 Uchiha SakurayukiTAB TAB▬▬▬▬▬TABHp ღ MHp ღ CpTB50/50 | 50/50 | 60/60TAB TAB▬▬▬▬▬ Yuki had a very sudden (and strong) urge to simply pretend everything didn't happen, but she couldn't exactly go up there and shove all the men away. She stood there on the verge of frustration and worry, trying to decide between listening to the man who was talking, or taking cover for her team leader. Torn between the two decisions, she ended up trying to do both, which wasn't all that effective anyway, with Shinzu already having taken(have taken? No, having taken, right? Grammar.. fuuuu) the brunt of the attacks already. She glared at the men with a baleful eye, trying to make sure her leader was okay. Until he decided to speak up, that was. Yuki's diplomatic smile faltered for a split second as the corners of her mouth threatened to twitch. She secretly toyed with the idea of letting them get a few more hits in to regain sanity, but of course she wasn't going to let that happen, as tempting as it was. 'Baah, males and their pride,' she thought as she attempted (and failed) to not roll her eyes at his remarks. Really, was he asking for a fight or something after everything that had happened? And they still hadn't met the Jester either, let alone find any information about him, come to think of it.
"Aah.. what he means is that we might be able to help you if you could give us some information, jisan. Senpai is er.. normally, really, really, really nice, I'm sure he'd love to help as well, ne?" she hurriedly spoke, kicking him in the shin discreetly for good measure when they seemed like the snide comment almost touched a nerve, getting them all to focus on her instead. "Eh, have you seen the Kanazumi clan's forehead protectors, by any chance jisan? What about their meeting place? Anything you can tell us?" she pried, hopeful for some information. Perhaps the Jester was involved in this as well, but she decided it was wiser not to ask directly, unless the villagers mentioned it first. If this got into other ears, they would simply be shinobi trying to help, not suspicious nin snooping around for a missing-nin.
...Hey wait a minute. Wasn't this job normally done by Hunter-nin?!
OCC: And Yuki suddenly felt very cheated...(Do I need a diplomacy roll? I'm not sure if the seduction roll did it or not, so I'm rolling just in case. sweatdrop Edit: What is up with these crazy rolls on this mission?) Diplomacy : 19 (+ 0)

[[It was an innuendo check, so you need to make an innuendo check to read between the lines.
A 19 would pass though, so you get it. Basically you gather that the Kanazumi are more socially inclined than physically and that they have deep pockets. Most of their muscle is hired, and thats what they are really looking for.
Also, the Kanazumi have been killing the women and children to attempt to motivate the other families to work harder.]]

(Shinzu recovers 43 hp via resting while this scene happens.) The villagers laughed when the little girl mentioned headbands, "The Kanazumi are not ninja little one." They explained more in depth that they are just a clan or very rich socialites with friends in the right places. It got bad a few months back when people were taken from their homes. The ones that the Kanazumi clan liked became servants of the clan and the rest were sold to slavers or killed for entertainment. The war got intense last week when the remaining farmers began to try and overtake the Kanazumi clan. Currently only two of the farming clans that live here are still alive to the knowledge of the farmers. The Parroe clan, which is the family that 3 of the five men with you belong to, and the Karapeat family, who decided to align themselves with the Kanazumo family long ago. The Parroe clan teamed up with the farmers that remained and hired a few mercenaries, nodachi guy, whose name is Kei, and katana guy, whose name is Jin, are two of the ten mercenaries that sided with the farmers. Bo staff guys name is Ryu, Kunai guy is Zakai, and Kama guy is Kenzo. These three are the Parroe clan members. Their parents, uncles, wives and children are held up in the forest right now. Their brothers are patrolling the village, much like they were. The fires started yesterday. The arsonist is a masked woman in black and blue outfit. They say that she has been jumping around town, literally jumping, and starting fires at random. She has some kind of super jumping jutsu that allows her to jump on air. The Kanazumi clan is held up in the mansion on the other side of town from where you currently are. ------------------------------------------------------  [Attack 1] [12+43=55] Vs kid [Attack 2] [6+38=44] Vs kid [Stealth] [12+45=57] Vs Awareness once you get to the mansion. As they wrap up their speech two children, roughly ages five and eight, come running down the burning streets yelling "Papa! Papa!" Ryu turns to look and says, "My kids, but they're supposed to be in the ..." Before he can finish both kids fall dead. As their bodies fall you can see the kunai sticking out of the back of each childs head and in the distance you see a woman that matches the description of the arsonist. She leaps off in the other direction, toward the mansion.

Shinzu eyed the men, and tended to his wounds as they explained the situation to them. Shinzu clocked out a little as they explained everything, his first real mission as a chuunin was so far a bit of a cluster. Well, at least he wouldn't be judged too hard for the villagers, their little among each other wasn't his primary concern. Then the kids came running their way, and someone matching their target's description killed them. Shinzu looked at the father as he went over to his children, and then to Sakurayuki, it wasn't their mission... But, if this Kanazumi Clan was allowing such brutes to run wild through the city, their mission was going to be expanded. Walking over to Sakurayuki, he put his hand firmly on her shoulder. "I need you to tell them to gather whatever supporters they have, we're taking this clan down." He said to the student-diplomat, knowing they trusted her more.

