"Keep the change, I owe you at least that much." Dom flashed a smile and got up out of his seat then, inhaling deeply as he did. Even though he didn't really share any of his problems the pie served as some kind of sugar therapy, so the teen felt a bit lighter. A bit...more okay with his jobless situation. He wasn't really in need of a job, especially considering his mom hefted most of his expenses anyway, so when he thought about that little fact it made getting fire (again) kind of bearable.
The pie eventually arrived, tucked safely away in a box with a convenient handle to make carrying it around easier. "Thanks for keeping me company. I'll probably be back once I finish this one," and he tapped the lid of the box as he said this. "Let's say...tomorrow." Dominic gave a little laugh then, obviously joking about finishing up that pie by then. He wasn't that much of a glutton...
It'd probably only be half-finished by nightfall.
