the same time. "Her mind...it's broken...but you have to shatter it." Tsuna felt like the explanation leaking from her lips was pure poison and she definitely felt more like the villain than Vendeth. "Elor'riel and Zylvaness are two names she uttered back when we were fighting. Lottie...you can't used compassion...not in this fight." She hated herself for suggesting that Lottie become someone else, and to not repeat her mistake. Tears ran down her cheeks as so many emotions welled up inside and escaped through her exhausted state. Once Lottie took off with the chunk of information Tsuna left her, she spilled everything out to Horakhty. "I wouldn't have blamed you if you left me to die. If you never had told them." She was able to connect the dots that he was the one whom was notified of Vendeth's presence first since they were both outside together. "I caused you so much trouble...I cause my teammates so much suffering...but I don't want to give up either...and end up like her...I won't..." Tsuna looked down at her weapon hopelessly reaching out for it. She noticed her wounds were now beautiful ethereal marks that Micha'el had given her to save her life. They've given her so much, and she had given them so little. "Horakhty...I've been lying to you this entire time...about us...about our mission...its all my fault...I have to make it right...I don't deserve your help...or your advice...but I'm begging you...if there's any way for this blunt blade could be useful please tell me." It was clear she still wanted to fight with her team, but she was so weak what more could she do?

I am very, very crazy, very... I can't ever stop myself!
Everything in the world wouldn't fill this void

Vendeth

Call it a crime, but it’s so wonderful
Shame me if you want, I don’t mind at all
Appetite’s instinctual
Tell me that it’s ugly, it feels so good!

Lottie waited patiently for her question to be answered, not taking her eye off of Vendeth for a single moment. Then with the information she needed she said "no compassion was planed" and dashed off to join the fray leaping past Micha'el. Upon landing near Vendeth she swept her weapon up, cutting through the dirt as Vendeth leaned to one side. Lottie swiped again to the side, then twirled on her foot, crouching low to bring up yet another upward swing which cut Vendeth on the cheek. Micha'el dashed in to support with a glowing sword and shield, exchanging blows with Vendeth as Lottie would dip in and out of combat to deliver hard, heavy strikes often focused on coming from a low angle. After some more blows, Vendeth leaned back on one foot and kicked Micha'el forwards whilst deflected a blow from behind with her sword, staggering Lottie as she leaned forwards to kick back, throwing Lottie back.

Horakhty held onto Tsuna, which wasn't hard considering she was much smaller than he was. Tsuna asked him for advise, admitting to lying to him about their mission. He scowled, visible clenching his jaw as he glanced over towards the battle, then back at Tsuna. "Just because a blade is blunt - does not make it useless... If you are to be their leader - then I suggest you help by leading them, or by using whatever you have at your disposable which doesn't include exhausting your body." He then looked around and took a few steps with Tsuna to prop her against the tree, "I can deliver a devastating blow - but you must prepare your team."

"Elor'riel and Zylvanness!" Lottie shouted, now beside Micha'el who had quickly come to realise Lottie had allowed Willow Morta to take over her body. Vendeth visible jerked. "DO NOT SPEAK SUCH POISON TO ME!" she screamed, lurching forwards to strike again, stabbing the air between the pair of them as a blade of blood materialised in her left hand. Shen then swept outwards with both blades. Lottie deflected the strike against her but Micha'el didn't anticipate the bloody sword, taking a strike across his gut as he fell back onto his back. Lottie eyed him for a moment, eyes almost faltering before returning to Vendeth, "did you kill them?!" she asked as she swung her blade once more. Vendeth blocked it with her armoured wrist before erupting with bloody spikes from her body. She slumped afterwards, chuckling to herself as Micha'el got to his feet, calling out to Lottie. "Lottie no! Don't! Please!" He watched as Lottie brought her blade to her chest, muttering something in secret to it as her eyes shifted again and her stance evolved. Now she held her weapon up high with one arm, aimed towards Vendeth like a viper waiting to strike.

Horakhty meanwhile had stepped closer towards the fight, no weapon in hand, as he began to draw a symbol in the air. As he did, purple lines hovered before him that seemingly caused the darkness around them to shift. It was in the shape of a holy cross and an Egyptian ankh layered on top of each other - the mark of Declasia. He then brought back his fist as the shadows behind him came together to create a gigantic fist of shadowmagic that mimicked his next attack. With a grunt he punched forwards, sending the fist flying towards Vendeth - striking her true, and sending her flying backwards, skidding and rolling across the ground until she finally come to a horrendous stop at the base of a tree, splintering it's bark. Horakhty fell to one knee, looking to Tsuna as he said "NOW!".

Micha'el and Lottie watched in awe as Vendeth vanished from sight, being launched backwards from a mysterious attack from nowhere. Their eyes both looked towards the source, seeing only Horakhty on his knee. They followed his gaze towards Tsuna and suddenly all of Team Sun were aware this was their moment - and they awaited the command of their leader.

It's unforgivable, but I can't stop, it's the sin of instinct
Ahh, It's not enough, I can't get enough, at the whim of the original sin

Saying goodbye is death by a thousand cuts
Flashbacks waking me up
I get drunk, but it's not enough

Don't stop, don't stop, feeding. Don't stop, don't stop, one more bite
