"YES WE ARE TOTES MOON BUDDIES!" She was practically yelling at this point in her exuberance, gripping Viveca simply to keep from flailing rather than from letting her weapon down. This guy was the COOLEST. He was really sweet and nice and called her pretty! Perfect Otome Type, probably the cool guy who was popular with all the girls.

The swipe to her side made her cry out mostly because she could, not so much because it hurt, before she pushed out both arms in attempt to smack Dylon with the pole part of her scythe. She missed mostly, scraping along his forearms more than really hitting him, but it seemed enough.
A sudden glow began in the pink gem of Viveca's blade, a dull thing at first that didn't detract Abbi initially.
"I don't get to read too much manga, but I like it! I really like Sailor Moon and CLAMP's stuff, and this really sad one called Full Moon and-- What do you like?"
Finally, thanks to the ghost trying to speak louder than her headmate, Abbi finally stopped and pulled her scythe out to arm's length to look at it.
"Huh... She's glowing... Whaddya think that means?"

"She says she'll tell me."

"I like stuff from Shonen Jump, mostly." he said with a laugh. "Althooough my sisters always got me reading girls manga a lot." He'd admit he read it on his own later, probably. Best part? It was the overly romantic stuff that hooked him most.
"She will, huh?" He said with a chuckle. "Keep me posted."

"Like uh Bleach and what's it... The ninja one? Naru... Something?" Unfortunately, the overly masculine animes never caught Abbi's eye so she was a bit lost on those, so she could only give a self deprecating smile. But he mentions a sister and reading shoujo and the girl was back to jumping excitedly.
"Yeah?! Which ones do you like? Did you bring any with you to the Island?" That would be AMAZING.
"OK OK UM... She says... She says to... Hit you again?" That was... Strange, but ok. Abbi shrugged, her eyes still glued to the glowing gem that had begun to spin, but unable to really do much else about it if that's all Viveca was telling her. Well, telling her in between the random threats of violence and curses.

"Naruto? Yep! Both of those. And Fairy Tail, and..." Well, a lot of others. He grinned when she seemed to brighten up at the mention of girls comics. "Oh you know.. well.. High School Debut was a good one. Kimi Ni Todoke.. I have a few here from home, but a lot of them I'd read online." If loving a good girls comic was wrong he didn't want to be right. "I kinda like the shojo comics, because they focus more on the people rather than like.. you know.. SURPASS 9000 OR THE WORLD DIES sort of thing." He laughed at himself.
"Aha! Maybe she just doesn't like me~." He mused lightly, gearing up to attack again. He slashed at the girl once more, the runes on his katars suddenly violently bluer.

A hand left the scythe to snap once, quickly, and point at Dylon.
"Yeah! Naruto!" She grinned at him and went back to holding her weapon, only to let go so she could tap a finger to her chin. "I've heard of Fairy Tale but never watched it or anything... And I haven't heard of those others at all!" The horror! Abbi wasn't as big a geek as she thought she was! It had been all that time watching science videos about how the body digests food instead of reading manga! Wooeee and despair!
"Yeah, the girls are always about learning things and achieving your dreams and stuff!" She laughed, but was struck by the comparison. "It might be nice to have, yanno... A little shoujo at Deus. We're always trying to surpass level 9000 and save the world and it... I-D-K sometimes feels like we're training for the wrong things..."
Whoops!
"S-sorry, I'm sure she likes you! And if not, its ok! She hates everyone!" The teen laughed and fumbled for her weapon again, occasionally glancing at the still pulsing gem. "She even hates Ripley and Stormy and... I think the only one she doesn't hate is Cass." How sad!
"OH! Yours is all glowy too! Ooohhhh!"

"Eh? You haven't?" Well now he just felt silly! Disappointment crossed his features. "I can lend them to you if you want?"
"Well, if you want more shojo here, you have to do it yourself!" Dylon chimed happily. "Be the change you wish to see at Deus. Use the Shojo Bible to guide you forth!" As if such a thing existed. The Ten Commandments of Shojo Life.
"So it is!" Vahn growled something at him in his head, making Dylon chuckle.
Dylon was suddenly enveloped in glowing blue. It came and went in a soft fade. His cuts cleared away, and he felt invigorated. "Ooooh So cool!"

