The Story:
Quote:
It was dark. The stars watched over the world wondering where Sun had gone, for this was the first night. “Where is Sun?” cried North Star. “Where is the light we have known for so long?”

“She is dead!” Cried Moon, dropping tears into the sky, creating shooting stars. “She fell beyond the earth and has died.”

The stars all cried out, some dying in turn as they burst full of emotion. The Great Serpent Milky Way that circled the earth, the only one that could see beyond the edges of the Earth and knew that the sun was only hiding from the moon and stars, spoke. “Yes the sun is dead.” He affirmed and the others screamed and cried. “But,” he called out, “we must be patient. For the sun will yet return.”

“But how?” Cried Moon. “She is dead.” He cried again. “That which is dead can not return.”

The Great Serpent Milky Way smiled. “You will see.” The stars began to get hope and stopped bursting but Moon continued to cry, still dropping bits of him into the sky.

Sun, who heard the Great Serpent and Moon talking, choose to cut her game short and soared back into view. But Sun is mischievous and wise. She knew that Earth needed time in the dark and she must hide. So she told Moon, North Star and all the others, “each night, when I go to sleep, I die. And the next morning, when I wake up, I am reborn.”

Moon, North Star, and the others stared for here was Sun reborn. Then Sun saw the state of Moon. “Oh, my dear! What have you done?”

“I cried pieces of myself for you.” Moon explained, and Sun felt guilt. She admonished Moon to never do that again. But Moon refused saying he would weep for Sun every night, but allowed that some nights he would weep less than others so as to not lose himself completely.

Sun accepted this gracefully for she understood the emotions of Moon. And then the stars said that they would sometimes die for her. And she wept herself, sending shooting lights into the ground creating fires where they fell. And Sun said she would weep for the stars when they died for her.

And so Night and Day were created in the death and rebirth of Sun. Sun who is cunning and cruel, but kind and life giving. Sun who was the beginning and will be the end of Earth.

Comments: I realize I am not the best artist, but I hope the idea gets across. Where the colors change are supposed to be gradual instead of the abruptness that I drew. The Kalona blood was chosen for the cunning and cruel aspects of Sun, while the Angeni and Unicorn bloods were for the loving and life giving aspects.

Name of Soquili: Lamella
Temper: Introverted

The Story:
Quote:
She stares from the dark..in the dank. Watching you. Faint specks of dancing luminescence drift around her, sparking in the gloom. A scent clings to her..moist and mould..she watches, not wanting to come out until you have left. For she is changed and fears you will not look kindly on her appearance.

The mare had dragged her blistered, and cracked body from the smouldering forest, croaking feebly as she had done so. Everything was raw, everything hurt, and all trace of any distinguising features that she had had before being caught and burned by the engulfing flames had been erased. Her mane was gone, fried down to the roots. Her tail likewise and even her eyebrows and eyelashes has turned to ash.

Every step had been agony, every hoof fall sending shooting pains from exposed nerves. She had no idea of direction and had simply stumbled onwards, looking for somewhere to lay down. Somewhere to die. Time passed, she hadn't know how much, it felt like an eternity, but had maybe only been an hour or two and her surroundings had changed. Trees and grass had given way to mud, mulch and expanses of moss that were peppered with fungi of all shapes and sizes.

The cool squelching underhoof was almost heavenly and when what little energy and strength she had left finally gave way to her collapsing in the mud, it oozed around her body as she sank into it, her eyes registering that she seemed to be laying in the middle of a ring of tiny, bright white mushrooms. They had seemed to glowing, like stars in the ground, but she was never sure as that was when she passed out.

Time passed once more. A day. A night. Maybe more. Eventually she regained consciousness, slowly moving, the memory of recent events coming in tattered fragments. She should have been in an extreme amount of pain, that she remembered, but she wasn't. Moving was difficult though, and she had soon realised why, the mud had formed a seal over her body, a strange thin seal of brown and green that cracked as she exerted greater force and finally got to her hooves.

With a parched tongue and a dry throat she gone in search of water, clear water, not the murky puddles that she was splashing through. Whilst she searched, she had felt the dried mud that still clung to her falling away the further she went, powdery clumps dropping in her wake. Finally she had managed to locate a clear enough body of water to drink from. But when she went to drink her appearance had startled her enough to cause her freeze in mid-action.

