Just standing around to wait for the rabbit's return was not going to be good enough. Mimsy joined them in the chase, cat ears twitching towards the sound of its feet thumping rapidly against the ground. Quote: The monster pops up in front of you, barring your way! AND THEN SOMETHING HAPPENED.....!!!!!!
The bushes seemed to be where all of those terrible roses were coming from, and to be honest, if they were going to get anywhere, he felt confident they were going to have to clear them out. So he was determined to clear the path for the ladies.
He jumped right into the rose bush. Right into it.

Luckily, roses were easy to fight. He'd worked on a farm his whole life, and his hands were rough, and - OH, right, puppet hands. Robert was fighting with dead bushes, now. But he still kept fighting, because THEY HAD HURT HIS MIMSY.