"That would be great!" She chimed, much happier now. Manga was so cool, how could you say no? And then they could talk about it together and it would be great and awesome and fun! YES. Perfect plan!
Not really sure how to react to being told she had to be the shoujo change she wished to see on Deus, Abbi had to stop for a second and process that. So did that mean... She could wear more frills and sparkle more and be happy for people? Not only that she could, but that she most definitely should?!
"What's the shoujo bible?" She asked, blinking wide, hopeful eyes at him. Dylon was totally changing her view on life and making her think being a Magical Girl was totally a possibility. Maybe love wasn't too far off too! Things could turn around for her too!
Where as Dylon had "ooooh"d appreciatively for the glowing, Abbi did so louder but mixed with a little bit of jealousy. His looked so cool and did stuff and his cuts were healed not fair!

The teen darted forward and tapped Dylon lightly with the edge of her blade. A teeny, tiny little light collected in the tines of Viveca's teeth. Experimentally, the teen reached out a hand toward it and it zipped into her palm.

"Uuuh no clue!" he admitted, "Make it up? With like.. tropes in the stories. Rules to live by!" Encouraging her was actually really fun. He wondered how far she'd take it.
Her light tap made him blink. That hardly hurt, yet Vahn seemed upset that she'd taken something. "Never unimpressive! You did a thing. Be proud!" Besides, they were still new, right? Heck, he didn't know he could even do that!
"Come on! Keep at it~" He cheered, taking another swipe at her to encourage it.

This was totally changing her mind on life. The idea that it was entirely possible to live one's life like a shoujo manga was blowing everything she'd ever believed out of the water. It changed everything! "Y-yeah... YEAH! Like... Like being kind is really important because everyone's got a sad past!" The swipe he made didn't even phase her and instead she once again lightly tapped Dylon with the edge of her blade. "And like-- You gotta look cute all the time, you never know when they'll be a heart event!" OK, so she was mixing shoujo and otome games, whatever. They were almost the same thing. She began to get more and more visibly excited, tapping him once more, a little harder. "This is the best idea! I can't believe I never thought of it!" Abbi laughed brightly and jumped up and down. "So do you live your life like its a manga or somethin' too?" HP: 22/40 DMG: 6 Charge: 1/3

"So does that mean you've got a girlfriend?" She asked, side stepping his attacks and butting his attacking hand with the pole. Abbi smiled at him and moved back a few paces, the better to try and swing Viveca with. While she had fought other trainees, those battles had not been as slow as this. The girl found herself starting to actually get winded and blamed Viveca's less than stellar Super Move for being the reason.
"Or... Do ya have like... A type?" Yes she was being nosey.

Any attempt at playfulness on Abbi's half was quickly halted once she realized she was unable to fend off or dodge the oncoming attacks. They were quite fierce, and though she had tried to laugh, she instead squeaked and whimpered when her shield began to rattle in the manner of nearing its breaking point. Maybe more training would be good since she was so bad at fighting... "Aw c'mon! Ya gotta have a type... Yanno... The cute, innocent type or the girl next door or the tsundere or princess type?" That was the best joke she could manage as she shook off the attack and totally forgot to even bother doing the same back. HP: 12/40 DMG: - Charge: 2/3

Despite being made to think, he didn't relent in his attacks, finding each opening and going for it.

"Are you... Sure?" Abbi laughed as she said this, but it didn't last long as the attacks kept coming. They were much fiercer than he'd attacked earlier and it took all her concentration to block them, which didn't work out at all. The blades kept moving around the staff to scrape at her hands, the shield making more noise as it got weaker. This battle wasn't going to last much longer, but she had to put up at least a small fight!
"Awww~ So what type am I?" She batted her eyelashes at him before she twirled the scythe and struck out at him.
