Melissa didn't like shaking hands, but she did so anyway, and smiled a little, before looking away from her. Body guard or girl friend? she thought to herself. She went quiet, and sighed as she pulled away from Shuichi and went back to sipping her milk.

 Just then yusuke and the others walked over to the table. "Hiei your hear finally you guys got here i thought the melon bread i baked for you guys in cooking class was going to get cold." she said handing Hiei the first slice then passed one to Shuichi, Kuwabara, and Yusuke. she then looked over at Melissa. " want i piece there's plenty more in my book bag. "

Melissa blinked and looked at the cake, and watched Hiei nibble on it. He wasn't really 'in school' he was there mostly to baby-sit Kuwabara and Yusuke. He also didn't care if they skipped lessons or anything like that, he was the one responsible for them wondering off into demon world.
he blinked and looked at the new girl. " found a new pet?" he asked Kurama.

 Kurama frozed in his spot his eyes going wide in shock as he forced himself to swallow the melon bread in his mouth. " she is not my new pet shes just new here and i'm showing her around" he said glaring at Hiei " besides shouldn't you be teaching your mate not to steal Yusuke's lunch" he sad pointing to Akio and Yusuke fighting over a can of fruit punch.

Hiei growled at that, but smirked at the fox's reaction. "I can tell you like her fox," He muttered only so Kurama could hear him.
Melissa squealed at the site of melon bread, and stuck it in her mouth, and chewed it happily. "hm," she sighed and sank down ignoring all that was going on around her. She was in her happy place right now.

Akio had finally took the Fruit punch from Yusuke and open it before taking a sip " Victory is mine as punishment for losing you owe me a slice of your moms pumpkin pie Yu" she then notice the guys where talking about Melissa Yoko's pet is hiei stupid Yoko doesn't trust human females or does he have a soft spot for her she thought to herself.

Melissa blushed, got up form her seat and blinked. "I'll get you another one" she said and smiled a little. "becides," she said. "I want something to hold me over, I'm starving!" she groaned.
She didn't think she'd have to deal with bullies today, but low and behold, right after she got up, she was shoved from behind by someone who looked mean and ugly. "oh sorry..." she muttered and fell a little.

Shuichi glared at the girl who pushed Melissa down his stare was dark and cold "that wasn't very nice to do shes new here at lest try being nice to her" he said before helping Melissa up. " maybe i should go with you just to make sure no one else tries to pick on the new girl"

Melissa blushed and bowed her head. She didn't like always being the new girl but if Shuichi Mimimano didn't mind protecting her, then she'd let him. She took a deep breath, and brushed a strand hair out of her eyes. "I'm sorry," she muttered softly.

Akio looked over at Yusuke, Hiei and Kurawbra their faces was blanked and hiei was grinning does Yoko really like that human or is it his human side crushing on her" she thought to herself.

Melissa tilted her head as she looked at his friends. "Your friends are giving me strange looks," she muttered and looked down at the sweet treat part of the line. She snatched a chocolate cake, and grabbed a fruit cup. When she got to the drink part of the line she grabbed Yusuke a fruit punch, and another one for herself and Aiko.
That way everyone was happy. She ignored Kuwabara bluntly, but that's because he gave her strange looks all the time. So she just stood next to Kurama as she paid the person.

Kurama Laughed and grabbed a muffin for himself " they're always that they think i may never date again cause a bad relationship and i really try not to get close to my fan girls. but you are different" he said paying 4 the muffin.

She blushed. He was handsome she had to admit, but she shook her head. "i hope I'm not like those bozos." she said softly, and placed a hand on her chin. She hoped none of the girls heard that, or it would have been smelly jym lockers for sure this time.
The very thought made her cling to Shuichi's hand, but she pulled away and looked down at her feet. She prmused herself she wouldn't be clingy.
