If possible, Raik's slightly-creepy smile got even bigger. He jabbed Takuto (not with a claw) then bounded off into the grass. "YOU'RE IT!" He barreled down the hill towards the middle of the field and away from the treeline. He didn't run full tilt-- he was bigger than Takuto, after all-- but he still ran. This was GREAT! Raik laughed maniacally. Impetua nodded. "It's nice to meet you, too, Leilani." She nudged her basket of eggs towards Leilani. "You can have some if you want. I have more than I can eat." She shifted awkwardly. Imp wasn't totally sure how to act with other demons without looking like a b***h. She seemed to be doing okay so far.
Imp decided to try one of the eggs. She skewered it on one claw, ripped the foil off, and lifted it up. She ripped it in half before viciously biting it.

The sky darkens. The edges of the woods grow hazy. A crackling in the air tingles the skin. A sense of dread moves into the area.
A shadowy Wraik emerges from the surrounding woods. More Wraiks, followers of the shadowy figure, appear all round the picnic area. Walking into the picnic with an air of superiority, the Wraiks stomp through food covered blankets like a bully kicking down a sand castle. Mutterings can be heard as dark magic invades the once festive scene. The woven straw in the Easter baskets fray and pop. The shiny ribbons fade and wilt. Some of the Easter eggs shed their pretty bright colors.
The Easter Meiko floats over to shoo them away. In a crack of thunder and a poof of smoke, the Wraiks are gone. And with them… the Easter Meiko!
The Wraiks have bunny-napped the Easter Icon!
Are you indignant that they would try such a thing? Or are you just glad they didn’t take all the food? Do you gather together to go form a plan to get the bunny-eared Meiko back? Or do you try to salvage what you can of the food? (There are no right or wrong choices. Just RP and have fun!)

Thalassa had decided she was going to be fashionably late to the party. It wasn't because she didn't care about it, but well, one, she was the type to just do what she felt like, and two, she thought it would make her look cool. So she had just strutted into the clearing where the shindig was supposed to be, thinking of how she was gonna rip up the competition in the egg hunts and games, then probably just pig out on all the treats afterwards, when she noticed a change in the air around her. "What the hell?" she blurts out. She hadn't noticed the sky grow dark, lost in her thoughts as she was, but she sure felt the tingling sensation and then what felt like ...just vibes of evil, crawling all over her fur. She looked around her and saw several Wraiks just materialize from everywhere, and a low growl escaped her throat. "What the heck are THEY doing here," she muttered, and as she saw them start to crash the party in front of her, she charged ahead, not scared by the magic she felt permeating everything. She was a ways away yet, and a funny looking Meiko got there first. Feh, that thing wasn't gonna do any good; only claws would teach those Wraiks a lesson, she decided. But she never got a chance. The thunderclap startled her and she jumped enough to throw herself off kilter, her speed throwing her into a tumble into the grass, face first. By the time she looked up after eating dirt, they were..............gone? Ugh, some party this was turning out to be.