She was gone. The mare she could just remember was completely different, and in its place was this startling new visage. Her body had been permanently marked by the fire, and this was shocking enough - but it was her hair and tail that were most different. Both seemed to consist of an almost plant-like substance that floated around, and twisted around her head and hind legs at the slightest breeze. Beyond that she also seemed to have sprouted a variety of fungi, as though she were a fallen tree trunk. A tug - painful tug - at one of the mushrooms on her legs had confirmed that they were part of her, and faint dust scattered when she tried to do so as the 'shrooms shed spores into the air.

She had cried at first, dry heaving sobs for all that she had lost. Including her name, for that was one of the many details of her old life that she could not recollect. She mourned. She grieved. And then one day she stopped. She knew that this was her life now. It was strange. It was scary, the thought of not knowing what really had happened to her whilst she had been unconsciousness in the swamp. And she worried that others would think her frightening or freaky. But she lived. She felt sure she should have died.

And she had not.

She could live her life. In the dank. In the dark.

Name of Soquili:  Trianna de Flamme
Temper:  free spirited

The Story

Quote:
Passion, determination, and a fierce desire to live.
These emotions drew the angeni deeper into the lands that were engulfed by the fires. There were still creatures in the flames that were alive, and fighting to survive and get out, get free. And it was his calling to at least try and save as many as he could. But his strength was flagging, and he knew he was not long for this world. Neither was the soquili he sensed.

If only one of them were to make it out, to survive, it was the other. That was his wish. And he would do whatever he could to ensure that it came true....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trianna had been out trying to gather what little food could be found in the area to bring back to her family. The drought and heat and lack of food had meant they were all weakening, becoming ill, and the babies were nearing death. If those who were strong enough to range out and search for sustenance came back empty-hooved than several, if not all of them would die. If it were on her, she would not allow that to happen. So she was traveling further and further from the place she called home to bring back enough for them all to survive, for a little longer anyway. The drought couldn't last forever. They just needed to survive until the rains came...
It was for this reason she had wandered near to the two-leggers village, desperate enough to take food from others. It was a question of survival. And she, and the rest of her family needed to survive just as much, if not more than they did. They were pure spirits who had done no wrong, They did not hurt others, unless in self defense or defense of others. They only took as much as they needed to survive, and often shared that with any who had need.
Then the fires came. And it seemed that no matter what way she went, the flames followed, and she couldn't find a way out. She was trapped. And there was no way out. How would her family survive now?
There had to be some way out, she had to get the food to her family, she couldn't die. Not here not now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He literally stumbled upon her just as he started to succumb to the smoke. The tiny female was obviously in pain, struggling to stay on her hooves determination the only thing keeping her upright.

He would help her. With all the power he had left she would survive.

'You have passed through the flame. All your impurities have been stripped away. You are now perfect. You will survive.'

And with the last of his magic and strength he made sure that she could make it out of there alive. Though with unintentional consequences.

