"Thanks," Tallula took her cup of punch and smiled, listening. "I think that I'll be attending a lot of them, yes. Us finned folk have a harder time getting together, I think. And I don't know why. We're not all mean and nasty. I'll be going to the Kereoke event for sure. I like to sing."

"You're Welcome." Riptide listened to her as she talked. "Indeed it is. I don't dislike land dwellers, but it is nice to get to know your neighbors in the sea. I haven't known too many." He looked at the paper of events. "Actually Karaoke sounds like fun and maybe a couple of the games." He looked down a bit. "Although I can't say I'm too good at dancing. Maybe synchronized swimming would be more my style."
He finished his punch before getting up. "Well this party should be starting. Do you want to go and see who all shows up or do you just want to head over to the events?"

She floated up with him. "Um...I'm thinking events. That way it's more of a mixer and less of a stand here awkwardly and wait for people to talk to." She set her cup of punch down as gently as possible, "And a wall of ponies just waiting to be talked to can be intimidating. I don't want to be intimidating."
((Can some of my underwater ponies show up to this? Or were you planning on having any show up at all?))

Riptide laughed a bit. "Yeah I suppose you're right on that." He looked around. "Well they have an underwater garden display somewhere as well if you would want to see it. They claim they have rare plants in there and some exotic sea animals as well. Although they are enclosed behind glass so it's not like they can come out and attack you." He looked around again. "Or would you want to do Karaoke first?'
(Sure! The more the merrier. I was gonna throw in Shamu and Hiroto as well. Sanjiro might pop back up here and there, but it's normally gonna be him focusing on keeping the party together so we don't have drunk ponies. XD)

"I'd love to go see that! I like gardens." Tallula was beaming again. "Maybe by that time some of my friends will show up. Some of them just didn't want to come as early as I did."
Bren was part of the somewhat small gathering traveling to the party that Tallula was at. He had wanted to go without her prodding, but he didn't want to show up so early that no one would be there. He shook his head looking at the other sea pony that was with them. "How's Zar doing?"
The pink and white paisley marked pony frowned, "Poor Zaraya. She had to stop to be sick again. We told her that she didn't have to come, but she said she didn't want to disappoint Tallula."
Bren looked back to check on the pregnant mer. "She's chugging along. Poor thing. I'm sure Tallula would understand."
"That's what I told her." Corina sighed, "But she wouldn't hear it. Naida is about ready to make her turn back and go home. But she didn't want her out in the first place. She worries so much for her daughter."

Riptide nodded his head. "Alright then. Let's go." He then headed off towards the garden. "Wow! This is more amazing then what I thought it would be." He swam over to a hot pink coral bed. It had some weird critters crawling out of it that looked like shrimp, except they were pure white. "So tell me. Do you
Shamu swam in with her brother Hiroto. She was hiding behind him as usual like her shy self.
Hiroto scoffed at Shamu. "If you're gonna come to a party. Quit hiding behind me!"
Shamu moved herself out and right next to him while looking down. "I'm sorry, I...I just am not comfortable around these settings."
Hiroto rolled his eyes. "Look you need to try and be more outgoing. No one likes a scaredy seapony."
Sanjiro swam over to them then. "Hello you to. Ah Shamu and Hiroto. Good that's two more that have shown up. I'll be back, but I'm gonna go check on the other guests to make sure they arrived. If you need someone to talk to I'll be more than glad to do it."
Sanjiro then swam over to Corina and Bren. "Ok that makes another two then." He gave them a small welcoming gift as well. "Please feel free to enjoy yourself, get to know others, or you could just meet up with your friends and family here." He knew he was being kind of obvious, but when it came to parties he was extremely passionate about setting up and helping anyway possible.

