♬♪♭Lexi looked up at Sean with a sudden jerk of her head, making her wench in pain. Blinking large, owlish teal eyes at her long time friend. Fear creeping into her eyes and face as she watched him lift his hands and walk towards her. "Sean, don't you dare. I swear to you that if you so much and toss me over your shoulder, I will make you so unstable that you'll end up a puddle named Sean on the floor." she said as she slipped from her seat, and started to back away from him. Her angular face, tilting as she looked warily at her friend. If it was one thing Lexi knew about her friend, was that Sean was a man of his word. That if he said it, he would act upon it no matter what,. even if he did regret the choice at that time.
♬♪♭Swallowing visibly as well as audibly, Lexi darted her eyes to the left and right. Taking in her surroundings and options. Her heart was beating a bit fast from a mix of her fear and the sudden adrenaline rush that was coursing through her veins. Giving her a rather heady feeling as she noted that she had more room to make a break for it on his left, her right. But seeing as that was the obvious choice she noted that going to his right, would be a minimum amount of space, meaning she would be caught and also a good viable choice as well. Then noting that her only other option was down the center, and between his legs in a sliding manuever, she flicked her eyes to his, before dashing straight forward, ready to drop and slide between his legs.

Abel blinked once at her with half lidded eyes. Taking a moment to think he could only come up with one known Michael here right now. Returning his gaze to the young girl, he closed his eyes and shook his head twice.
"Sorry kid, but my job is to show you around, and let you know the rules." Abel stared into her eyes, examining them. They had much more focus now, but still seemed erratic to a degree. Taking in a breath and letting it out slowly, he once again closed his eyes. She was going to have enough to get used to without him forcing her around. Great. There was his better judgement again.
"Who's Micheal? Was he with you upstairs? If so he'll be down later." Abel picked up his clipboard and flipped down a few sheets. He spotted the name Michael, and gave it a quick look over. "This him?" He flipped the clipboard in his hand and held it down for the young experiment to see. A simple photo, and quick dossier was on the page.

Her head was still busy with distracting thoughts. She had thoughts that mattered, thoughts that didn't and many thoughts that she didn't even think were hers. She also had many thoughts of particle physics, particularly light and how possibly the eye could possibly detect them. She needed to know more on how the mechanics worked. She had information without the concepts. Her focus was improving though. She always needed to look at 'the whole' and not the parts. It was backwards and illogical, but the only way to understand her world was to not analyze it. It was so hard. She only ever wanted to see the data. Her head always wanting to be busy, busy, busy.
Right now, she could focus on at least the more important of wholes, thanks to the efforts of Red Eye. Thinking about eyeballs could only help her visually. There was so much more information coming in. She needed Michael.
"You haven't done your job." She observed, ever literal. Her eyebrows furrowed in disappointment. He didn't say it directly, so it took her a moment longer, but she knew enough that 'sorry' meant he wasn't going to help her. Her shoulders drooped forward and she let out a sigh. It had been almost an hour since she had seen him last. Just over 3 thousand seconds. That wasn't a lot of time. He had been trying to talk to her before their examinations, and was distressed that she wasn't talking back.
As the man looked over her and continued talking, Cheza let her eyes drift, avoiding looking far down the hall. Upstairs? There were stairs? She looked back over her shoulder at the elevator that she had come through. She realized though that they wouldn't be able to go get Michael anyway. There were no buttons to use the elevator with. If you were down here, you were trapped. No. there was a small bud on the wall. Wide angle camera. If someone wanted to get in, someone on the floor above would have to open it or come down for him or her. She knew that it would ever open for her. She shrugged his question off. It didn't have a point. Michael was Michael, and knowing that would not open the elevator.
She turned her head back as the clipboard was held out to her to see. Michael! He looked somewhat upset, glowering at the camera with his dark grey eyes. It was from a handful of months back. Enough of their generation had changed appearance enough to warrant an update. He was healthier then, although he had beginning to fear he'd die, as a few others at the time had. Cheza felt herself smiling slightly at the memory, happy that he had not.
"He reads to me. It helps the world go away and be quiet." She continued to stare at his picture. She couldn't read very well herself anymore, always ending up memorizing and analyzing the the words instead of the story. Focusing on his voice, though, was great. Books left out all the details and graphs, science and data that made her life a confusing mess. In books, all that existed was the whole. When she filled her head with a story world, she could clean her head of the extra mess, at least for a short while.