The once flutter'suti was now also part angeni, a part of him would also live on.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She woke up.
Free from the fire. Free from the pain. And the food she had gathered was right there with her.
She had survived. And now, her family could too.
Name of Soquili: Radiance
Temper: gleaming
The Story:
Quote:
Radiance's story started well before she was born. It started with her mother; a plain, but good hearted, unicorn mare named Kawoni. Kawoni was an apt healer, but ever since she was a filly, she was very frail in body. She was small boned, and seemed always short of breath. She wasn't strong at all, seeming to barely carry her own weight. However, Kawoni never let her physical imperfections stand in the way of being a renowned healer. Not only did her hone her natural unicorn healing abilities, she was also learned in herbs and other healing medicine. She was known throughout the Kawani lands, and never did she demand payment or repentance for any of her healings. She was quiet, meek, and kind; and one would be hard pressed to find anyone who could say a negative thing about her.
However, she was physically easy to overcome; which made her an easy target to those with ill-will. Though usually her wit and genuine smile could get her out of a most scrapes; it was one particularly cold, dry, and harsh winter she found herself heavy with foal. She wouldn't speak of the circumstances on how it came to be. Was it violence? Was it passion? Was it coercion? She wouldn't speak of it.
Despite whatever circumstances that lead to her big belly; she was in love with her unborn child from the moment she knew she was going to give birth. Her small weak body, barely able to take care of herself, caused concern for Kawoni's healer contemporaries, but she never once showed any worry. She found a deep cave to have her basket. As her body recovered, she soon grew wary of rumors she was hearing about a great fire sweeping the land.
There would be Soquili in peril. Soquili that needed her healing touch. Confident her basket would safe until her return, Kawoni prayed over her basket; asking the Spirits to watch over her child, and grant her body the strength to help as many as she could.
For reasons still unknown, Kawoni never returned. Without a mother to keep it warm, the basket grew cold...
No one could have prepared for the scope of the fire. The way it tore through the lands; how engulfing it would be. Surely, had the basket been nestled in some thicket somewhere it would have burned up like the land. But instead, nested between the stones of a cave, the fire began to warm the rocks. Sheltered from the deadly flames and suffocating smoke, the basket grew warm from the residual blaze outside, and despite all odds - after the fires were over, Radiance emerged.
Radiance was everything her mother was, and more. Not only did she posses the generous and nurturing soul of her mother, she had the physicality to match. Her goodness radiated through her soul - seeming to glow from the outside. She was tall, and strong, and could fly on powerful wings. Radiance never knew her mother, but she took up her mantle.... knowing innately what her mother would want her be; just as good of a mare as she was. Now, Radiance travels throughout the land, like her mother, helping anyone in need. She will offer food, healing, guidance, warmth, wisdom... whatever to anyone who asks. She is a stunning, glowing mare; with wild flame-like hair and a fiery horn.
She views herself as a glowing, burning light in the darkness. Her soul, a flame of hope even when all seems lost. And she will never stop looking for her mother, believing in her heart she's out there somewhere; lost in the darkness, and waiting for her daughter to bring her home.
I love these contests - thanks for opportunity!
Hair hair is supposed to be a bit wild - mimicking flame (but isn't made of flame, just unruly natural curls), except where its braided back to keep it out of her face. Her tail is also braided/bundled to keep it from dragging on the ground.
Her wings can be either Angeni style 2 (top set only), or eagle wings
Her horn and wings have small flames nipping off them - I figured this counted as a "small" mutation but if those are a problem they can be ignored
The stallion grew up thinking that he knew about potions.He often talked to himself and even became a little insane because others weren't very fond of his way of working and speaking to himself.Even though speaking to yourself was normal.It was almost like he was speaking to another friend,calling it a him and his.He wasn't speaking about himself,he was almost making a second character for himself.
But one day the others he had made a small herd with came to him,said he had a problem.If he didn't change then he wouldn't be allowed in the herd anymore,no matter how much they needed a healer.He was a freak.Even though Allicar looked perfectly normal. They treated him as if he was a mutated monster. But all he had was a little bit of a problem in the head.
Allicar wasn't very happy about it,he destroyed all of his bottles and cases in anger.Why did they hate him so much? He was just another being with issues,but everyone had issues? Didn't they?
He set off in a journey to figure out if there was any way for someone to help him,'Heal' him of his problem. Grow him into a more 'normal' being around others.Also teach him the way of healing,though he was only just a minor healer.Allicar only healed minor cuts and scrapes,he wasn't used to all of the advanced healing.Along with potions and mixtures,he also wanted to know the use of his horn. Since he was part unicorn. Growing up not knowing how to do anything,not being able to take care of himself.A stranger took him under their care.But the soquili was rather insane and taught Allicar bad things that a little colt shouldn't know or understand. The soquilis insanity and hatred for others corrupted Allicar's mind and started his other character that he spoke to.
