"I am drinking because I want a drink, and I am actually going to try and stay as sober as I can because you are going to need someone to babysit your drunk a**." Alex flashed Des an amused smile. "It's all for your own good."

"Yeah well... Assuming my a** gets drunk." He shrugged. Des didn't normally do this sort of thing. "Probably not the best time to admit I haven't eaten much."

"Your a** is going to get very drunk, I can tell," Alex laughed, standing up again. "I can get you something to drink, and some water to help space so you hopefully don't end up with a hangover tomorrow, sound good?"

"Again, assuming. I've seen you get severely shitfaced and walk around like it never happened the next day. My question is why did she give us shot glasses and not regular ones. She knows we aren't going anywhere..." The purple haired boy grumbled as he scrubbed at his face.

"That's because I space with food and water, sweetheart," Alex said, laughing. "I'm guessing the shot glasses are because she gave us drinks traditionally done as shots, rather than drunk in large amounts. I can get bigger cups from the kitchen if you're looking to get good and drunk quickly, though."

"Uh huh... Sure. Right because that one time you came over crying about whats his face. You totally didn't have anything but alcohol all night. Sure ya did Lexi." He sighed stretching out on the couch. "I don't know.. What do you normally do for this."

"Learning curve," Alex said, waving a hand. "Also I appreciate that all my past mistakes - ehem, boyfriends - merge into one nebulous entity of whats-his-face." He ducked into the kitchen, getting a glass of water and an empty cup, and then walking back and setting both in front of Des. "Drink to your heart's content, sweetheart."

Alex rolled his eyes and then poured another shot, downing it quickly. "Nebulous mass of whats-his-face is fine with me."
--------------------------------
It had taken a few hours, but Des had ended up very drunk and Alex had ended up...reasonably so, so they'd decided that walking back to Des's house and passing out there was a better idea than passing out at Luka's.
Gabriel had passed out on Des's stairs, hoping his boyfriend would come home. It was pretty sad, all things considered - just about everyone he cared about had ended up shutting him out, and every single one was his fault. He knew that sitting on his boyfriend's front steps and hoping was desperate and sad, but it was all he had left at this point.

"That's what I thought you said." Des grinned as he downed his own shot.
---
Des tried to surprise the random snickering as he staggered down the street, hanging off Alex's shoulder. There was nothing particular he was laughing at. He was just drunk. And very, very, very tired. The purple haired boy had ended up trying to walk on his own once or twice but that quickly led to walking into a wall... or just completely tripping over his own two feet. He blinked rapidly upon arriving at his place however and cocked his head curiously at the mass curled up on his stairs. Puling out his phone, he somehow managed to call Alex. "Alex! There's somefin on- Oh there you are." He said as he blinked at the man and instantly dropped his phone. "Look look look. ....What's dat?"

Alex roleld his eyes. "I'm right here, dumbass," he said, but there was no actual sharpness. He was just buzzed enough to be able to excuse some dumb behavior. "Yeah there's a person on your stairs and I thiiiinnnkk that's Gabriel."
The two of them talking was enough to wake Gabriel from his desperate, uncomfortable sleep, and he sat partway up and rubbed his eyes. He blinked slowly, seeing Alex's arm around Des and the way the taller man was leaning on him, and he frowned. Well, that was...unexpected but maybe not surprising. "Um," he said, his voice soft. Des was drunk, Alex probably was too - maybe he hadn't picked the best time.

Des just giggled furiously, almost tripping over himself again in the process. "Sshitt, s**t s**t." He cursed making a grab for his arm around Alex's shoulder, only to once again giggle once his balance was reestablished. "Well that was fun... Sooo... How do we get inside??" The boy asked as he tried to stand still and not flail about too much.

"Ohhh my god you are hopeless." With little thought for the fact that Des's boyfriend was right there, Alex casually shoved his hand into the taller man's pocket, retrieving his keys. "Gabriel, get up and hang onto des, he cannot stand." Alex said, and then he passed Des over when Gabriel complied and went to unlock the door.
Gabriel supported Des while he waited for Alex to open the door, almost glad that his boyfriend was too drunk to protest - or so he hoped. Getting rejected by drunk Des would be even worse than getting rejected by sober Des.

A lazy grin and a shove and Des was how hanging off someone else. "Uuuuh. I can too stand. Liar." His eyes narrowed for a minute, thinking. "...Wasn't there something I was doing... or something.. with someone... I don't know." He shrugged before looking back at Alex. "Leeexi..." Des whined. "I'm tired."

Alex pushed the door open and then relieved Gabriel of Des, leading the taller man carefully inside. "Well we were drinking together all night," he pointed out, and then he rolled his eyes. "Gabriel you come inside." Apparently what Des had told him was forgotten, or at least forgiven with sufficient alcohol.
Gabriel squeaked and ducked inside, praying that he wouldn't overstay his welcome. He'd take just being near Des, he was that desperate and miserable.
