"I am alright, just a bit shocked." The tiny girl sat up and waved her hands to show she was okay despite of the blunt pain. Shu smiled to Jordan, "Hehe, it went a bit wild and I think I am too clumsy to have dodged it." It was rather embarrassed to be hurt by her own weapon, she could feel her temperature raised up a little. Then, she felt something warm showered onto her and was replenished. She should be exhausted after all the running, wielding and the crazy spinning, but she wasn't. The girl beamed to the two, dusting her butt and stood up. "Thanks a lot, Jordan senpai and - Ferros!" She lowered her head while asking if they can continue. "Do you need a rest or shall we go on?" < I won't say thank you, they did it without asking. > Tsundere Z is tsundere.

"That happens sometimes. I know several other hunters who have charges that can backfire like that." Jordan moved back so Shu could stand up, nodding to her. "We're good to keep going. I'm going to come at you in a moment, show you how we work. Are you ready for that?" HP: 47/60 not attacking

She didn't know charge can backfire, or better say she never get a chance to hold a weapon. She was the armless one and the one who always got hurt. But - if she was given another chance, she would like to be able to protect those she loved..... "I-I am ready....P-please go ahead!" She nodded with without much confidence. Hands grabbing Z as tight as she can, in a preparation position. She learned some attack skills, now it's time for defense skills. < Oh ghoul, you get sweaty hands~ > Her partner was mocking leisurely at her nervousness. HP: 40/ 40 Defending for: 4

Jordan held back until Shu had braced herself. She looked both nervous and determined, and he smiled a little in response. He took one step backwards, swinging Ferros back in a low, sweeping sideways path, then moved forward in a swift, low lunge, bringing Ferros forward and around as he did and adding his own energy and weight to the hammer's arc. He'd aimed precisely so that Ferros would hit Z's head, not striking at Shu's body. They could demonstrate without the exercise being too painful. HP: 47/60 Dmg: 6 Charge: 1/3

It was all of a sudden, she couldn't think of anything but raised Z up to ward off, the power was too strong to bear that she fell back and stumbled a few steps. Wheeeeew~ Shu felt like she just had a heart attack, her heart was irregularly thumping, and - The tiny girl made a bow at Jordan, "Sorry, I closed my eyes again. Please give me another chance.....". She was scared, who would tolerate a stupid girl like her? Her voice of request was tailed off. Her head lowered down. < 喂。 > Z felt something wrong, an uneasy emotion was passed onto him. HP: 38/ 40 Defending for: 6

"Of course. You okay?" Jordan paused to study Shu, concerned. "Watch my shoulders and the set of my feet," he instructed. "The way I move will help you tell when I'm about to come at you. Ferros is heavy, even though I don't feel most of that weight, so I have to brace my feet and use my shoulders, back, and torso to get him moving. It's not just in the arms and shoulders. I use my whole body; he's an extension of me, or I'm an extension of him. When we're fighting, we're not hunter and weapon separately. We're two halves of a whole working together, equally important."
He waited until Shu had braced herself again, then brought Ferros around in a low arc, slower this time, letting her watch the way his stance and his muscles telegraphed the motions he was about to make. Again, he kept his aim carefully limited, striking Z instead of Shu.

Jordan's reply lightened up her heart. He's so nice, just so nice. Shu suppressed the urge to hug the nice guy, which is also a bad habit of her. "Thank you so much, I am alright!" She nodded and then shook her head. Jordan was a good teacher, a patient and helpful one. The girl stared at his body and movement like a kitten saw a prey as she was told. After listening to his instructions, Shu held Z up a little bit, looked at him while thinking what Jordan said. Z is not my tool to fight, he is part of me. The moment lasted for quite a while until Z called. < Hey silly ghoul, don't scare me! > Sorry, Z. Shu gave Jordan a nod, holding the pink hammer tightly. Her eyes carefully followed how Ferros was swinging under his movement, which of his foot stepped forward, how his shoulder drove his arm forward so that Ferros hit Z. The picture was much clearer. She would like to observe more. < It ******** hurts! > There was a complaint. HP: 38/ 40 Defending for: 4