Only if he could find someone to help him heal,rebirth his soul.Make him a new Allicar. The new and improved,Allicar.
Name of Soquili: Vonethil
Means ice-wing
Temper: Chivalrous
The Story:
Quote:
Vonethil's wings quivered on his back as he swallowed the shame of his declaration, hoping beyond hope he had chosen the right path.
Just days ago, he had stood proudly as a knight in the kingdom of the dragonfly flutters. He was no royal. He did not bear the unicorn's horn, and his flutter wings were not even the signature dragonfly stle of the nobility. But he had proved himself as a young stallion. He was noble, he was honorable, and he had dedicated his heart to the chivalric code. He fought where the weak could not. And even with his flutter blood, he grew to be a stalwart, strong stallion, thick of build and paragon of the knighthood, an idol of young, aspiring stallions. Even with his mixed heritage, he was revered by the royals and earned his place, over the years, as a trusted, decorated, knight of the realm.
He never questioned his duty, never questioned the decisions of the royals.
But then came the fires. Scouts began to bring word to the kingdom of the devastation that the flames were bringing. They told of smoke that blocked out the sun, of whole villages and soquili chased from their homes.
Counsils were called. Sages gathered and scouts and masters of geography. And Vonethil stood guard while words flew around him like whizzing arrows. Words not meant for his ears, but for the king and council.
The arms of the river which the kingdom nestled within - it would protect the kingdom. The winds that the scouts knew like their own sons and daughters would carry the fires around them. They would not be touched. Some members of the coucil proposed opening the gates of their isolated, hidden kingdom to refugees who would need protection from the blazes, or whose homes had been stolen from them. Others proposed, wary of revealing their location, heading out into the world, letting those with unicorn blood help heal where they could. But all the suggestiosn were silenced with the old king staped his hoof heavily as his decision was made. The spirits had chosen, he said. Chosen to protect the kingdom and let it remain safe and hidden. And so they would do nothing, wait for the fires to pass.
As Vonethil heard the declaration, it felt as if someone had taken his stomach and squeezed it. All those soquili... all those stallions and mares and foals in need of help. These were not their enemies... The kingdom may not have had the power to stop the fires, but they could help the people, but they... chose not to.
It was not his place to speak, but Vonethil could not stay silent. He stode forward and begged the king himself to have mercy, to lend aid. But the old stallion's eyes flashed in ire as the king's man dared raise his voice in the council. He did not even deign the knight a response.
The council was dismissed, and Vonethil began to head to his post, but with each hoofstep his heart seemed to sink lower and lower until it felt like it was in his hooves. He had said the words and sworn to uphold the tenants of knighthood. By ignoring the plight of the people, how could he call himself a knight? But if he went against the words of the king, he would be branded a traitor.
He looked out over the glistening river, and the vague smoke clouds in the distance. And the sunlight glistened off of his ice-colored scales, and Vonethil felt as if the spirits themselves were guiding his decision. He was named for the icy color of his scales. Perhaps battling fires was something he was meant to do. He could be there to soothe the burns with his icy presence. He may not have the healing powers that those nobles with the spirialed horns possessed... but he could not stand aside and do nothing. There were people out there that he could help.
He turned from his post, leaving behind the banner that bore the honors he had been granted. He may never be able to return to the kingdom... but perhaps there was more a place for him out there beyond the borders of the kingdom than sequestered within.
He spread his wings and set out into the world, a knight errant, and determined to make this new life count.
Rivèous frolicked upon the bushes, his critter in tow. He glanced up at the moon and grinned. This is what he loved, the nature, the simplicity, the calming of the wind, he loved the earth. The wind flickered through his hair, his flowers clinging on. He was in search of some friends, he knew he didn't need them, but he wanted to explore. He wasn't sick of being alone, heck, he could live his life with his critter and be satisfied forever. But he was excited to find something different, something intriguing.
Prancing around, picking flowers, Rivèous picks up his bunny and trots through the field. "Who will we meet, Coco?" He grinned. Nothing he could encounter would scare him, not even a skinwalker. He believed that everyone had a soft side, even it was incredibly deep down. Rivèous didn't ever have friends, they usually would find his quirkiness rather weird, and was always judging him for wearing his flowers. None of that bothered him though, he knew who he was, who he wanted to meet, and who he wanted to become. "I'll always be myself, my name is Rivèous."
Name of Soquili: Anton
Temper: cautious
The Story:
Quote:
Have you heard of the red mare who wanders the land? Well, let me tell you her tale as I have known it as, shall I? Good. Take a seat now, whether you're young, old, male, female. Just sit down and relax already.
It all started with the cries of the hawk swooping in the skies above. The red stallion whickered as his mate, the large black mare screamed for the last time, with a little sac left behind in her memory. That was the last moment of the black mare, and her name is not yet known. I tend to call her Sultana though, named after the beast, but princess hidden inside of her.