She had never thought about death seriously before, even though she somehow knew that it would definitely affect her, as her profession pretty much guaranteed it. But to see it happen right in front of her eyes... She suddenly realized that this mission was a lot more dangerous than a simple field trip, and while she tried not to panic, she couldn't help but fear this opponent who wouldn't hesitate to kill even small children like the ones from before. Nevertheless, the fact that they had a mission didn't change, and she tried to look brave as she asked the people to gather, and recruit those who were willing. They needed all the help they could get.Sorry I didn't realize I hadn't erased it. My bad. I added some stuff to my post while I was at it.

After a while the troops amassed and prepared for battle. All but four wielding staffs and farm tools. The others had swords. A few villagers had kunai as well, on loan from their mercenary friends. They formed into a little square formation and awaited the orders of the shinobi. This was a rag tag bunch of men, ranging from ages fourteen to seventy, but it was all that the village had to offer.

Shaken but still aware of her mission, she looked over at the villagers that had gathered. It was a hastily made group of people and she saw people of all ages, but they were determined to protect their home, and she silently looked at each with respect. It would not have been easy to step up and fight against what seemed like an unstoppable force, but for the sake of their family and hometown, they were here to finally put an end to this endless suffering. If only they had all been well prepared.. but she didn't have any weapons to add to the pool, not even the common kunai. Next time she'd definitely be more prepared, even if it meant using her secret techni.... ok, well it was basically begging for money, but at least she wasn't using it for bad things, she rationalized to herself, a bit guiltily. In fact, she'd planned to use that method to go on a dango binge, but now that she had plans for other uses, she needed to think about how to spend it wisely.
But anyways... back to the present. Yuki blinked and looked to Shinzu to see what they should do. After all, he was the team leader and it would be best for an experienced shinobi to take charge. For now though, they needed to know any and all information they could get on the masked woman. Those dratted Kanazumi, making these innocent villagers suffer, she thought as she frowned slightly.
Glancing around, she attempted to find Ryu, the bo-staff guy from earlier, and ask him a few questions. A blueprint of the mansion would be a luxury so she wasn't going to expect anything like that, but maybe there was a servant that could get them in quietly, or at least knew the security works inside. Hell, she could perhaps go in for infiltration dressed as a servant if they got lucky. Okay so her hair color was probably going to be a bright beacon saying "newcomer alert!!!" but that could be modified with other means. Henge was probably a bad idea since they could see right through, but if they could get some dye... Giving up on the search, she turned to one of the nearest villagers and paused to ask a question. "Ano, ji-san, do you know how many servants are in that mansion right now? Can you think of anyone that could help us from the inside? I'd like to try and attempt a rescue mission first, but.." she trailed off, eyeing her team leader at the same time. If they launched an all-attack right now, they needed to at least get the captives out in order to fight properly. If there were more incidents like the one from before, Yuki wasn't so sure she'd be able to endure it, especially in the heat of battle. Frankly, she was scared. Scared shitless, really. And if she was scared, then so must the others, especially those who were being separated from their family. That attack of the children was a simple message; you attempt anything else, and the rest will suffer along with you all. And regardless, they had come here to fight, so she wanted to do something, anything, to help them rest easy.LOL I'm not even gonna try attempting that awareness roll. xD

Shinzu watched as the ragtag group of freedom fighters gathered, and it was a very sad group indeed. Even the most unlikely soldiers could be effective if used correctly, but first Shinzu needed to know what they were facing. Shinzu nodded as Sakurayuki spoke, they would need to get into the mansion, one way or another. "Do any among you know a way into this mansion?" He asked aloud. "Before we do anything, I need to know what we're facing." He looked over them all, if they had lived their whole lives here, then surely at least one of them had been inside this compound in the past. "I only want to know if there's some kind of secret way in, or back door. You do not have to come with us, unless you wish to." He tried to sound as diplomatic as he could, hoping to move past the incident earlier. This wasn't strictly part of their mission, he was sure they'd find their target there.
Awareness: Roll (17) + Aware (15) = 32 Failure

A man stepped forward and began to sketch a rough map onto a piece of paper. Three enterances existed. Two in the rear that were used for deliveries and one large one in the front.
Choose an entryway.
Rear entry: Pantry>Kitchen>Dining Room>Grand Hall
Rear entry: Sitting room>Game Room[animals]>Grand Hall
Front entry: Grand Hall
Whichever you choose you will finds 20 bodies piled up in the Grand Hall aranged to spell out HA HA. Jester is missing along with anything of value within the manor that is smaller than 3ftx2ft.
Ryu will go check out the bodies to survey them, telling. You that every Kanazumi is present save for their youngest son. He will move a body and unless you pass a DC 29 awareness followed by a dc 22 reflex he will die in an explosion as the manison catches fire.
