"Balsamic is good."
There really wasn't anything in her fridge that she didn't enjoy including the occasional sweet treat. Harmony tried to eat healthy as much as possible to keep her figure. Between that and running all over campus and back every day she managed to keep in shape pretty well.
She invited Lily to eat with her at her small kitchen table. At her question the mint haired girl had to laugh.
"Fashion and photography. That's pretty much it for me. Well, that and burlesque but more as a fascination than a hobby. My mom wouldn't get too ballistic if I started doing it, would she?"
She chuckled as she spoke, well past the point where she felt the need to shock her mother for attention. Besides, for as fit as she was Harm wasn't sure she could take her clothes off in front of strangers for art or not. Maybe in an intimate setting like a photo shoot but not in front of a crowd. Those men and women certainly had her respect and admiration. Maybe one of these days she'd give it a try but song and dance were not her strong suits.
"Do you ever perform around here?"

Lily grabbed the balsamic dressing and headed to the table to eat with Harmony. She smiled she sat down curls a little all over because she'd been moving so much and hadn't bothered to fix them.
"My sister likes fashion, Ive always been pretty hopeless. I just like lace. I have lots of it. My sister buys a lot of my clothes, she knows what I like. As for burlesque, Im going to have to admit that I honestly have no idea what that is."
She gave a sheepish grin, "but it you think your mom might go ballistic best maybe not to do it or at least make sure she doesn't find out."
She took a few bites on the meal debating if she should ask Harmony what exactly the hobby was, but wasn't sure she wanted to know. "I, uh, don't often preform really, I do sing a lot in the park though, so I guess that counts because people listen. As for ballet aside from graded performance I've never starred in a ballet of anything."

"Well, God knows I don't tell mom everything."
Things were just safer that way, keeping her mother in the dark. Kyndall always seemed stressed or worried about her and she knew her mother didn't handle change well. She guessed that came from all the bad things that had happened in her life. Harm grinned, to show she was teasing but there was a hint of defense in her tone, a fierce need to protect her mother.
After all, for a long time she'd openly been the worry in her mother's life and had been proud of it.
"I like lace. It can reveal as much as it hides."
She used it a lot in shoots to accent features or hide certain things. It was a very useful thing to have around. She took a few bites, thinking, and wondered if she should explain what burlesque actually was. Considering it involved stripping and sexy poses she didn't usually volunteer the information unless asked, so people didn't get the wrong idea about her. She always found it empowering when she read about it.
"Burlesque is...well, it's about beauty and sex and making a statement. It's about women being sexy and presenting all of who you are to the crowd. I've always been drawn to it."