Watching the filly grow up was really interesting. She had the haunting, but beautiful eyes of her mother, and looked rather exotic too. She would never test the limitations of the ravenous wings that would always remain by her side. Why? Simply because her father did not obtain the curse of possessing wings himself. He was a fire 'suti, and Sultana was a hippolona. It is a good thing that Anton, oh who is Anton? That is the name of the mare we are talking about.
Anyways, Anton was a kind hearted mare, thought she would never have the courage to approach the village. There was once a time where a large black mare entered the village, and Anton was clearly interested, having a feeling that she knew this soquili. No, it was not a hippolona, but just a hippogryph. The two bonded quite easily, and I believe that the hippogryph was Sultana's rebirth. You know, there is word that sometimes the spirits praise a soquili so much that they will have a second chance in life.
I watched as Anton grew, with both her father and the mare. Though her father did not approve much of the mare, Anton eventually took her first flight. Growth. Unfortunately, Anton and the mare disappeared, and the stallion was rather desperate for his daughter to return. Faithful, he stood ground at the hour of his daughter's departure every day at the spot where she was born. Two years have passed, and he is still continuing that ritual.
After the two year duration, Anton returned, but as a different mare. Change. I can tell that she has seen alot, and been through more than I can imagine. Those striking eyes of hers? They are now blinded by a cloth. What a shame. I sometimes wish that she grew the courage to approach us though.
She now possesses a golden watch that she proudly carries. I too wonder the purpose of the watch. Who knows? Oh, here she comes now! Silence everyone, and please do not scare her off.
The Lovely Mare:
User Image
Comments: she's a hippolona'suti, if that's fine.c:
The background of the blindfold and watch is that she learned the past of her kind, of how the kalona was at war and how the fire 'sutis were able to possess a trait that others were not able to. With this, she tried to learn her father's powers, but met a skinwalker who scarred her eyes, but later found hope in life again by listening to the ticking of a watch she found, reminding her about the innocence of her fillyhood with her father, thus returning back to her homeland.
Jaydence had enough. He stomped his hoof as his sister, Laylani told another lie.
"I know you had a fling with that other stallion! Stop lying to him and face the truth!!" he cried at her.
Laylani blinked, "Silence...younger brother."
Jaydence flinched, now he done it. It was just the two of them. She his elder sister and leader of their herd, decorated in jewels and feathers to show her status. He, the heir should his sister keep to not having offspring, decorated in mere jewels. He let out his held breath when she turned her back to him. He looked back up as she flicked her mane over her shoulder, "Dear brother, he's going out hunting. Go with him."
Jaydence blinked...he wasn't a hunter...what was? He saw her dead gaze as she turned to face him. He shivered, she had inherited their flutter mothers dark magic all right....he nodded before turning to trot off. Once out of her sight he sighed, "She's going to set us up for death...oh man...Gentle heart my flanks...she's got the soul of a Kalona."
He sighed as he got himself ready. For death he knew better, after all...his sister and he had the same tastes.
They both fell in love with a Kalona.
The Story:
Quote:
It was a cold winter night with the wind blowing from the north and by now everything had been covered in snow and ice, You could hardly see any trace of grass and where ever water would of been was now ice. It was on this night that Almara was out trying to keep warm and her brownish coat stood out amongst all the white, she had but a few sticks on hand and she would light them up as a way to try to keep warm. However it was to no use the sticks could only offer so much and by now she was starting to lose hope of finding that nice warm heat that these little sticks could ever offer. The sound of a voice slowly drifted to her ears and when she heard it her ears twitched in excitement, she looked around every which way and alas saw no one,that's when she noticed her flame had died out once again and once more she lit another stick. This time the night went from trying to stay warm to something magical and to that of something that would change her fate. The moment she lit the next stick the flame came to life, it had eyes and a mouth and it was looking right at her and Alamra not knowing what to do for she had been caught off guard, threw the stick into the snow and watched as it died out. It wasn't until she remembered that it was cold and windy out that she lit another one and just like the last one, this one to had eyes and mouth. The flame once again looked at her and before she could throw this on into the snow the flame began to speak.
"Wait!" ,it some what yelled and continued to add in a much softer tone, "Don't put me out, I'm not hear to hurt you,I'm here to help you so long as you are willing to listen" ,with that it looked at her and waited on her answer.
Alamra just stared at it not sure what to make of it and what it could possibly do to help her, she was cold and out in a middle of a pasture where the wind and snow could easily reach her. When she finally got up enough courage she opened her mouth and began to ask her question.
"wha...what could a little flame like you do to help me out in this cold, it doesn't seem like much can be done, for it is cold and there is snow every where and hardly any place to hide"
The flame contemplated this and before it and she knew it, the wind had blown the tiny flame out, as fast as she could Almara lit another stick and as she was doing so she glanced over to see how many of the tiny sticks were left and counted only two. She had only two tiny sticks left and the one that was currently lit. With a sigh of relief the flame was back and within that short amount of time it was able to figure out what she meant and was ready to answer her once more.
