As she looked over the flowers, a voice caught her attention. She turned to glance at the fancy unicorn, tilting her head to the side just a bit. How was it everyone knew so much about flowers? She'd definitely have to put some of this in her blog. Traveling could wear down the immune system after all, and she knew it was common for those who weren't prepared for the stress on their bodies to get the sniffles.
"That's great advice! Thanks," she said with a grin as she selected a few brightly colored snap-dragons to tuck into her mane and tail. They were so cute! If you pinched the petals just right it looked like a little mouth opening and closing. Satisfied with her selection, her attention was drawn upward to the sky as a clear voice called out for attention. She loved a good show, and this pony certainly was delivering! Magic - the unicorn kind as well as slight of hoof - was incredibly entertaining to watch. When he finished she gave an enthusiastic whistle and stomped her hooves in appreciation. This gathering was going to be awesome!
Turning her head once again, Globe Trotter grinned at the pale green unicorn who introduced herself. "Isn't that great? I don't get sick very often but now, when I do. it'll be for even less time! Me'a, nice to meet you," she added with a friendly wink. "This party's starting to really come to life! There's so much to do already I don't know where to begin!"
She headed away from the flower table after that, going over to a rather surly looking unicorn who was setting up a stall full of gorgeous glass decorations and art. "Wow," she said, careful not to get too close. Her high energy levels made her dangerous when fragile things were concerned. "Good thing I've got some bits on me. These are awesome!" She nosed just a bit closer, peering at her reflection in one of the fancy mirrors.

From the praise, it was only natural for Cobalt to give that slightly snooty gesture, with his nose tilted upwards and a smile adorn his face. Of course he was smart, he thought, so of course his intelligence should be recognized. He was about to answer the next question regarding mint leaves and marigolds, but was interupted rather rudely regarding of melons.
"Of course I'm a know-it-all, I'm a mage, a scholar, one that hopes to spread knowledge across the world, and perhaps even expand it." he retorted to the pegasus with little defense, in fact in admitance, "Most melons of any kind have little place in terms of alchemy; too juicy, it unbalances mixtures. They're still used as the base and for flavoring, but little else, and even raw melons still provide plenty of water and substance. One could easily live a month from nothing but Watermelons before malnourishment would kill. Pony-kind of course, but the lack of iron would begin to take its toll shortly after a week" After a small huff, the orange unicorn returned his attention to the one whom introduced herself as Me'a, which was overheard as she introduced herself to someone else. "Mint Leaves are used widely by the Ibex, the goats of the Ib'xian Empire. In tea, or as an incense, mint leaves are calming, soothing, and very meditative. I'll have to get back to you on marigolds, though." After that sentence, Cobalt took off his necklace to check on the gem, only to find its glow has yet to change, and simply put it back on. "Cobalt Lightning, Magistrate Immune of the Equestrian Royal Court, under House Hoofstallion. Formerly under House Regard, if you want to get technical. I COULD go into magic, as is my specialty and bloodline, but I'd run out of small words to use in record time. N-no offense intended, Arcanology is rather difficult to explain to those uneducated about even the basics, but that also doesn't mean only unicorns can perform spells."
The festivities were firing into full force now, and they were all quite dazzling. So many new faces and happy hearts-- hooves too, it seemed! As she joined in Globe Trotter's praising stomps. The little display of pegasus "magic" was quite entertaining, with a truly awe-inspiring showmanship! Though she'd seen a bit of nervousness on the stallion earlier he seemed to be nothing but pride and courage now! In turn she chuckled softly at Forest's whispered comment, happening to be close enough to hear. The mare's surprise at her tip, made her smile-- which grew wider as she watched her trot off to take it to the apple family. This was already turning out to be a wonderful hearts and hooves day.
Her wide eyes wandered from the show back to her speaking companion, Cobalt-- and to the pegasus that promptly interrupted him. She gave a befuddled blink as he started in about watermelon, though she rather enjoyed a good melon or two herself, she imagined that the extent of its 'power' was... well, water.
It sounded like that thought was spot on, and her ears perked forward a little more to listen to all the lovely things one could do with mint leaves. After so much information she snagged a few of those to tuck into her saddle-bag, fully intending on trying all of the ways it could be used. Though the following statement took her off-guard, she laughed a little when she was reminded not to take offense. "None taken... it sounds like you're in an entirely different league than I am. I don't use my magic much, just for work." she admitted with a small smile, tipping her head to the side as Globe Trotter checked out the mirrors stall; which looked quite charming.
Finally she landed her eyes on the stallion and little filly that approached. She couldn't help but get a contagious warmth in her chest as he spoke about the roses, smiling wider. He seemed so happy looking at it too, and joy was quite contagious. It was then that she thought to act again, giving a little concentration and a soft glow she drew water droplets from the air, gently placing several onto each one onto the flower's petals-- starting with the roses. She decorated them with shimmering drops of dew until each and every picked flower had a bit of water misted upon it to keep them fresh. She often thought the dew drops looked like diamonds, but maybe that was just her. "That's about all I'm good for." she laughed a little in Cobalts direction, as she'd mentioned how little magic she could do.