Raik was in the air, mid-pounce, when a burst of magic hit him. Raik froze in midair before falling flat on his face. With a hiss, he sprang up, snarling. SOMEBODY was gonna PAY for interrupting his game, dammit! The treeline grew hazy, and a bunch of Wraik slunk out of them. Raik charged the intruders, horns down like a bull, snarling. Before he could intercept them, the Easter Meiko floated over. Raik skid to a halt and the Easter Meiko started shooing the intruders away. There was an ear-bursting crack of thunder, a burst of smoke, and both the Wraik and the Easter Meiko vanished.
Raik blinked in shock. The... Easter... Meiko..... was.... gone. DAMMIT, RAIK HADN'T GOTTEN HIS CANDY YET!!! Not only had those interlopers interrupted Raik's game, but they'd stolen Raik's source of candy! THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE!
Raik howled in rage, "BRING HIM BACK, YOU SNOT-NOSED, CLAW-FILING---- [further dialogue is bleeped for the sake of decency; let it be known, however, that this diatribe contains language most foul, acts most disgusting, and physically impossible bodily movements] --- I AM GONNA FIND YOU AND GET MY CANDY, JUST YOU SEE!!!" Impetua blinked furiously in confusion. What just happened? Why were there Wraiks everywhere? WHERE WAS THAT GIGANTIC WHITE MEIKO EVERYBODY WAS WORSHIPING?! She rubbed her eyes again. Where was the Easter Meiko? The Wraiks just kidnapped the Meiko? Aw crap. She felt compelled to do something. But she really didn't want to.
Oh, wait. There was Raik, shrieking. Something about violence, retribution, and candy. How... surprising. Crap. If Imp didn't do something, Raik was going to end up in trouble. Or something. Either way, Imp was going to have to go along and babysit him, or she'd never hear the end of it from her human-slave-thing. How intensely irritating.
With an irritated huff, she stood up and stretched languorously. "Excuse me, Leilani," Impetua said, "I have to go babysit Raik to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. It appears he is upset the Easter-Candy-Lord has been kidnapped before he could give Raik his candy. If you'll excuse me..." Without waiting for a reply, Imp trotted over to Raik and cuffed him (a bit harder than necessary) on the shoulder. Raik's oaths of vengeance cut off abruptly as Imp suddenly appeared out of nowhere and cuffed him. "Hey, that hurt!" he whined.Imp rolled her eyes at him, "Cease your infernal shrieking, you cretin."Raik's eyes lit up. "Does that mean you're coming with me?!"Imp rolled her eyes at him again, "Ugh. Yes."

He had almost fallen asleep under the shade of a tree from the lack of company. Everyone else seemed absorbed in their own little conversations, but he was happy just watching the going-ons of other winiko. He let out a large yawn before commotion hit. Wraiks appeared out of nowhere and disappeared as mysteriously as they had appeared. The crack of thunder sent a shiver down Morty's spine and shook all the sleepiness out of his system. When he had come out of his confusion, he noticed something was wrong. Where did the rabbit go?
Mordecai got to his feet and stepped into the clearing where the confused winiko were. He held his tongue, wondering what everyone else's feelings were on the situation before making assumptions that everyone wanted to save the meiko.

Uaithne Uaithne had jolted at the sight of the Wraiks. The male stood one claw coming around the small Wini before he looked down at the child. His other claw shut the book as he tucked it away in his scarf, "It seems I shall tell you a story as we go along. Does that sound like more fun?"He waited a few heartbeats before starting his tale, "Once upon a time there was a kind and gentle Meiko who wished to share Easter with everyone. As the Picnic filled with joy and happy goers. It seemed though that not everyone wanted the good celebration. A mean and harsh Wraik had disturbed the Picnic the Meiko had set out for everyone." Uaithne glanced up to recall what he had semi-witnessed. Evil auras...large groups...yep. Those guys made every badguy in the world proud with their entrance. He looked back down at the baby, "When the Meiko went to shoo them away from disturbing the peace. The Wraiks took her from the Picnic goers. Now, the players are gathering and everyone is reacting right before us. Shall we settle here and watch?" he settled back down, the infant wini in-between his front claws as he looked down at her. [[OOC: Uaithne felt that the baby needs to stay out of all the chaos and potential danger...>> So, he's set for playing babysitter. ]]

Leilani Was really enjoying het conversation with Impetua, she always liked making new aquaintances. she had just been about to react to the nice offer to share treats when the Wraiks appeared. what happened next went very fast, the Wraiks seemed to get in a conflict with the Easter Meiko, and then suddenly the Thunder struck.... and they were all gone.
For a moment Leilani looked around in confussion, only giving a vague nod when Impetua moved away. after making sure Fawn was ok (after all she seemed to be) Leilani walked forward to the growing group of winiko in the middle of the clearing. "What are we going to do now? ..... I mean we can't just abandon that sweet Easter creature.. Right?" she looked around at the others waiting for an answer. For a moment little Fawn did not seem to understand what was happening. She was following the strange newcommers with big eyes and she was glad of Uaithne's protective claw. The thunderclap frightened her for a brief moment, and she scuttled closer to her new companion. She listened to his explination, seemed to weight it in her mind and then nodded brightly again "Yes, Look at story!" She leaned into Uaithne as she listened to his story about what was happening, and looked at the older winiko assembling in the clearing "are they go try to find? like looking for lost princess? we help much?" even though it was a bit scary she was starting to like this really happening story, and did not want to miss a moment of it

