"Wait...you woke up in the police station instead of your home?" he asked curiously, surely this boy wasn't homeless. Although he did look a little dirty and terribly skinny even for a boy his age. "...Do.....you have a home to go to? A safe home?" he asked softly, concerned for his patient's well being; at least thats what he needed to project if he wanted to keep the cops off his tail.

Takeru looked out the window when he was asked about his home. He just shrugged. "The place I lived has been closed off my police tape. I don't have a home." He said, looking down at his hands.

That wasn't going to fly with him, he needed the cops to know that he was genuinely trying to help and if he just let this poor boy go back to sleeping on the streets but at the same time he couldn't allow his patient to live with him where most of his deals happen. That would be suicide and he wasn't about to go to prison anytime soon. There was one alternative though. Jared took out his wallet and reached inside, pulling out a credit card he rarely used. He handed it to the poor skinny boy and gave him a soft smile. "It's all paid off. I don't care how much you spend, just find a hotel or a motel and get yourself something to eat after we're done here." he instructed, hoping the boy would take the card and consider his offer. Jared looked at his clock and noticed that they were just about done. "We have ten more minutes left. We can spend it however you like, we can either continue talking or you can leave early."

Takeru looked at the man, watching him as he took out his wallet and then was handed a credit-card. He looked.....shocked. His eyes wanted to look at the therapist's face, but couldn't so he looked away. He breathed, no one ever gave him a penny and now he was being given a credit card. He didn't know what to do. He wanted to accept it, but he simply stood up and quickly left. He survived this long on his own.

Jared jumped up right after the boy did, he would have caught the other but he wasn't counting on his patient running out the door so quickly. Apparently trying to help him out scared him a little. He tried to follow the boy out of the office but as soon as he looked down the street it was as if his patient had disappeared. Jared knew he would see the boy again, he just wasn't sure if that would be their next session or if they would meet again somewhere else. Maybe after the day was done he would search for Takeru a little, buy him dinner.

Takeru had ran into an alleyway so he would not be seen by the therapist. He sat down next to the empty dumpster with a sigh. The idea that someone wanted to help fend for him was so new after so long. He didn't know what to make of it. After a while he left the alley and went to the park. The park fountain always had quarters and dimes, and on occasion a dollar coin. He would take from the fountain to buy food every now and again.

It would be a few more hours before Jared could be done with his day, perhaps he would meet Takeru later but for the moment he had other patients to attend to. Sometimes it was tedious to keep up with this facade but it was necessary to stay out of prison. Five in the evening finally rolled around, time to head home and rest for the night. Luckily he didn't live very far from the office, just a couple blocks from the nearby park. This was ideal since he didn't care to drive everywhere for everything.

Takeru had taken about $7 worth of money from the fountain, his hands were wet and the coins were jingling as he bought some food from a fast food restaurant, the people in there were staring at this homeless child, but he didn't have to stand it for long. He went to a different alley this time. He sat down next to the large dumpster and started to eat his dinner, thinking about the offer that would've gotten him an apartment. He sighed, no point for worrying now.