Shadow looked at forest with great surprise in his eyes. "I ... can't, she vanished along with my father several years ago after going to a dragon migration festival." He said turning down the flowers, he wiped his left eye of a tear that unexpectedly formed. "Besides I couldn't go look for them if I wanted to, I've got a little sister to take care of." He said smiling for the first time in years. "By the way, the name's Shadow fire, but you can call me shadow" He said as he pulled out a small peace of metal from a bag he had been carrying on his left side, which was designed to look like a Tiger Lilly with a sapphire the size of a ping pong ball adorned on the middle of the flower, it was so well made that from a distance it would look like the real thing, and on the base it simply said "enjoy life to the fullest "" How ever you can have this as a gift." He said handing it to forest smiling.
Asch was more than excited for the Hulabaloo, as a matter of fact he staied in Ponyville the night before just so he would be rested enough to make it. He glides happily on the wind, "Maybe this is the year I meet that special somepony... just maybe...." He smiles to himself, his mind wandering... Not really focused on where he was flying. BAM!!!! Right into on of the apple trees causeing them and him to topple to the ground. He blushes feruoisly as he tries to make his way out of the apple pile.

As the sound of apples hitting the ground was made shadow turned and looked. "Oh no." Shadow said placing the forged decoration on the table and going over to help the Pegasus in the apple pile. ad he got over there he began to move some of the apples to help the Pegasus underneath. "are you ok, miss?" Shadow asked as he continued to move apples out of the way, not realizing that the Pegasus was in fact a guy.

"I'm FINE I'm fine...." He goans slightly as he manages to get on all four hooves, "I just have a slight problem with... stopping..." Thank you so much for the event, Cuddly! And Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! Just before he swept up the juggling balls, Gypsy glanced over at Globe Trotter to see her reaction to his performance. Did she like it? He was grateful to all the ponies who applauded and enjoyed his little display, but Globe's whistle and stomping of her hooves caused his face to flush.
Before anyone could notice, Gypsy dropped one of the colored balls. He dove to catch it. Though at first it seemed like an accident, it was soon clear that the action had been intentional. When the ball hit the ground, the impact caused it to burst in a colorful cloud of smoke, enveloping the pegasus who had dove after it. When smoke cleared, there was no sign of either ball or pony.
Having practiced the vanishing trick often, Gypsy easily dodged eyes with the distraction before ending up once more at the edge of the apple orchard. He shyly kept an eye on Globe Trotter, trying to summon the courage to step out from under the shade of the trees and go up to introduce himself. Before he could do so, though, she was already headed to a stall set up by the farm's entrance. Frowning, he crept along the outskirts of the orchard to try to get closer while at the same time staying out of sight. What kind of stall was this...?
Gypsy would have been horrified to find that it was a unicorn standing in the shade of his little booth. "Glass wares for sale," he called. "Looking glasses, drinking glasses, vases, bowls, mosaics, mobiles to catch the light! Glass wind chimes with the sound of heavenly bells! Glass of all colors, shapes, and sizes. Want a gift? Need something custom-made? Just ask and I'll be happy to accommodate. Find the perfect treasure to give a loved one for Hearts and Hooves Day!"
During his usual sales pitch, the glass smith heard the compliment from the nearby pegasus mare. "Why thank you, miss," he said, dipping his head in gratitude. "That means a deal coming from a pony such as yourself. If you've traveled as far as far as your cutie mark suggests, you must have seen a great deal of glass works on your travels. I'll bet you have a very keen eye for only the best of the best. Please, feel free to browse and let me know if there's anything in particular you're looking for." At the corner of his vision, Mirror Shards noticed a figure lurking and kept his attention on it. He didn't like whoever it was sneaking around like they were. What if they planned to steal from him? That wouldn't do at all.
Forest Frolic's face fell and she put back the flowers at Shadow's reply. "Oh...I'm so sorry to hear that," she said, her ears drooping. "At least there's still hope, right? Anything could have happened." She liked to stay positive when she could. Especially if they went on something as unpredictable as a dragon migration! As quite a curious filly herself, she knew a lot of things could have happened on an adventure that would have been unforeseen and prevented someone from returning home to their loved ones.
"Really? You can't take her with you?" Frolic asked, surprised. "My name's Forest Frolic. Nice to meet you, Shadow!"
Her jaw dropped in shock as he pulled out a tiger lily that appeared to be made out of metal. And it had a sapphire at the heart of the bloom! "This is extraordinary!" she cried, reading the words at the base. "Where did you find it?" She had to do a double-take when he told her she could have it. "Wh-what?! Wait, wait, no, I can't accept this!" she cried, marveling at the piece. "It looks too valuable! And I didn't do anything to earn it! Please, keep it for yourself. Or your sister, or your special somepony for Hearts and Hooves Day. It seems like it would make a perfect present."
"I wouldn't care if you were the Emperor of Equestria!" the blue-green pegasus proclaimed. "No one asked for your opinion in the first place. No one here has any ache to cure or injury to treat. You should keep your trap shut unless someone asks." He spat an apple seed aggressively off to one side before closing the distance between himself and the Canterlot unicorn. "Who cares about alchemy? Obviously you don't know as much as you think you do."
He took a deep breath and recited, "Melons are good for digestion because the water and mineral content help eliminate excessive acidity, which interferes with the process. The carotenoid in the fruit helps prevent cancer. There's also an anticoagulant found in it called adenosine that stops blood cell clotting that leads to strokes and heart disease. Collagen content keeps coats beautiful, firm, and heals wounds quickly.
"Melons can cure kidney disease and eczema as well as relieve heartburn with all their water, vitamins, protein, calcium and phosphorus. They can calm nerves and stress with their soothing effect and most of all, they taste wonderful. So next time you say they don't have much use besides base and flavoring, think about that, Mister Magistrate."