" I may be small, but I can help you and that is if you are willing. It doesn't matter if it is cold out or if there is snow every which way you look, it all comes down to are you willing to be accepting of a small little flames help. Will you let me help you out of this cold or will you deny me and forever stay here frozen to this earth."
With all that said the flame looked at her once more with its fiery orange yellow eyes and waited for her to answer, what she said next would determine her fate. Almara took in all it said even if it was hard to hear a bit due to the wind, she made a habit of listening as best she could and when it finished she sat there and thought about what it could do to help and what will happen if she said no. When she came to her decision she noticed it once again had been blown out and reaching for the remaining two sticks, she took them both and lit them both at the same time, this time making sure the flame would not blow out as fast as it had done so minutes ago.
" I, Almara will take your help and will accept it, I am willing to understand that I do need it and while I am stubborn and unwilling to take help from something as strange as you. I will... this one time ignore the fact you are, but a tiny flame that could some how help me"
With that said she looked over to the flame and noticed it had once again disappeared. She was now losing even more hope and thought all was lost, until she noticed a small light by her feet and watched as it got bigger and bigger and soon engulfing her in such a brilliant fire like light that she no longer felt the cold or the wind blowing at her, the light got so bright that she eventually had to close her eyes. When she noticed the light receding, Alamara opened her eyes and what she saw made her a bit discouraged, she was in the same pasture as before with the wind and the snow. However she felt warm like she had when the light was around her and she still could not feel a cold wind or the cold snow at her feet. When she looked down she noticed that the snow had melted away from her and she was standing on solid ground with green grass at her feet. She was so amazed that she wandered what else had changed and so she went in search of some ice, when she found some ice she looked upon her reflection taking in that her coat had oranges,reds and yellows like the little flame and her hair was now much brighter and longer and she had a arm band and a necklace that the little flame had left her.
As she stood there and looked at her new self she heard but a faint whisper, " You have been reborn and with that you are no longer the same mare as you once were". With that the whisper faided away and it was then she knew it was the tiny little flames last words to her as she was off to start her new life
Comments: so I got the idea of my story from the little match girl,however I tried to make sure most of it was thought up by me.
As for my design, I originally had wings in mind,but then my muse decided she would be normal, just with long fire colored hair and tail as well as some simple accessories
The Story:
Quote:
-Rakurai has had a hard time since he was very little when it came to growth. He had grown taller then his friends and wonders what was wrong with himself. But as he got older and started to travel the world he met so many others that were smaller and even a few taller then himself. Thinking that he had known all about growth. He was wrong. He still didn't understand a thing about it. His thoughts on growth were one's height and weight. Though there is more to growth and many different ways that one could grow even if they wouldn't get taller.
Growth of the mind. Growth of the heart. Things like that. He didn't know about them until now. Fully grown he thought he was. But he couldn't be further from the truth. His heart hasn't grown to the point to know what true love is. His mind doesn't understand all. How could he call it grown either. Sighing as he travels the world to gain the understanding of what he doesn't know. Maybe one day he would. But for now he would have to find his own understandings of what he sees and learn to grow much more then his height and weight.
Once in a small village he picked up a cloth that draped over him with Lanterns hooked onto it so that he could be a guide to those in the thick fog that this village was in. He learned that guiding others wasn't as easy as he thought. He would guide Kawani and Soquili alike. He would listen to them talk about their travels and all that they learned. Learning that guiding is more then leading someone to and from somewhere. It is listening to them. Giving them advice on the things you yourself has learned. There is more then just showing the way to one on this job. He loved it. It has taught him more then he thought it would.
Rakurai had grown and helped others with their growth to the point that he was given gifts like flowers and bells. Even a Neck piece to help keep his draped cloth and Lanterns from falling off of his back. Being so grateful for the gifts as it made him try to work harder and become even more of a help to those he guided from place to place in foggy areas. Even after he left that fog village and headed else where. The growth that over took him in the fog village was one that made him understand the joy of helping others. A Growth in which he will hold dear to his heart.
Though not understanding just let that holding something dear to one's heart is also growth of the heart. But he will learn that later on in life. In more of his travels that are soon to come. After all the growth of the mind and the heart are things that are never maxed out and have no real limit as long as you put your all into it. Then nothing is fully impossible. -