Tallulah was just as interested in the pink coral and the white shrimp things as Riptide. She almost missed his question. "Do I what?"
Corina smiled at the sea pony, "Thanks." She looked around. "Don't see Tallula anywhere. Oh! But they look interesting!" She was off again, going over to Hiroto and Shamu. "Hi! I'm Corina. What's your names?"
Bren just shook his head and followed after her. "And I'm Bren. Nice to meet you."
Zaraya was finally at the entrance. She was a little worse for wear, and definitely tired. "No more kids..."
Naida only smiled at her daughter. "I hope you're not having as many as I did."
"Oh gods I hope not..." was the only reply that Zaraya could think of. At least the only decent reply.
Naida helped her to get into a chair. "Want anything?"
Zar nodded her head, "A drink would be good."

Riptide shook his head. "Actually never mind. I got so caught up in thought that I was starting to blabber nonsense." He then looked around wondering what else there was. "Oooh! That tree over there is glowing. Have you seen anything like that before?"
Shamu went and hid behind her brother again when the two seaponies came over.
Hiroto had to shove her back out. "Well this one here is Shamu and I'm her brother Hiroto." He gave Shamu a look to cut it out. "She's normally not comfortable in big huge crowds, but I made her come to socialize more instead of being all cooped up." He looked around. "That plus I wanted to see what was hopping in this joint."
Shamu looked down at the ground while fiddling with her fins nervously. "I...I'm sorry...I...never been...to to...a party before. I..." She stopped herself before she could say anything more embarrassing. She knew if she made her brother look bad he would let her have it at the end of the day."
Sanjiro was still making his rounds to make sure all the guests got here. He noticed the two merponies and went over to welcome them as well. "Hello...Welcome to the party." He checked off two more on the list to keep count of all the ponies arriving. "There are plenty of activities to do whether it be some sporting event or just relaxing near a table with some hor d'oeuvres and some wine." He looked around to see if others were arriving so he could go over and greet them. "Anyways, here are your welcoming gifts. Everyone gets them. If I interrupted anything then I'm sorry. I'll let you two enjoy yourselves without an overly yappy seapony in your way."
(Gosh I just realized I never finished the sentence from the previous response for Riptide. That's what happens when Seiph doesn't sleep for two days. XD)

((Lol, that's ok. I figured you must have forgotten. It was too random to have been planned.))
Tallula let the question slide, her attention going to the tree. "How pretty! I've never seen anything like this before. Usually this kind of stuff grows down where there's no light. And that's where the big fish are. And I like life. I don't have any plans to be someone else's supper."
Corina waved at Shamu. "You don't have to be nervous around us. We're just Bren and Corina. Bren might look scary, but he's not. He's more roar than bite." She laughed at the pun.
Bren rolled his eyes. "Corina likes to make jokes about me being colored like a lion fish. I've gotten used to it." He shrugged. "Besides, I can roar like a lion." Bren grinned at this."It's pretty cool."
Naida nodded, "Thank you." She took the gifts for her and Zaraya. "I'm afraid we probably won't be too active. My daughter's having a rough pregnancy." She smiled kindly at the sea pony. He seemed nice enough.
Zaraya smiled at the male as well, trying her best not to grimace as her stomach churned again. "Mom, I really could use something to drink..."
Naida nodded and went to go find some punch.

Riptide nodded his head. "Indeed. Some of those fish can be very scary even for us merponies. My mother actually lost an arm to one of them." He looked around the garden. It had a nice serenity, but exotic sense to it as well.
Shamu looked up. "O-ok...." She looked over towards Bren then back at Corina. "S-so what brought you here?"
Hiroto was trying not to be rude and but in, but it could be seen that he was partially annoyed with his sister's constant shyness and stuttering. He couldn't comprehend why a seapony could be so scared of her own shadow and others.
Sanjiro smiled back and looked at them both. "Ah! I see. Well congratulations! There are a lot of low key activities here so don't feel the need to over exert yourself. We try to make the parties appeal to a wide variety of needs and likes." He looked around. "Well you two have a wonderful evening and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask."

