Breaking the lock
Working with a locksmith seemed like a wonderful idea. It had been something that had been the thought that had been drilled into the young Klefki brain since’s its birth. All members of its family worked for the locksmith they seemed to be more than glad to hold and give up the keys that were created or the blanks for creating keys. Dagrun’s family seems to be so happy in giving up the keys to live a life with temporary sets hanging from them. It was almost like they were drugged or zoned out most of them time. They just continued to tell the young one how great it was to work for a locksmith. But was it really?
Dagrun was still young and had only found five keys that it never wanted to let go of. It did not like the thought of being told to give one of them up. They had been keys no one had come to claim or that had been lost and left in the basement to gather dust and cobwebs. The thought of having to give away any of the five made him terrified. Maybe it would have almost been better to never have picked one of them up than to have to face the fear of loosing one of them.
It was either risk giving up the keys at some point or maybe the easier reason would to be leave. The smith already had about five Klefkis working for him surly he would not miss such a small little klefki. Then Dagrun could keep any key it found. It could be free to build up the collection and never have to fear loosing one. Though where could it go once it left? It did not know anyone or anywhere it could go. In fact the small klefki had never left the small backyard of the smith’s shop. However the fence could only keep so much out and the young one was starting to find a wander lust building within it. It also helped that there was a large possibility that there were keys in need of a friend and some that were sure to be super rare or kinds it had never seen. And it would never have to give up those dear keys.
All it would take would be to sneak over the wall. It should not be too hard. And surly if all else failed it could find the way back here..and it could hide the keys safely so it would not loose any.
When the smith was super busy the little Klefki took a deep breath and slipped into the yard. It moved along the fence line and then finding the small hole it had slowly worked large it squeezed threw and out into the alley behind the shop. Little black eyes looked around, there were so many shiny things to be seen but so far there were no loose keys.
With one last glance to the fence Dagrun wandered off down the alley in search of the rare keys of the land.
