As Karayan got to the shoreline he made a few motions with his hands before lunging forward as far as he could... and landed on a pillar of earth that he dragged from the bottom of the water. He flailed for a moment, arms windmilling, before he started forward jumping to the next pillar and then the next. It was a rather rigorous use of magic, one he doubted he'd be able to do without so much adrenaline pumping through his veins, but he it was that very adrenaline that allowed to him do what he was doing. He'd like pay for it later, he was using a lot of energy, but it would be worth it if he could chase off the dragon and save the people on the boats. As he got close enough he jumped from one of his pillars onto one of the boats, the earth crumbling back into the water now that he didn't need it any longer. "Dragon... dragon... where is the dragon..." He muttered to himself, panting a little. He jerked his head to the wisde when he heard another scream, this one rather... familiar. His eyes went rather wide when he saw the Peisio dragon looming over one of the boats, shaking Madryn Col about as though he were some sort of rag doll... before the Orderite was suddenly sent flying, blood trailing along behind him. It took a moment for Karayan to really register what happened, his eyes going rather wide as he watched the dragon... swallow. It had... Madryn... it had his... his arm... and it... Golden brown energy whirled around the Gaili as he lunged forward again, his teeth barred and gritted, giving a snarl as he dragged a spike of earth up out of the water, directing it into the dragon's midsection. Maybe... maybe he could get the arm back? If he could maybe... maybe a healer... could they put it back?! His mind was racing before he heard a 'splash' sound that was followed by a lot of screaming from the others on the boats, people pointing toward where the ripples in the red stained water were located. Madryn... he hadn't been able to stop his fall he suddenly realized. He was probably in shock, unable to fly with those fluffy little wings of his... he shifted a moment on the boat, debating over what he should do, before he raced toward where the Orderite had gone under, "Abronaxus, guide me." He said before diving into the water after his friend. He wasn't exactly a master at swimming, not by any stretch of the imagination, but he couldn't very well do nothing. If he hestitated the Madryn might drown before he bled to death... he had to try to stop both of those things from happening, meaning that he had to find him. After he found his friend then... well, he could always use the earth at the bottom of the water to bring them to the surface since it would be unlikely that he could swim them both to the surface. Under the water, swimming best that he could, he set to searching around for his friend, hoping to find him in time.

Sueno sat on the deck, her back pressed into the ship's wooden rails as she watched the scene unfold in horror. All she could think was if only she could fly... if only she could have swam she could have gotten away and her brother wouldn't be bitten, wouldn't be bleeding so badly... wouldn't have gone over the side.... The dragon thrashed then stilled as the spire of rock through it's body slowly killed it. The adults remaining on the boat began to dive over into the water to collect those who'd gone over the side. Sueno crawled to the edge to look into the deep water, a stain of red floating in it. "Dyn-dyn." She whispered, tears overflowing. An adult nearby grabbed her before she could dive after her brother in a futile attempt to go after him.

orpheus solon Time to rescue Mad's biggrin The poor orderite boy was laying in the water, his life ebbing away from him despite what he would want. Somehow he had managed to get onto his back and keep himself vaguely afloat an stop himself from drowning. The water was cold, and all he could think about was how tired he was. Alarms rang in his head telling him that if he fell asleep now he may never wake up, that quite likely he would sink and drown here. But even with his eyes open his vision swam and with every beat of his heart he felt like it was becoming harder to resist the call to close his eyes. Blinking was horrible...for each moment his eyes closed he wasn't sure if he had the strength to open them again, and yet his body panicked at the idea of him drowning got him to open them..over and over.. Until.it was too much and he felt his consciousness slip away from him.

When Karayan finally spotted Madryn he couldn't help but to feel relief, mostly because a part of him was afraid that he might not find him. He hurried doggy paddled to where his friend was, wincing when he saw the wound he'd gottne. His arm... his poor arm... stupid Peisio dragons he thought to himself darkly, angry witht he fact that they had done such a thing to his friend. The rumors about them were true, they were a dangerous breed and one that he felt he needed to take on so that he could avenge his friend's lost arm! For now though he had to focus on what was more important, that being Madryn. He wrapped an arm around his friend, pulling him close, enough he made a motion with his free hand, dragging some earth up from the bottom of the lake to meet them. It pushed up them up and out of the water, allowing Karayan to spit out a bunch of it, before he turned his attention to his friend. Looking at him now, injured, unconscious, and so very pale it was strange how small Madryn seemed. He starred down at him for a moment, his head spinning... until he heard people yelling at him from the boats. Coming out of his spiraling thoughts he realized what they were saying. That he had to bring Madryn to them, that they needed to bind the wound if they would have any chance of saving him, that they had to get back to shore and find a healer. So many things were being yelled his way and all of the voices were mixing together into a din in his head. Pushing to his feet he scooped Madryn up, "It will be alright, Dyn-Dyn, I promise." He told the unconcious Orderite, jumping from his earthen perch to the boat, handing him off, watching as people started to bind the savage bite tightly. The wound needed preassure on it to stop the bleeding, from there they would need to get Madryn back to shore, back to the village, "I will carry him there myself!" He vowed to those around him. If that was what was needed then he'd do so. Stepping back to let them work he found himself looking around, a bit dazed, when he spotted someone else he knew, probably the last person that he wanted to see at the moment since it meant that she'd seen it too. It was Sueno... blinking a couple times he hurried over to her, looking her over, making sure that she didn't have any bite wounds herself, "Are you alright? Did it get you?" He asked in a rush.

