"No." She shook her head slowly, pondering Denebola's words once more before shaking her head again. "No, it doesn't make you weak. It makes you human. That's what we are, in the end. We might have come from the stars, but this is where we were born this time and this." She brought one gloved hand up, making a vague motion in the direction of the park, the city itself. "This is our home."

There was a bit of sad desperation in her own voice at that as she glanced down to the cup in her hand, staring at it for a moment before bringing it up to take another slow sip. The warmth of the hot chocolate was like a blanket, reminding her of that humanity that tried to escape them from time to time.

"Those who don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it... And that does seem like the path we're traveling down, doesn't it. Sometimes... Sometimes I think we just need to find a neutral ground; not good, not evil, just alive."

Corvus set her cup down, reaching over to place a gloved hand over the other woman's in order to give it a gentle, reassuring squeeze. "We start out just like they did; one at a time. All it takes is a handful of like-minded individuals to start something." Those were words that she had heard before, although she couldn't remember if she had said them or if they had come from Saiph. It was the truth now, just as much as it was then, though, and where Denebola's flame was flickering she could feel hers starting to spark.

"We band together anyways, Denebola. You and I and anyone we can reach out to. We find our own path; something that suits us and what we believe in the most and we find something to fight for again. We share our knowledge and we help the next generation grow so that maybe, maybe we can organize a small enough piece of madness to make sense of things on our own." For a moment Corvus seemed just as passionate as she had been years ago; the most inspired that she'd been when it came to talk of Order and Chaos in months.

"At this point, I don't even want to win. I'd settle for a stalemate, even if it would be a dream to drive back the darkness."

She nodded, squeezing Denebola's hand once more as a determined smile lit her face. "We will make a difference, even if it's just to each other at first. Sometimes it means the world just knowing that there's someone else there; someone that you can lean on or call for back-up if it's needed."

It would be good to have a friend again. It was already good knowing that someone her cousin had trusted was still around and hadn't fallen; that there was a common link between them. Even if Arsinoe wasn't in Destiny City he'd be pleased to know that they were looking out for one another here.

"We can do this. We can make that difference and teach others that they can make a difference too. Let's do this."

If Corvus showed any sign of pause at that it was only briefly; more as a thought spared for those that she had known 'outside of this' and lost than because she was hesitant to let anyone know who she was in her other life. "I would like that. Honestly. It's," she took a deep breath, tilting her head towards the sky for a moment, "it's been a while since anyone has known. Other than Arsinoe, I think there might only be one other senshi alive who knows."

It was a risk letting someone in again; emotional and otherwise, but it was a risk that Corvus had to be ready to take. "We could meet somewhere? A cafe, or a bar if you'd prefer." She smirked softly, the expression lightly teasing.

"Arsinoe and I share the same last name, if you'd prefer to use actual names instead of code names." Corvus nodded, smiling. "I prefer tea to coffee, usually, but Shufflepuck has a pretty good tea assortment. I'll try to remember to wear one of my tees or sweaters with a crow on it, just in case, though. Tuesday at five sounds like a date to me."

Corvus remained on the bench a bit longer, staying long enough to finish off the warm drink that Denebola had brought. When the cup was empty and she was convinced that she had reflected in the cool evening air long enough she got up to head home. It would be good to have a friend on the inside of things again.