Sean Nomikaze, Exerpiment #11
The moment she moved, Sean knew his eyes took on a predatory gleam, though she did open threaten him. Those words caused a small shiver to run down his spine, as he watched her back away warily, while assessing her routes of escape. Knowing her for taking the least likely route, he adjusted the weight to his left, as she started to forward to throw her off. but the moment that she neared him, dropping her weight into a slide. Eyes open wide as she went between his leg, making him stumble forward and land on his knees, still looking at her head of blue-green hair in complete utter shock. Before a slight insane cackle of a laugh escaped from his lips.
Slowly bringing his body to a standing position as he shook his head in amusement, before slowly turning his body to face her. The look in his eyes a bright gleam as the chase was on, already seeing it in her eyes that she was no longer being melancholy.

"Cute." The older experiment replied shortly but still neutrally to the little girl's off handed jab. She was still shell shocked, and he could forgive that, but he had a feeling she was blunt, and that would get on his nerves until she realized just how dangerous he was. Abel wouldn't threaten, he wouldn't intimidate, he wouldn't force. She would learn in her own time just how dangerous he was, and why he was doing the jobs the facility asked him to.
"I'll take that as a yes." Answering his own question when Cheza commented on what the boy in the picture did for her. Removing the clipboard from her view, he looked at the picture himself, and checked the date of release. This child, Michael, would be released either later today or the next. That also meant that the girl was going to be on her own for a few hours at least, a day at most. 'Great another socially inept Mental Type. I swear the choices get more random.' Letting the pages fall back into place on the board, Abel looked back down at the girl.
He couldn't blame her, hell he actually sympathized with her. When first arriving here he only survived by latching onto another subject. Though he could still function without them when separated.
"Well you'll have to wait for him to come down, at least a few hours at best, tomorrow at the most. Now, I need you to follow me so I can show you around. If you can use the technique I..." A sound caught his attention. It was the sudden rustling of clothing and fast moving footsteps. He closed his eyes irritated, and lets out an sigh of annoyance.
"Follow me, and don't fall behind to far. We'll start the tour in a moment." Abel simply turned around and headed toward the cafeteria behind them. He didn't need to hurry, since they were maybe fifteen feet from the only entrance. A few seconds later he rounded the corner and a quick glance told him what he wanted to know. A female second generation experiment, Lexi was moving toward him, and behind her was the same generation male Sean. Planting himself right in Lexi's path, he raised his voice just a bit over calm.
"Thirteen, Eleven, what is going on here?" The question was simple and stated just above normal tone, but the sharpened eyes said more than his voice ever could.

Lexillia 'Lexi' O'Conners Experiment #13
♬♪♭Lexi kept her eyes on Sean, as she slipped between his legs. Her lips in a thin line as she stood up looking at him, amusement and anger flashing in her eyes. Silently telling him to back off, as she turned darting out of the cafeteria doorway, in her attempt to get away. Only to come to a skidding halt, causing her to land on her butt, as she heard a familiar voice sounding, at least to her, irate.
♬♪♭Not bothering to hide the fear that welled up in her eyes, that seemed to be getting wider by the second as her skin lost the faint blush that adrenaline had graced it with. Bottom lip trembling as Lexillia quickly scooted her self backwards away from him. Shaking her head, as she worked her mouth, though nothing came out of it. Eventually lowering her head, drawing her knees up to her chest, and curling up into a little ball.
Sean was amazed at the way she was reacting, Making him grin wider as he turned to continue to give her chase. Only to hiss under his breath at a very familiar but not often heard voice. Taking a step out of the cafeteria, just in time to see Lexi sit on her but hard, before scuttling away from Abel. Rolling his eyes a bit as he came out to stand next to Lexi, resting a hand on her head in a comforting manner.
"Afternoon, Abel. I wish you would use my name at least. But to answer your question, we mean no harm. But I was trying to distract her from the news none of us wants to get. Sorry if we disrupted you on your tour with the facilities." he replied cool-like. His gaze drifting down to the Lexi as she peeked up at him, with a soft but very shy smile. Giving her a return smile, he looked back to Abel meeting the young mans red eyes with his own blue violet ones.
Making sure to place a soft, gentle and very friendly smile on his face as he gave a nod to Cheza, who was behind him. With a dazed and glazed look he knew all to well.

