Σύβαρις was quiet for a few, her hooves scraping on the stone of the floor. What now? She had come hoping to find her father. Smuag was obviously not her father, but she still was excited by the prospect of being in the company of other dragons. The herd she had come from - the shadow herd - held no interest for her. They were powerful Soquili, yes, but occupied themselves with measly quibbles she found boring.
"M'lord," she asked, dipping her head. "May I ask, if there's any service you may ask of me? I have journeyed a long way, and I have no desire to leave the company of one such as yourself so soon."

For a moment, Smaug wasn't certain. He stared at the mare with narrowed eyes. But then, he smirked. His Flight was small in numbers at the moment; many dwarves had been able to take down his dragons, and in the end, his army had fallen short. And now, now they were weak in numbers. But so were the dwarves. The only reason he still had control was because he was there. He was able to destroy anyone that dared come to him. Thorin Oakenshield knew that; and that was why he was king of this mountain. His tail flicked, and he took a slow step forward, his fangs snapping toward her for a moment. He lowered his head to keep eye level, and he smirked, wings folding against his back as he growled low in his throat.
"You wish to join my cause, little bone dragon? Well, fortunate for you, my flight needs more members." He lifted his head, eyes flickering down at him as he shifted and moved back toward his piles of gold, his footsteps causing gold to shift and move away from him. "Speak with Helka, my adviser. She will designate you a job for the Flight. If you are unable to find her, you can merely talk with some traders or visit the mines. Either way, dragon, welcome to my flight." He hissed, pausing to look back at Sybaris.

Σύβαρις tried to mask her excitement, but her boney tail wiggled beside her, subtly, at the prospect. She lifted her head only after he was done speaking, and nodded definitively. "Thank you, Mighty Smaug!" she said, puffing out her chest and trying to look as big and impressive as her small stature would allow. "I will seek her out immediately, and let her assign me to however she feels I'll do the most good."
She dipped her head again. "It's an honor to serve you, m'Lord."

The mighty dragon shifted lightly through the cave. He paused for a moment, and tilted his head slowly. His eyes flickered and stared toward the mare for a few moments, almost chuckling at the way she tried to make herself bigger. She was so small compared to him, that even with her wings flared and her chest puffed, she was tiny. He tilted his head for a moment, before flicking his tail. After a moment, he moved up into the gold piles, and toward the nest that he slept in for eighteen hours a day... or more. He slept a lot, okay?
Letting out a long yawn, Smaug curled up in his nest. "Of course it is, little dragon. Now go, before I grow irritated." He stated, letting out yet another yawn. It wasn't long before he laid his head quietly against some of the gold, and started to fall asleep.

Σύβαρις bowed her head slightly. "Yes, Smaug," she said respectfully, not allowing the tinge of annoyance to show.
She lifted her head with a confident smile and left the chamber, not willing to overstay her welcome at the mountain.