"See, when you have something to focus on, it makes it easier not to close your eyes." Jordan smiled at Shu. "When someone's attacking you, don't think about you. Let Z help show you what to do. He knows how he wants to be used. Listen to him." When he stepped in to swing again, it was even slower, barely more than a tap, though it was still enough to make Ferros's runes light up in a steady red glow. "He should be charged again. You can use that if you want to, or you can choose not to. If you ask him to hold it back instead of using it, he can hang onto the charge. He might not be happy about it, though." HP: 47/60 Dmg: 2 Charge: 3/3

Jordan was such a good teacher, "Um um!" She nodded and made a sound of approval. She didn't even have time to scare, what a good method. Shu looked at Jordan with eyes of admiration. < That guy is right, you just need to obey me. > The petite girl flinched at Ferros's tap in a reflex action, like a kitten with its nose being poked gently. What do you think, Z?< Of course use it! I want to take revenge. > "Z said he wanted to - er- use the charge. > She would not transfer the whole thing to Jordan senpai, it was so rude. She spun like a whipping top with cartoon swirl eye effect, too dizzy to locate anything before she threw the chain out. The spinning enhanced the acceleration of the ball which magically aimed at Ferros and hit. Z......can't we use another way? I feel so dizzy @A@;;; < No way. It is so ******** awesome in my opinion. Jordan braced himself for the impact, but it hit even harder this time, knocking him off balance and making him skid back several feet. Once he regained his footing, though, he discovered that Shu had once again been knocked down by the backlash of Z's charge. He moved to help her up, frowning thoughtfully. "You'll need to work with him and figure out a way to keep that from flattening you every time," he suggested. "You've got a good strong charge, no doubt about that, but it could be dangerous to get knocked down like that in a real battle." He studied her for a moment. "How's your shield doing? Ask Z how much you've got left. Learning to sense about how much strength your shield has is an important skill." Once she was back on her feet, he nodded to her. "Make time for practice daily, if you can, or as often as you can if you can't practice every day. You're not in Sun, so you won't be expected to be in top shape all the time, but you never know when you're going to need to be ready to fight. It's good to be prepared and to have a feeling for how you and Z work together." He swung Ferros up across his shoulder again and patted the hammer's haft. "Ferros has a charge and he wants to use it, but we're not using this on you. Do you mind if we take a minute and go break a training dummy?" He tipped his head to indicate the row of training dummies that stood mutely along one side of the field. HP: 29/60 Charge: 3/3

Still feeling the space rotating, the girl pressed against her head slowly sat up, just like the anime effect of little birds flying around. She shook her head like a wet puppy and abruptly turned. "Are you okay, Sensei?" Ok, she really treated herself as a student. The tiny dizzy girl found herself a more comfortable sitting position, Jordan's words resulted in a blush in her cheeks. She nodded and nodded while Z proudly bragged. He paused in her mind, the girl felt like she was being eye-squinted at. She must learn how to control him, at least not to be knocked down every time like this.... When she was about to ask about the status of the shield, Z replied shortly. So she quickly told him about that, like a messenger bird. The tiny girl slowly got off from the ground, dusted herself. Nghhhhh her coat, it's new.....better not to get it too dirty, she thought and dusted it more.
Then, the taller hunter talked about practice. The trainee started to think of where and how she could weird her hammer, but she could do some daily exercises for sure. "Sun? They need to fight a lot? And for example, like slow run, sit-up and spars to increase stamina and train reaction?" She slightly tilted her head upper without notice.
The swinging show of the hunter made her slipping a short "wow" out of her mouth, that. was. so. chic! Like the hero in the fantasy story end pose before leaving.
"C-Can I watch aside?" She implored, a bit nervous, with sparkly admiring eyes. "I promise I won't bother you." The Asian girl didn't want to lose such a precious opportunity to witness how the two used the charge.

