He released the breath that he did not know he was holding, it made him happy to know that Indi enjoyed his company and he did not bore her. He kept asking her those types of questions because he was unsure of himself, everything was new now and there was something happening inside of him. It was a feeling he could not describe, but every time he gazed at Indi his heart would beat faster and butterflies would appear in his stomach, if he was not such a social stallion he was sure that he would become shy around her. What was this feeling? Was he coming down with a sickness? Should he tell her that something was wrong with him? No, he did not want to worry her more or cause her more pain. “It is because of you I am able to see the world at all, you do not know how much all this means to me. You have forever changed my life.”

Indi bowed her head at his words, unsure if he meant more with them or just the being able to walk without tripping life changing event. She was not sure if she hoped for more from him, everything was in knots. Her heart and head could not decide what they wanted, revenge was a thought but she did not know the creature who had slain her father so it would be easier said than done. And what would it get her? It would not bring her father back, and it would cause her to lose Eyota and be just like the creature who had taken her father’s life. Her thoughts again entered the darkness, but with one look at Eyota she saw the light again. There was more to life than darkness and despair, and this stallion was going to show them to her. Perhaps her feelings for him will grow or perhaps darkness is her path, only the future knew the answer.
Together they set off toward the beach, their hooves clomping against the ground in a rhythmic song.