Thalassa sat up and wiped the dirt off her face, hoping no one had noticed her little faceplant. She grunted at the empty space in front of her where that weird Meiko had been. It wasn't really the rabbit-looking thing she cared about, to be honest, as she had gotten here too late to realize what it was all about, but the fact she detested Wraiks and they had wrecked EVERYTHING upon their arrival before she had time to enjoy it INFURIATED her. She waited until she was at least somewhat presentable before stalking over to the other Winiko. "Who wants to go pound some freaking Wraik tail?!" she calls out boldly, and it was then she saw....another Wraik? What the hell was going on here? She didn't think this brown one was part of the group that caused the ruckus, but still...she wrinkled her nose at the sight of him, plainly disgusted with his presence at this party.

Raik was totally oblivious to the purple Wini's disgust. He grinned a feral, sharp-toothed smile. "YEAH!" he shouted, pumping one fist into the air. "Let's go kick so Bunny-Stealin' Wraik butts!"
Raik looked around the clearing, hoping to see somebody else to add to the makeshift "rescue" group. At the moment, there was him, Imp, the purple Wini, and a blue Wini. Raik noticed a big, pale-colored male Wini with large wooden horns. "HEY! YOU!" he shouted, "WITH THE BIG WOODY HORNS! You wanna come kick butt with us? Yer big 'n look like you'd smash stuff well." Impetua, however, did not miss the purple Wini's look of disgust. Imp narrowed her eyes at the Wini dangerously and growled a little in her throat. If anybody was going to kill Raik, it was going to be her, dammit! Imp leaned against Raik's side-- he didn't even notice; he was too busy shouting. Imp flattened her ears against his shrill, annoying, LOUD voice. She looked directly at the purple Wini, narrowed her eyes again in a very pointed glare that threatened bad things, and growled deep in her throat again.
And then Raik shouted again. Even more loudly, if that was even possible, at some poor male. Imp hissed, yanked away from Raik, and cuffed him soundly. "Keep your voice down, you idiot!" she snarled. "We're all right here!"Raik rubbed his shoulder sourly and pursed his lips. "Well, the big guy isn't right here, he grumbled. A thought occurred to him, "Hey, what're all your names? I'm Raik, and this's Impetua."

He looked around, seeing if someone else had wood horns. He was a bit shocked to be called over, but complied without complaint. "We should think about the situation rationally first before jumping to conclusions and er... kicking butt." The wraik seemed quite angry and determined. While Morty was also worried, he believed in knowing the whole story before resorting to violence. Though he was a bit of a hypocrite and would hunt whoever made his Parla upset without second questions.
"I'd prefer to solve this calmly and with as little force as possible. Violence is also a bad example for the little ones." He noted this even though there was only one child present at the party. "My name is Mordecai, nice to meet you, Raik, Impetua" He dipped is head in a greeting to the wraik and the winiko.

Uaithne Uaithne chuckled at the little girls words, "Let's wait to see what the other adults want to do first. It seems as if one of them is all set to go get some baddies."He looked over the others. One seemed older than them, his wooden horns something the orange mini thought were interesting. There was a purple wini who seemed a little more intense than the others gathered. A wraik who seemed all gun-ho about tracking down the baddies. A black wini who seemed ready to smack the wraik. As well as a flowery wini who he noticed glanced to check on the little one in his claws. He blinked, "I just realized little one, we never told each other our names. I am Uaithne, but if that's too hard to say. Then just call me Thane or whatever's easier."[[OOC: And set up for cute moment ]]

