And then there was the silver menace, grabbing at Otto's tail as he changed course to a new hallway and letting him 'pull' her with him. She was going to win and his angry mewling was not scaring her!
< NO WAY IT'S MINE! > She hissed, trying to trip the other kitten.
That was totally fair. Totally.

Otto could only drag her so far. His squished up face mewled in frustration. So finally, he turned on her. Standing on his haunched, he let himself fall backward, hopefully on top of her. Squish her good! Nevermind that he was still a small kitten...

There was a moment where all her fluff stuck up... and then a very embarrassing mewl escaped that was cut off quite quickly. As she was squished beneath Otto!kitten.
And now she had a kitten butt in her face.
< NO THE THING! > She squeaked, trying to peek around the tail she spit out. It was getting away and and and-
Fini!kitten nipped Otto!kitten's rump.

A sharp yowl escaped Otto!Kitten, flailing wildly to escape the bite. His mewls became pathetic, whining that he'd been bitten. But she was right. His prey was escaping. The kitten tried to scurry ahead of Fini. It needed to grab that tissue before it reached anyone else.

Finn had snapped tiny kitten teeth at one of Fini's paws when she batted at his ear, a light growl escaping from his throat that was most definitely not a purr at all. Everybody else could act like they were having a hay day with this situation, but he refused to take part. Even if his back legs did tense up and twitch as he struggled to keep himself from chasing after Fini and Otto (he figured out who it was by Abbi's yelling). With a huff through his tiny, adorable kitten nose, the half blind kitten turned his face up at the two acting like complete morons just for a tissue paper dancing through the air, and straightened back up so that he could saunter towards what he thought might be the only sensible one left in the group, and that was apparently Ripley, as Abbi was screaming about having naps together. exactly how I wanted to spend my day, how did you know, Abbi?> He stopped as he came up beside her, swiping out a paw to hook around her and pull her to his side, before giving in to at least one temptation and licking the side of her face with a rough tongue. There was definitely a slight undertone of amusement that might have indicated that there really hadn't been anything at all on Abbi's face and he just really wanted an excuse to lick somebody. Glancing back towards Ripley, his eyes narrowed. And what was worse, the sound seemed to be having an echo effect on Finn, who could feel a mighty urge starting to build up in his own chest. He sent a paw out to shove the other man...kitten.

Ripley started grumbling his refusals at that point. No he wasn't purring, not even slightly. They were hearing things. All of this ended when Abbi shoved her way against his tiny chest, not only to listen to him purr but to out the undeniable truth to the rest of them.
So he grappled her in a kitten hug and licked at her forehead, forgetting all about his distress over the matter as she started to purr alongside of him. After a while he forgot about everything else and just continued to groom the orange kitten in his grasp.
Until of course, Finn told him to stop. Then the kitten known as Ripley tilted his head to look square at the kitten known as Finn, his eyes lidded, and continued to purr. Loudly.

There was no kitten happier than Abbi-kitten. The fact that Finn had licked her didn't even register because Ripley was holding her and cleaning her and purring and brb Abbi was gonna just be a melty pile of happy, loudly purring, orange kitten fur.

Finn was not going to purr. He was not going to purr. He was not going to purr. Staring straight back at Ripley, Finn blinked slowly, and then would have smirked if his kitten lips could have let him do so. His tail flicked back and forth, and while he still felt that rumbly feeling in his chest bursting to be free, all he really wanted to do was be a b*****d. As usual. With good reason, he thought, but kept that part to himself considering current company.

If a kitten could blush, Catley would have pulled it off. As it were his grooming of the orange tabby slowed to a stop, still staring at the jerk in kitten form. He caught the slow blink, and his own amber eyes rolled, the tip of his tail switching. To him, the second comment was entirely unnecessary; they’ve already had that conversation.
< You’re just jealous someone actually likes me. > Ripley literally purred, nuzzling his face between Abbi’s ears as if trying to prove his point. < Sorry, Fini. > Then the ragdoll kitten untangled himself from Abbi and the pile, pawing fearlessly towards his friend. First he put his paw square on Finn’s noise, uttering a little mewl as he did, and then he leaned heavily against him, rubbing the side of his face against his shoulder.
< Come on a*****e, lighten up, life’s not that hard. This is probably just another mass hallucination anyway. > Which was a roundabout way of suggesting he lighten the ******** up for once, since it probably wasn’t even real.
< Come on, Buddy~ > He purred, nuzzling against Finn as if trying to make him purr, too. < I know you want to~ >

