Really, Ange? I'm sure there must be SOME PLACE in Oklahoma where you would wind up getting your picture taken! Or at least that's what I'd like to think.
Actually, the trick is be around people who are nuts for photography. I don't have a problem with that AT ALL... and that's probably why I get my pictures taken.

Not many people in the city I live in are 'nuts for photography.'

brokenclocks As I don't dress loli at this time, I don't have anything to contribute -- but I thought it would be interesting to create a thread wherein one could talk about some of their experiences while dressed loli. Like, your parents'/friends' reactions, people on the street, store clerks, etc. 3nodding how do you get those moons behind your avatar?

Last weekend I went to the pet store with my friend to play with the cats, but we ended up walking past The Shop (skateboard store) and I got so many whistles and stares from random "skater" guys. xd
Edit: Hey, that was my first post in the guild! XP Yay for lurking.

I've never gotten the chance to dress lolita. Chances are my family wouldn't let me though. o.O They're getting a little worried about my obsession with it.
And about that old guy... that. is. the. creepiest. thing. ever. >.<;;

I was wearing a Chinese dress and a girl was stareing at me and ponit at her, asked a friend "why she was stareing?" She didn't know. Later my other firend heard the girl said I "crused her".

Arteficial_Ange I most certainly have. When I say 'lolita' on a website, they immediately think of the Spanish word for 'young whore' and think that I'm so sex-addicted little girl wanting an old man. It's sooo gross! When I go out dressed lolita, many old men stare which is -very- unpleasant. One time I was dolled-up and I had my hello kitty back on and this old man barked at it! I was so freaked out I latched on to my friend and stayed very, very, very close to her. He barked at it. eek eek eek eek

I don't really have real Lolita clothes, so I wear cheap impersonations..>.>; But it more or less gets the same results. xP Dressing Lolita at my school isn't a very big deal because there are a lot of people there who dress goth or punk. Other than school, I have yet to actually wear anything Lolita-like in public...
My parents don't really mind too much.. my mom thinks it doesn't look nice and continues telling me that I have a wacked fashion sense. -_- My dad doesn't really care about what I wear. xP Still, to those who haven't dressed Lolita... Do it! whee It's still really fun. And funny to see people gawk at you. xd
Arteficial_Ange: O.o Old men.. That's.. very ... very scary.

Heh. Yesterday I was wearing an outfit that may or may not have counted as lolita. Maybe sorta a punkish lolita. I had a grey and green pleated kilt/skirt over pants with a clear green studded punkrock belt, black fishet shirt underneath a light blue button up t-shirt, and little pigtails....Um I think that's pretty much it...
Anyway, I had to venture into the mall to get some sticker making supplies (shiver. I can't figure out how people can just hang out in those places...) anyway, there was a big group of gothish kids hanging outside the enterance smoking.
It was really funny, like something in a movie. One of them saw me then sorta elbows one of his freinds and nodded towards me and they all turned and were checking me out with these really scornful expressions on their faces.
I don't know, I mean, you'd think that since they (goths) are supposedly so "counter culture" they'd be pretty accepting of different fashions, but I guess being counter culture is only ok if you dress exactly like them...or something...
Anyway, yeah, we ran into them again later on and they did the same thing... it was hillarious.