Wait. She'd have to wait. The words stung a bit, but she nodded, nonetheless. She could accept waiting. Even if she hated it. It was not like she could not fend for herself or function without him to balance her. Still, a tight feeling squeezed her small chest like a worry . She knew she was alone here until he came. Also hearing the struggle nearby, She watched the man's careful facade fall for a moment in reaction. Unintentionally he was showing Cheza a juicy morsel of his true self. Suddenly she had a feeling he was alone here as well, though his reasons were surely different.
Her eyes flashed over his face and body language as he turned away from her. The shape of his face wasn't angry, but militant all the same. The people here were not his peers. With a nod, Cheza began to follow behind him, giving him a few paces of space. He didn't lessen her stride for her, but Cheza could plainly see that he was not in any hurry on account of the disturbance. It was a different side to Red Eye, but much more informative than the flat face he had been showing her. He was not 'just' another experiment here. He was different from the others.
He stopped outside of a cavernous room that smelled strongly of several foods that Cheza had to fight not to identify. She kept her eyes from wandering too much because she didn't want to get lost. She wanted to see these other people that weren't his peers. Her head was already telling her that she did not know them or anything about them, just by how she could hear their movements. Looking blank, her eyes tracked until she found the nearest stranger. She was heading their way without looking what direction she was going, but Cheza still got a good measure of her expression and body language. Carefree and victorious for the moment.
Confusingly enough, the Blue haired woman stopped in her tracks and fell over at the sight of Red Eye. Cheza's eyes snapped wider at the illogical-seeming action, slowing down behind him as she walked. Blue Hair was scrambling back away from him with a panicked look on her face. Fear. Cheza's own pulse began to race just looking at her. She felt very suddenly uncomfortable being there, but she lacked the data to see why Red Eye seemed to be a cause of it. He was definitely not their peer though. She could confirm that guess.
Her mind racing and drawing frustrating blanks, she did not notice the other man until he had begun to speak, addressing Red Eye by the name 'Abel'. Her eyes focused dimly on him. His posture was cold as well, and his face was stone while he looked at Abel, but softened some as he looked down at the blue haired girl. They were together, but were they good or bad? Abel seemed unhappy with them, so she didn't know. Cheza's mind buzzed with probabilities, many of which only helped to increase her own stress.
The man's gaze fell on her and she froze midstep, staring pointedly at the wall away from him as he smiled at her. By his expression, he did not have any hostile intentions to her at this time, but. but. She inhaled deeply and then her foot came down and she began walking past the scene, heading pointedly in the direction of the dorms. While Abel was dealing with them, she'd find a soothing place to think about eye balls.

"Don't wander to far." Abel turned his head slightly toward the retreating Cheza, directing this at her. Making sure she knew before he dealt with the other two. Number 8 returned his crimson gaze to Sean, locking eyes briefly before following his arm down to the cowering Lexillia. He stared at her shrunken form for a moment before his eyes closed slowly. It's part of the job. Didn't make thing any less easy for him. The fear was there for a reason, not unfounded by any means, but there for a reason. 13's reaction was probably over-exaggerated, due to her testing today, 11's actions, and his sudden appearance. The girl hated using her powers for their intended purpose, and she always dreaded test days. This wasn't new to him. He was in the know. There was a reason.
Opening his eyes again, they held little mirth, but certainly a less authoritative glare. He decided to ignore the retort he thought for Sean's comment, and just decided to continue on with his day. "I'm simply the deterrent, you both know this. She doesn't need the added stress, eleven; today of all days. Thirteen..." Abel again averted his gaze to her trembling body. "it's pointless to over think it. Just do the tests and return." Simple, strait forward, and short, Abel's MO. No threats, just facts. With that taken care of, Abel turned and headed toward the direction of the dorms.
Another short trip to the first rooms, he found his little charge staring at a blank wall. No doubt collecting herself after the events. She had no doubt experienced his difference to the others, maybe she'd see him as more now.
"Are you focused? Shall we get on with the tour?" He asked, standing next to the entrance to the dorm hallways. He was back to being passive, gone was the moment of annoyance.