[OOC: Such pretty boxes ;w; Trot'll take 5!]
The green pegasus lifted her head as the stall owner spoke to her, his words making her laugh softly. Yes, it was true she'd been many places and seen many things, including other artisans who worked with glass, but she'd never seen mirrors quite like these before.
"There's some fabulous glass blowing artisans in some of the big cities, but your mirrors are exquisite! It's like I'm looking at another me, not just my reflection," she added as she stepped closer, mindful to keep her wings tucked tightly against her back. She hummed thoughtfully to herself as she spotted one that was a bit smaller, but was distracted by a movement in one of the larger ones. She lifted her head to look into the mirror and spotted the pegasus who had performed just a few moments ago, only to disappear in a poof of smoke.
Turning around, Globe Trotter grinned at the spotted male warmly. "Hey! That's where you ended up! That was a great trick. I've never seen stuff of that caliber from ponies outside of a circus or show before."

"If you're going to use the words of others, make sure you use them all, child" Cobalt Lightning replied with little wait, after the pegasus went off in a bit of a rant. From the aggresive approach, however, the unicorn simply stood still. "I said little use in Terms of Alchemy. Over time, many food items have strong beneficial effects, but most sentient beings rely on potions and elixirs to be instant. I haven't had a need to 'bend' the law as others in the Guard have, but perhaps there will be an injury to treat yet." The unicorn's face appeared stern and stubborn, and he could feel his own pendant fill with negative energy. "After all, you are hindering a project I am attempting, but again it's in the magical nature. Given your attitude, however, your simple mind would merely dismiss it as impossible, should I explain. Not to mention, you further prove the negative reputation about Pegasi being stereotypically rude and rather ill-tempered, in comparison of the other two races." After that sentence, Cobalt Lightning put a hoof onto the opposite shoulder, onto his robe, in order to take it off quickly if he needed to. "I apologize if I offended you, regarding the fruit. Everything else I stand by from first impressions. And by the by, Equestria never had an Emperor, and its previous rulers are lost in myths and legends, but again its a subject you wouldn't understand."
The flurry of activity seemed to promptly spark itself into a whirlwind. Meadow decided to take her leave in that moment, not interested in staying to watch two full grown ponies brawl over the nice table of flowers. She rolled her eyes a little as she stepped away, men-- always finding something to fight about.
It seemed everyone else had paired off as well, the two pegasi by the mirrors booth, Forest and Shadow-- ah, but there was a newcomer buried in a bushel's worth of apples. She snagged up a large white lilly by chance and trotted over to the clumsy pegasus. She bowed her head and gently set it down in front of him. "Welcome!" she chimed with a bright smile now that her mouth was free, "Don't worry about it, I'm sure it happens all the time. I bet Applejack will thank you for picking all those apples huh?" assuming he was fine, which she thought she had heard a loud 'Fine" somewhere in there.
Yet another pegasus soared overhead, and like many he spotted the festivities from a distance. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but the pony never had any harm from it! With a flit of his wings he took himself down to what seemed to be the main entrance, landing with a few extra trots to keep himself from toppling forward.
He had originally intended stroll into the farm, but Mirror shard's set up proved too distracting--and that was very likely the reason he set it up there. But what harm could looking do? He supposed he should be impressed with such business prowess.
"Woah, those are crazy big..." he uttered without much thought, coming to peer at the butterflies adorning the rim of a particularly large full body mirror. "Does anypony really need a mirror that big?" he asked innocently, raisng his head to glance at the shopkeep. He seemed to realize the flaw in his comment, eyes widening a little. "I mean, I'm sure they do...! Sorry, I didn't mean it like that."
