- Embrace Your Dreams
Dee and Granny
Was this really happening? Or was that meeting just another one of those very real dreams he'd been experiencing recently? No. Oh god, he really had a spirit in this dreamcatcher.
He glanced at the object, hung delicately from the hanging bookstand by his bed. That's what you do with things like these, right? He had read up on dreamcatchers, their history, what they mean -- frankly he had even more questions than answers even after his meeting with Granny.
"Why me?" He murmured at the dreamcatcher as if it could answer him. It was late, he couldn't exactly sleep immediately when all that was said to him was still weighing on his mind. Dee sat on his bed, leaning on the wall, mismatched eyes still focused on it, brows wrinkled in deep thought.
It looked so -- delicate, spinning gently in it's place, the ring that was sewn into it shining elegantly. He was scared and nervous but the more he looked at it the more it soothed him, the dreams it gave him -- well, he couldn't complain. Even though waking up seemed more dismal with those dreams. Maybe that's why the spirit had chosen him? Because he was --- as he was? And it was perhaps trying to cheer him up? Many ideas formed in his head about this, it was giving him a headache.
He sat himself up on his bed properly then, moving to grab his violin from the case and back on the bed. The feel of the wood in his hands always made him more comfortable, it was something familiar to him, something he loved all his life despite himself. And slowly he strung the bow on the instrument, playing a gentle tune, his eyes closed and leaning against it. It was a sweet melody -- but one could also hear a tinge of sadness in it, uncertainty.
And after a few minutes, he looked up at the dreamcatcher once again. "I guess all I can say is.. Thank you for choosing me."