xxxxxx"I know more about you than you do..." xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"...because I watch you all the time!"
A quiet hiding spot was not as hard to find as she had imagined. As it turned out, the end of the hall cut itself into a corner. She slid in next to a door that advertised the number one on it's face and cozied herself to the corner wall there. While crouching there, she listened to the noises down the hall and tried to make sense of the confusing emotions replaying in her head. Abel was definitely an outsider and as he had said, part of his job was making sure others knew the rules. He likely enforced them too. So he was like a policeman. That meant he was good. The other two had, though she wasn't sure exactly what, been doing something wrong. They definitely had been quick to stop their actions as soon as he arrived. The were bad then.
She stared at the wall as she thought about these. Somehow, the adrenaline did well to clear her head, and for the moment, she wasn't counting how many scratches existed in the walls around her. She was able to concentrate on the sound of Abel's footsteps approaching, and quickly calculated the exact moment he would appear around the corner. He seemed to spot her nook quickly, and she pressed her cheek against the cool wall as she arched her neck to look up at him. He was really tall. Like a tower. She was around 4 feet tall herself , but crouched as she was, she felt tiny. She remembered suddenly that he had wanted her to follow him. Was that a rule?
"I didn't fall behind, I went ahead." She clarified, her hands shaking with the drain of stress and adrenaline from before. She clenched them into fists and then unclenched them, relaxing herself. After a moment, she shrugged and stood up. She was focused enough, but was she wearing out quickly. She wasn't quite impatient, but after finding out that she was alone here and would be for some time, she really wasn't in the mood to play obedient and just kinda wanted to sit somewhere or do something to distract her from the waiting. She supposed she'd be allowed that after she followed him. It was his job after all, so she doubted she had that choice.

Abel actually cracked a ghost of a smile at the little girl's retort. Once her powers were under any amount of decent control, he was sure she would be quite the smart mouth. The moment passed, and experiment eight decided they should finally get on with the day.
"As appreciated as that is, I would suggest you stick with me for the duration of the tour. It will be short enough, you can trust me on that." There was that little hint of annoyance, the tiny inflection in his voice that accentuated the last sentence. He wasn't referring to the newest member of their dysfunctional group, but toward something else entirely. "Follow me. Since we are here, I'll show you to your assigned room, first." With that Abel turned on his heels, and started down the hallway of doors.
Taking a quick glance at her sheet, he led them silently into the housing area. The doors all had small plate on them, a number written on each. They were simple metallic grey doors, but quite thick and heavy. He walked down the ascending numbers until coming to a diagonal branching hallway. He turned into that hallway, and finally spoke up. "Your room is listed as number fourteen. It'll be the last room at the end of this hall to your left. Behind me is the restroom, which is clearly marked. There isn't much to the rooms, and you may decorate as you see fit, provided you do not tamper with the camera inside. The doors automatically lock the rooms at midnight, and if you are outside you'll have to either wait until the morning, or find either I or a staff to be let in. Each door has a key card system, and your's will be on your bed. I suggest you don't lose it." He turned to the left, and pointed at the door marked 14,when he knew she was watching. Then, he walked up to the closed off door, and looked strait up into the sunk in heavy glass covered black orb just above the door frame. He stared for a second at the camera, and then the door unsealed. Abel pushed it open, and motioned for Cheza to enter the spartan room.
"We are observed twenty four seven, and any tampering with the observation mechanisms will warrant swift action. As I am the enforcer of the facility down here, that means I shall be the one to retrieve you for disciplinary actions. Besides that, you are allowed to live as you choose. Any quarrels or actions taken against fellow experiments is to be brought to me or facility staff. I suggest you do not start anything you don't want me to finish." Abel basically spoke in a monotonous and rehearsed voice. He even looked a little bored, behind his mask of neutrality. Standing inside the door frame, he waited for the young girl to retrieve her keycard, and have a look around her new living quarters
"If you are troubled by others here, and the facility hasn't deemed the other's actions as problematic, find me. My room is number seventeen, at the end of the original hall. I am either there, the lounge, or the gym, all of which you will be shown today. Any questions so far?" Abel was making sure he kept a keen eye on number 21. As much information as he was stating, she may have gone into another thought lock, and that was the last thing he needed right now.

