Nuts to that. Dominic was a fair jogger himself, though he probably didn't take it quite as seriously as Talia did. He usually had a big-ish breakfast after his runs, so the idea of having something "small" after any kind of workout was foreign to him. And he made a face at the idea and said, "If your idea of 'small' is a hearty breakfast meal at that coffee shop, then I'm in." His smile didn't falter, though, despite the fact that she'd volunteered his wallet for their prospective breakfast plans, and they simply jogged on until they made it to the waterfront.
By then, however, his extremities felt like jelly, his head was pounding, and the rest of him was just sore. The poor guy was beyond exhausted, so once they reached their destination he collapsed into the grass and, after spending a minute or two catching his breath, turned over onto his back. His eyes were closed but he was awake. "Hey, I'm really sorry but I might have to take a rain check on those plans 'til later, Tal," he started to say. "At least maybe 'til after I rest up a bit. I'm a little..." and Dom chose his words carefully, not wanting to alert her to the fact that he was seriously drained. It was probably a miracle he didn't collapse during their jog...
"Out of it," he eventually finished as he sat up. "Small meals aren't my thing anyway. How 'bout lunch later?" Dominic gave her an apologetic smile at that, then added, "Of course, I'm still buying."chimarii I hope this is alright~ Tell me if you want me to change anything, though. :] I'm good with the date going to another RP, if that's okay with you. ^^

Talia grinned, nodding at the idea of a meal at a coffeeshop (wherein she could just get coffee and he could eat whatever), but she didn't have enough time to imagine the date. By the time they made it to the waterfront, Dominic had collapsed, and Talia could do nothing but stare in alarm.
"Oh my gosh are you okay?" she said, leaning over to try and flip him over. If there was one thing she learned from her first aid training it was that you weren't supposed to let them lie on their stomach. "I told you not to push yourself!"
When he mentioned that he was just out of it, Talia's face scrunched up in concern, but there was nothing she could do if he didn't want the help. "C'mon, I'll help you up. My car is just a few blocks away, I can drive you home at least ..." She gave a sideways grin and added, "Of course you're buying~[/coor]"_p a o cx and i think we're great :'D <333