"I'm fine. I've had worse," Jordan laughed. "We're also at about half. We'll go have something to eat after this and take a rest so Ferros can regenerate our shield." The title made him smile; it made him think of Allan, and the comparison was deeply flattering. He nodded. "Sun division specializes in fighting. We're the front line when there's combat, together with Moon. Suns are on offense, Moons are on defense; sometimes you might hear a Sun and a Moon together called an Eclipse team. Since it's a Sun's job to fight, we spend most of our time training to stay in top shape and be ready for when we go out in the field." He patted her shoulder. "Running, sit-ups and spars sound like a great routine. Make it into a habit. It's a good way to stay healthy and feel good too." He nodded. "Of course you can watch. Stay back," he warned, though his tone was friendly. He moved over to the row of dummies and brought Ferros down off his shoulder into a fighting stance. The hammer's runes pulsed red, and Jordan closed his eyes briefly, a small smile flitting across his face. In one quick motion, he stepped forward, planted his foot solidly, and spun, bringing Ferros around in a wide circle; halfway through the motion, the hammer's head burst into brilliant flame with a soft whump. They hit the dummy solidly, and the wooden pole holding it up cracked loudly. The top half of the dummy flew off and landed several feet away, still burning. Show-off, Ferros accused affectionately. Yeah, so are you, Jordan answered. HP: 29/60 Target: Training dummy Damage: 18 Charge: 3/3

The Asian girl smiled as her Sensei said he was fine, he did look tough. "O-oh sureee thank you for the lesson!" She made a 90 degree bow but her stomach drummed lightly at the wrong moment. She flushed while realized she didn't eat anything before. Z was mocking in her mind for her stupidity. "So- it's better to stop when the shield has only half remaining?" She asked. She listened interestingly when he talked, oh front line, it should be dangerous and tough for their jobs...What Jordan continued to say distracted her, she didn't know hunters would work in partners, that's nice. "So- Moon is the supportive role?" It sounded like MMOPRG, maybe she knew how it worked. If Sun and Moon formed an Eclipse team, did Life and Death formed a team too? The pat on her shoulder made her raised her head to look at him. "Will do! Thanks for the suggestion!" She saluted. Then, the Sun hunter moved towards the dummies, and posed very handsomely. She opened her mouth slightly and kept her eyes widened on Jordan, as if she was watching an exciting fighting scene. She held her breathe when he paused, heart beat accelerated, waiting for him to strike. The big swift beautiful curve of Ferros captivated her eyes and she made a short "wow" as the hammer flared up. She was speechless but also astonished by the smooth badass action while feeling a feeble disgusted emotion from Z. Her eyes turned into sparkly stars as the dummy was thrown away by the strength, burning like a firewood.
The expression held for a whole few seconds before she recovered from the show, clapping her hands in agog loudly.
"T-That is- INCREDIBLE Sensei!" She said in exhilaration, hands slightly sweated from the thrill, eyes were still starry and sparkly.
And her stomach drummed again, barely audible though.

"It's better to stop before the shield breaks," Jordan agreed. "You can fight for longer if you want to, but once your shield breaks you'll actually get hurt, so if you don't have much left it's better to ask your opponent to stop. Losing a spar isn't a big deal, so don't push yourself when you're getting low on shield." He tugged the collar of his shirt down to show her the top end of a scar that started at his collarbone and ran down to vanish under his clothes. "This happened when my shield broke in a spar, and I had to spend some time healing up in the infirmary."
He grinned happily at her starry-eyed applause, not at all immune to flattery. "Thanks," he said. "We like to think it's a little impressive." His eyebrows jumped a little when her stomach growled, and his smile took on a sympathetic slant. "I think we'd better get you to the cafeteria."