Not for the first time in her life, albeit certainly for the first time in her kitten life, Abbi felt sincerely put off and put upon because of someone else. Her purring cut off a second after Finn's dig and she went very still, sure to stay very quiet. Not only was this not a conversation about her even if she was somewhat mentioned, it was above all a conversation at her expense. The two men were going to carry on without her and wouldn't miss her at all. They would laugh and get to be good buddies and joke about her, and she wasn't anything. She just the butt of a joke. The additional nuzzle from Ripley only made the orange kitten duck her head further down, not really fighting to get away but certainly a sign that she was pretty much done. She remained patient, but the second he was no longer holding her she pushed herself to her paws. No backwards glance was spared to the others as she turned and fled, not even bothering to speak. It wouldn't matter, no one would stop her, all that and more, so she just ran off. Finn was a jerk and Ripley didn't care and Toto really didn't care. Only Fini received any sort of notice as Abbi zipped off down the hallway and even that wasn't noteworthy and could easily be confused with the kitten accidentally grazing alongside the silver kitten.

Finn was just being Finn, plain and simple. He had been trying to get a rise out of Ripley, and while yes, he was fairly disgruntled with suddenly finding himself transformed into a kitten, of all things, he was very much aware that it was likely only a temporary problem, much like turning into a snow man had been, or their dream of an alternate universe at New Years. It was a strangeness that he had come to expect, and really, while he wasn't exactly a fan of being a feline, after the initial shock had worn off he was just trying to get through it all with at least a modicum of decency. Which meant trying very hard to not act like a kitten. Difficult, and becoming harder by the second, especially when Ripley didn't rise to his bait and instead came over and rubbed up against him. Not gonna purr, not gonna purr, notgonnapurr. Finn started to purr. God damn it. And then Abbi was running away. Wait, why was Abbi running away? Two seconds ago she had wanted a nap pile and had been living it up in her kitten form and now she was just...gone? Well okay then. Maybe she was just going after a floating tissue too....? Head butting Ripley to hopefully push him away, his own purring began to peter out almost as quickly as it had begun, and he watched as the orange kitten bee lined past Fini and Otto as well, ruling out his initial thought that she had found something to chase along with them. <......Well that was weird. Guess you didn't leave your girlfriend very satisfied there in the end. ABBBBBIIII!!> He let out a long and loud meow down the hallway, not wanting to let it be said he hadn't at least tried to get her to come back. But seriously if she was going to bolt after just one little joke, he wasn't about to go chasing after her. More tail lashing from side to side. Everyone idek what's going on anymore now

Rest assured Finn, Ripley was internally cackling in victory. He heard the purr, was close enough to feel the purr, which meant he had won. Hands down, he had won. The headbutt came around the time that he noticed Abbi bolting off, and after leaning heavier on Finn for just a moment, he did pull himself onto his own paws, sitting tall and on point.
He gazed after the orange tabby, tail twitching as he tried to figure out what had happened. There wasn’t anything to chase and she was remarkably silent – at least for Abbi – which on it’s own was suspicious.
< Shut it, Huckleberry. > Ripley sounded as distracted as he was. He remained still for a little longer, pondering as seriously as his kitten instincts would allow, and eventually heaved a sigh. < I’ll get her. > He informed the others, beginning to pad down the hallway after the confused little kitten.
< Abbi? >

Due to small kitten stature that meant most overhead vision was mostly obscured what with whiskers and fur and ears, so it also meant Abbi didn't make it very far down the hallway. In fact, there wasn't much hallway left before it continued down one way and branched off another, the latter of those paths the kitten decided to take. Only, instead of making it all the way around the corner, she got distracted by was that a shiny thing and careened headfirst into the wall. There was a pitiful squeak and then a flop and then Abbi kitten was down. For a long while, or as long as it took Ripley to make it down the hall after her, the cat laid there, half sprawled on the floor and half smushed against the wall. Someone far away called her, but she was too busy wallowing to hear them. Or pay attention. Or figure out who it was. But someone was closer and with her face pressed to the floor, she yowled pitifully. Why that wasn't needy at all.

Finn couldn't let the other kitten go without at least one final retort. He laughed in his kitten form, which came out as something like a coughing hiss-spit weird combination that was not at all dignified and made him feel rather stupid immediately afterwards. With a sigh he flumped back down on the floor, tail still lashing back and forth, head going down to his paws. He figured she might like that reference just a little bit, but if not, again, at least he had tried. Oh, wait, too late for that one, as he was already gone.
Damnit, that one would have been a good one, too!
Another loud meow as he soon found himself all alone and not liking it one bit.

DISTRACTION! < > He snapped at Fini, trying to get her away from his tissue as it cascaded down another hall.