Lexillia 'Lexi' O'Conners Experiment #13
♬♪♭At Abel's words, Lexi only burrowed her head further between her knees and chest. Her ears catching the sound of his exceedingly quite footsteps as he made his way past Sean and herself. The vibrations coming through the floor, traveled up her body registering deep in her sub-conscious. Her mind racing in a hundred different ways, as she took a few deep breaths. Lexi knew that when she had looked at him, there was fear in her gaze, she could feel the endorphins that had been released into her blood, making her heart beat almost double it's rate, via the subtle vibrations that her body radiated. But that fear in her eyes wasn't because she was scared of Abel, no in fact she had come to terms almost four years ago that he wasn't such a bad person. He just played his role very very well, and she at first had respected him for that, as well as the enigmatic puzzle he present her.
♬♪♭Letting out small sigh as she let her mind slowly collect it's self, She felt more heat rush up her neck to her ears. Over the whole time her and the rest of their group had been released, she had come out of her timid shell, shedding the traumatized child, turning into the young woman she was now. One who was still very shy, but more open and allowed others to touch her, but only with her consent. Once more another small sigh escaped her lips, as her mind turned back to Abel, only to make her have more heat flood her system as blood rushed to her face. SHaking her head a few times as if trying to dispel where her mind wanted to go, a silly fantasy a normal girl would be able to have, but no not her. After a few more minutes, Lexillia relaxed enough that her arms loosened around her knees, so that they dropped, allowing her forehead to rest upon them allowing her hair to fall down around her neck, hanging over her chest.
♬♪♭"Hey Sean, I am a complete and utter idiot aren't I? I can nearly control my reactions towards everyone, but him... I am a total idiot.. Serves me right." she whispered just loud enough for her friend and self-adopted brother to hear her. While tilting her head to the right, to peek up at him, while still resting her head on her knees.

" For the record, I think you cheated at that poker game. I know I suck, but still.. I think you Cheated. xp
Sean just nodded his head at Abel, as his violet gaze just watched him step around them, to follow after the new girl. Of which he noted had eyes that were slightly glazed and unfocused, giving him a slight clue that she might be a mental type. Raising up his right hand and running it through his hand as he let his gaze drop to Lexi, after Abel was out of hearing range. Silently watching with a very pained look on his face, at her actions. Hating that she was withdrawing into her own little world, while sorting out her own thoughts and feelings. Sean felt his lips purse into a thin line, before they turned down into a frown, silently counting in his head. Trying to keep from what he felt, bubbling to the top and making this situation more frustrating then it had to be.
So when she finally spoke, he hissed rather loudly, as his eyes met hers. Noting that she was flushed a nice dark red, that only emphasized the unnatural color of her eyes and hair. Making him suck in a breath of air, as the thought 'damn she is too cute' flashed across his mind, before the phrase 'and so vulnerably niave, followed right after. Shaking his head as he let his normal nonchalant grin curve his lips, before speaking in a carefree, teasing manner, "No, no your not. Just a normal girl in a not-so-normal situationn Lexillia. Besides, if I recall, you are turning the shade of your favorite color... So....I wonder if it would be full body if you got physically close.. Or maybe you'd turn purple and look like a blueberry's insides."
Once he finished speaking, Sean quickly took his hand on her, stepping quickly away to avoid her reaction. While the grin on his lips turning into a full blown smile, knowing he just set off a land mine of epic proportions, since she had been honest while confiding in him about what really went on in that slightly deranged female mind of hers.