Tallula's moutth formed and "o" shape. "How horrible! She's recovered well, I hope! I bet she had a hard time in the dark water after that."
"Our friend Tallula," Answered Bren. "She found out about this party and wanted all of us to come so that we could get out and meet new ponies. She's all for water creature unity."
Corina nodded, "She says we'll mold if we don't move around some. She could be right. I know I don't get out as much as I should. I like my nice little patch of seaweed. What about you two?"
Naida returned with two cups of punch. "There you go, Zar."
The other mer took the punch gratefully, "Thanks Mom. What would I do without you?"
Naida grinned, "Well, you'd be at home, in misery, with no potions from your father."
Zaraya couldn't help but grin. "Yes...that's true. I know Daddy wants to see me...but I just can't stomach the smell in your cave right now. And I know how he is about the beach."
"You'll get to see him in good time, "Naida added. "Just focus on those babies right now. That's what he wants."

Riptide nodded his head. "She did, but my father was brave enough to go down there sometimes if we really needed anything from the bottom." He sighed for a second realizing that he was starting to be a bit depressing. However, he quickly changed his frown to a smile. He didn't want to depress Tallula out. "So what else is there here?" He looked around. "Any of these plants look familiar to where you live?" He pointed at different varieties of seaweed. "I mean these all grow in different areas. The only ones I know are these three. The ones that are purple I have never seen to tell you the truth."
Shamu listened to all of them. "That sounds nice and all, but I'm still the shy type." She looked down. "I mean I don't hate anyone. I'm just afraid I'll make a fool out of myself."
Hiroto chuckled at what Corina said. "Mold...how silly. Although she is right on getting out and about. It is nice to see others, even if it is just a small greeting. That way you can know if there are any ponies out there that would be willing to be friends."
Sanjiro watched as the two merponies were enjoying themselves. With that note he bowed. "Well enjoy the party." He then swam off to see if others would be coming as well.

"The purple ones are very good to eat. Some of them grow next to the reef where I live. I don't know what they're called, and depending on how you fix them, they can taste bad, but they're very healthy." Tallula pointed to a pink coral in a tree like shape. "And the pink coral is edible too. You can suck on it. It tastes like candy. But we probably shouldn't eat these ones on display."
Corina had the urge to bop Hiroto, but held it in. It would be his fault if he got some sort of waterborne fungi and his skin started peeling off. "Typically you have to want to be a friend before you can have any..."
Bren shot Corina a pointed look. "You won't know unless you try." He smiled at Shamu, "And if you never try, you could miss out on all sorts of wonderful things. Don't you ever just get tired of hanging out with your brother?"

Riptide looked at he purple ones. "Well I'd be willing to try it." He kind of blushed a bit embarrassed. "Although I'm not too good of a cook. I suck at it to be frank." He then looked over at the tree Tallulla pointed at. "I never really noticed, but then again you're right. I think Sanjiro would give us a long lecture." Riptide chuckled a bit before looking around. "Well do you want to see other exhibits? I think they have an exhibit somewhere here that shows supposedly extinct sea species."
Hiroto was wondering what was the one's problem, but he let it slide. He normally didn't understand the shy type and even then it didn't seem that he really cared. "Well I'm willing to be a friend, it just depends on how much they actually want to be one."
Shamu cocked her head to the side. "Well I do get to talk to one other pony. He can turn into water and breath underwater for that matter, but for the most part he doesn't socialize that much. His name is Aquo and he has a family." She looked around the area trying to take in the scenery. "It sure is quite busy though here." She was starting to relax. These ponies didn't seem too bad and they hadn't taunted her or at least not yet.

"I'd be more than happy to fix some for you sometime. I do an ok job at cooking. I haven't died yet." Tallula laughed, "We could go look at that. That sounds cool. And then I think I want to check and see if any of my friends came."
"He sounds neat. There are some ponies in our herd who are similar. The one actually took care of the blue merpony over there with the pregnant mer while she was in her shell." Bren shuddered, "She was one of the ones that Morticia forced away."
Corina nodded, "Yes, Naida, that's the merpony's name. The one who took care of her was Aquaria. I've never met her. She's somewhat of a legend in our herd."