The little group around Leilani now seemed to be made up out of all the adult winiko around, except for the orange mini winiko that was looking after Fawn. as she looked around the group they seemed to be dealing with some rather diverce standpoints. the young Raik seemed to just want to rush headlong into action, the purple winiko seemed offended by him, Impetua looked like she was a barriere between the two, finally Mordecai the last to join the group seemed to be the voice of reason.
"hello all, My name is Lailani" she spoke to everyone "and though I agree with you Raik that something needs to be done to help the sweet Easter meiko, I do think Mordecai is right. We have to think first" she thought for a moment and weighed her words. "We first have to know who they were, where they came from, and what their intentions are. if we don't have that information we don't have a clue what we would be up against in trying to rescue the Meiko."
She hoped some of the others might know more about these subjects. Fawn listened as Uaithne told her to wait and see what would happen, she nodded carefully, but it was clear the little girl was very curious to get closer to the grown ups to find out what they were planning to do. this story was nothing like the fairytales her daddy told her, and it was getting more amazing by the second "They not go leave us behind ?" she asked. something inside her was telling her that staying behind would not help her story at all.
she was looking at the grown up so intently that she almost missed Uaithne introducing himself, she blinked at him twice, slowly and silently mouthing his name as if tasting the sound "U... U-ai ..Ai-th ......." she made a frustrated face "yes hard.... you Thane" she decided "I Fawn, very .... not hard" she said smiling and proud. "Is Thane my friend?" Right now she felt she could really ude a friend, and Uaithne seemed like a great option.

Raik pursed his lips in an irritated pout. He opened his mouth, "A whole buncha guys showed up and wrecked stuff. When the Easter-Candy-Giver-Outer went over to 'em, he vanished along with the jerks. What else is there----" Impetua stuffed a paw in Raik's mouth. "Will you shut up?" she snapped. She pulled her now-slobber-covered paw out before Raik could bite down. "Mordecai and Leilani are right. I know it's hard for you, but you need a direction to be aimed at if you want to pounce something. It's stupid to just charge into the trees and hope you run into the Wraik."
Imp treated herself to a mental image of Raik barreling into the treeline and promptly running into a tree. She resisted the urge to grin evilly.Raik opened his mouth to say something.Imp cut him off. "And before you ask, I'm not talking about YOU. I'm talking about the group of Wraik that kidnapped the Meiko." She huffed and looked around the group. "First thing we need to do is try to figure out where they went. I suggest we look for clues-- footprints, magical residue, tufts of hair, whatever." Raik blinked several times, trying to process this information. It was weird that his name was the same as the group that kidnapped the Meiko. He wondered if they'd been in some kind of gang and Imp had seen the gang markings or something. With a little shrug, he put it out of his mind. He had CLUES to look for! Raik stuck his nose to the ground and started sniffing around.[OOC:Raik is oblivious to species differences. He knows there are demons-- Meiko and Winiko-- but it never occurred to him that there are Wraik. He's never met one before, so he kind of assumes he's, like, a bald Wini or something. Raik's not very bright. He's assuming the reason Impetua called the group "Wraik" is because they are part of some group, like saying "The Hell's Angels stormed in and kidnapped the Meiko". Or "The Bloods kidnapped him". Or "The group of Crips kidnapped the Easter Bunny".]
[OOC 2: Is somebody going to lead this RP (like a Dungeon Master in a D&D game), or is it going to end up a make-it-up-as-we-go-along type of thing? I'm used to RPs with "plot" having some kind of RP Leader, so I'm just asking here.]

Lilliana stared in shock as the wraiks appeared destroyed things and then stole the easter meiko. She was angry that they had destroyed the fun for the younger ones and she was going to find them and make them fix this mess. She went off to see what she could find out and if she could find any clues. Takuto jumped as he was jabbed at and smiled as he heard Tag. But then the wraiks appeared and he jumped as they destroyed the place before he had a chance to chase after his new friend. He got a bit confused but then shook his head. He wanted to help and find the easter meiko and help out. He felt bad that it had been kidnapped and he wanted to help get it back. He ran around and found his friend Raik again but this time he was with other winikos. He walked over hesitantly and smiled at them. "Can I help you out with finding the easter meiko?" He hoped they would be ok with him wanting to help out.