Orpheus Solon How does one wrap an rp like this up? XD Karayan taking the tow of them to a healer? Sue's out of the question, she's too shocked to think straight or do anything right now, and Madryn's unconscious. Drat.. I have to write a sad solo now. Wah. I like happy ones better. Sueno stared up at Karayn, eyes wide with the shock of what she'd seen. She numbly shook her head at his question and got up to stagger over to where her brother lay on the boat's tilted deck. The people nearby were talking, but she didn't pay attention to their words. Her mind was circling around only one thing; Madryn. Her brother had lost his arm because of her, he was bleeding and hurt cause of her. The scene was vividly painted across her mind, the sounds and sight of the dragon lunging and Madryn's arm being bitten off. If only I could've flown. She thought, as if that would have made it better. She curled up next to Madryn, her head on her knees, arms wrapped about the legs and rocked back and forth. This was all just a really bad dream right? She'd fallen asleep on the boat and this.. this hadn't happened.

robot kitten If you want to post one last time for Sueno, Robo, I can wrap it in my next post with them heading for or arriving at the Healer's place. jayoku Enjoy Princess Madryn getting carried off by his handsome prince? *murdered* LOL Karayan was relieved that the dragon hadn't gotten it's teeth on Sueno but he could tell at a glance that it didn't mean that the creature hadn't wounded her. She was still looking shaken up, couldn't even speak, and was starring at her brother at the moment as the adults fretted over the unconscious Orderite. He looked around for a moment, wondering what had happened to the Peisio. He didn't see it anywhere, and the spike that he'd impaled it on had crumbled away after a time, meaning that it had either escaped or that the spike had killed it and both things had crumbled away together. He kind of hoped for the latter, not wanting to think that the creature had gotten away after it had savaged Madryn in such an irreversible manner. His attention was dragged away from where he'd last seen the dragon and back to what was going on with his Orderite friend. One of the people, an older Orderite female, was suddenly looking at him. He bliinked a couple times as she started to speak, telling him exactly how to get to the nearest healer. It would appear that with the condition he was in, as well as the condition the boat was in, that it would be quickest for someone with Karayan's powers to get him back to shore and to the healer. It was a responsibility that frightened him in a way. It was one thing to drag Madryn around on stupid adventures, it was yet another thing entirely to have his safety suddenly on his shoulders. Still, it wasn't as though he could say no, right? Even if the idea made him nervous he would bring his friend to the afore mentioned healer and make sure that he was healed to the best of that person's ability. It was one of those times he almost wished he was of the Peisio or Ysali clan, knowing they had healing powers themselves, but then again if he was of either of those clan he wouldn't have been able to help as he had today. Gaili was his clan and he would put those blessed powers to good use! Giving the woman the best smile he could muster he said, "I vow my Abronaxus's Horns that I will get him to the healer!" With that he moved over to Madryn who had been patched up best that he could be given where they were, and he scooped him up princess style. After that he walked over to where Sueno was, taking a knee, "Come on, up on my back, we need to get going." He told her, knowing that he couldn't just leave her behind, she was sure to panic if he did. He wanted to keep her close, knowing that if Madryn were to wake up before they made it to the Healer's place that Sueno might be the only one to be able to calm him down.

Orpheus Solon Guess this is a close! Yay! Now we get to have other prp's XD jayoku Hope you don't mind me making him stay behind in the town while the healer make's sure he' actually healed. FYI: The farmers of this area gather together after this to hire the Guardians to come in and exterminate the Dragons about here. Children and adults have been hurt where it was supposed to be safe-ish. (used this as a prompt idea to tie some characters together and give a prompt to Reamos who has joined the guild. Reamos (and an Ord slightly older companion) will be at Sue/Madryn's place to help with plating as well as guarding the farm in case the dragon's try to retaliate from the extermination that is about to take place. Other farmers have other guardians helping out and guarding. Sueno looked up at Karayan and crawled onto his back silently. To shocked to do anything other than follow orders she stared down at her brother lyign in his friends arm's as Karayn took them back across the lake to the town and healer. The town was small, but also the main area for farmer's to trade, which meant that Sueno and her brother were known here if only as Liopa and Veran's kids. The healer, recognizing them, had word sent to their parents while she worked on Madryn's arm. There was nothing to do but cauterize the wound and make sure the stump didn't get infected. To reattach it with out blood magic meant far more power than the healer had.... Sueno clung to Karayan through out the process, head buried into his back where she still clung. It wasn't until her parent's arrive, tired from the fat flight here, that she stirred and finally started to cry. While Liopa comforted her daughter, Veran thanked Karayan for his help and talked to the healer about what to do with Madryn. Madryn would have to stay at the healers for a bit while they waited till he was a bit better, so while Liopa stayed behind to be with their son, Veran flew back hoe with Sueno. Planting season was upon them, and they needed to start soon... and maybe planting would help get Sueno's mind off of what she'd just seen and help her cope.
