Those are all possibilities. The only problem i see with that is that she is going to want to do her duty as a detective if she sees the criminal at work. And i doubt she'll take nicely to being threatened burning to a crisp.. And for connections to form they have to see each other more than once, which is why the tracking idea is in favor for me right now. As for ashes in the snow? It's quite simple. Rather than it be carried into the atmosphere, the wind carries and along with the the snow so the bundles of ash fall. They would have to be very fine molecules, however. And I suppose it would have to be very windy indeed.
I have an....interesting way of depicting Aberdeen. She's very cynical and sullen. Usually always in a deadpan.
Too true; good point. Also, the serial killer would not be dumb enough to threaten someone with incineration. Just sayin'. :p Done and done. Tracking it is. Hm, I suppose I could have my guy do that if he drops the ashes from on top of a building during a blustery and snowy night. Sounds nifty. I can try and make a mock profile soon to see what you think.

I was kidding, silly. Markus seems too stoic and reserved for that. ...He would have to leave that building rather quickly in order to catch up with Aberdeen. She moves fast in those heels. I'll make a mock profile, too. I at least know what those are.

Yeah, true... we'll have to smooth out those details later, I suppose.
Mock Profile: Ello, my Name is: Markus Fitzpatrick Oh, I'm right about the age o': 29 Can't ye tell, lass? I'm: Irish/Scottish Let's not sit here and talk about me: Reserved, Stoic, Cautious, but Polite. Oh nothing extraordinary, just: Serial Killer, Arsonist, and Explosive Technician. My past? I'd rather not: Markus was raised in a broken home with abusive parents. They had even killed some of his siblings. He managed to escape with his youngest sister before they could hurt her too. Once he left, he returned to burn their house down. When his parents survived, he was both angry and frightened. He left his little sister alone in order to take care of them so that they would never try to hurt either him or his sister again. He burnt their bodies to ash and spread them out into the Atlantic to hide them. Then he moved to England with his sister, who was starting to attend school. It wasn't long before a ***** abducted and raped her. When he was found out, he killed her. Before he could be incarcerated, he disappeared with only an urn of ashes to find in his place. Markus had gotten his revenge on the man, but it wasn't enough. Now he had no one left, and he set out to carve vengeance in his siblings' names. Modus Operandi: I don't particularly care for those who let the children suffer, or the ones who get in my way. Anything else?: No. Now kindly leave me to my tea, if you would please.
What do ye think, lass?

That accent is killer~ I like em'! Here's mine:
Name: I go by Blake. My full name is Aberdeen Blake. Age: I'm only 24. Nationality: I'm Welsh. Personality: Sullen, Somber, Apathetic, Impassive, Distant, and Monotone. Skills & Occupation: Detective, Taxidermist, & Pathologist. Biography: Aberdeen didn't have too much of a childhood. Abandoned as a child, she hopped from orphanage to orphanage, either from running away or because the current orphanage did not want her anymore. This process, unfortunately, happened more times than she could count on one hand. By the time Aberdeen had finally settled in a specific orphanage, she was already 10. The caretaker of the orphanage, an old, pruny woman, was incessantly kind to the fickle hearted little Aberdeen. The young girl truly had the impression that no one wanted her, and an old woman wouldn't change this thought. Nevertheless, Aberdeen grew to appreciate everything the old woman did for her unconditionally. Naturally, they grew close, like daughter and grandmother. It wasn't until Aberdeen was 16 that her desire for becoming a detective grew. Her 16th Birthday year was a rather depressing year in her life, filled with deaths and sadness. So, it was within this particular year Aberdeen knew she'd become an investigator. It didn't involve vengeance against anyone, or a resolve to exterminate murderers from the nation. No, Aberdeen did it because she wanted to experience a tragedy with a happy ending, she wanted to transform all of the grief, and horror brought about by murder into a puzzle, and she wanted to be the one to make it go away. She wanted to solve that puzzle, not to make her feel wanted, to clear everyone of their guilt and uncertainty. Because in that 16th year of living, she was tired of being in the presence of death, and was ready to remove people from it. Other: She dumps coffee that she doesn't drink in a potted plant somewhere in her office. Every office she resides in has to have a potted plant of some sort. Also, Aberdeen rarely smiles.

Cool, sounds good to me. As for the title, how about: "Like a Moth to the Flame" or "Burning the Candle at Both Ends" or "Conflict of Interest". Those are the three that immediately popped into my mind. I can think of more if you'd like.

It'd be really nice if you threw any ideas you have at me, not just about a title, but anything involving the roleplay, as I am currently typing up my post and am sweating bullets at how nervous I am. (Also I really like Burning the Candle At Both Ends)

Well as for how to start the roleplay, I think that one's on you. It's your idea, and I don't want to step on your starting grounds. Although I have a small piece of advice: Don't sweat it. I'm not in a rush and I don't mind starting from scratch. We can start off with your character just getting off work from another new case, and mine can start off with an urn placement and choosing a new target (your character). I think that could work. Either that, or I could start off with another killing and whatnot, whatever works. You can choose whatever title you want or even make your own. I'm glad you liked one of the ones I thought. I thought they were clever. I also thought of "The Path to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions", but it's more of a proverb and too long. MAybe "Best of Both Worlds" or "Trial by Fire" or "All's Fair in Love and War" or "Hand in the Flame". Eh, now I'm just grabbing at straws.

Thank you. I've got a good idea down of how i'm doing this, and based on what i have so far, my character being targeted sounds perfect. It's fine, I have it all down . c:

It's fine, I have it all down . c:
Cool, I look forward to seeing it.
Finished, and most definitely DEAD. emotion_zombie I hope I gave you something to go off of in terms of following. I made it, um, pretty obvious, I think. Now we wait. o u o
Okie, gimme a sec. I just got a good few roleplays that just got replied to previous to this popping up. :s

Always assume Aberdeen is wearing the clothing depicted in her image unless I say otherwise.
