Melvin really wasn't sure where exactly in the basement Rep was, adn so went down the steps, looked around, brought out his phone for better lighting, and then called out into the darkness. "Hello? Rep?"
Why was he down in the basement?

Rep called Melvin down into the dark. "Down here man, this room along here, the one with the lantern." he held it up so the light spilled into the hallway. "We are clearing out the hoard. You can come help if you want."

He saw the flickering light further down the hallway, and touching the wall, started to make his way over - pausing only at the mention of cleaning the hoard. Was it true? Was it really true? Was Rep finaly realizing that his hoard was just a mass collection of outdated consumables, animal furs, and various unkept parts that were clustered together into one rotting, disorganzied and unsanitary mass? He felt relief and both excitement at the idea of his hoard being trimed down and sanitized. That very room had sometimes crept in like a nightmare to him late at night, when he couldn't sleep, to remind him that only a few rooms away, a mess he could not access and clean was sitting - rotting - creating fumes and other airborne monsters that he had no ability to destroy.
Melvin would be sleeping easier now.
He would have hummed his way over if he wasn't sure it would have been very loud and noticable in the hallway, and instead settled for a little smile as he walked into the lite room.
That smile did not last.
Staring at a mass of - he wasn't even sure - he could only just stare as he tried to figure out what was going on. It then dawned on him that Rep's hoard, usually in his room, was in the basement. "What...why is....what is that?" He said, pointing to some unknown matter on what he was going to assume once was a cardboard box.

Rin arrived on the tail end of Melvin disappearing into the dimly illuminated catacombs. She kept her distance if only to appear aloof and uncaring about the whole thing. In reality, it was strange seeing Rep inviting Melvin into such a.... eh... untidy space. What was he up to? Did he even know she was coming too? Then Melvin stopped and she leaned closer, placing a hand abruptly on his shoulder.

Melvin might have screamed at a unknown hand touching him from the dark. His scream might have been rather high pitched and very far from masculine. He might have also swore a few times, summoned Saliva, and was now pointing it at Rin.

"Yo," Rin pointed a finger gun at Saliva in reply and winked at Melvin. "Lookin' good." They were now even.

Rep looked up when he heard Melvin at the door, raising a brow at the question. "It's bug guts, don't worry, we killed them all." He donned his abbatoir apron and knelt down to mess with some of the mug boxes, expecting Melvin to join them and get to work.
When Melvin instead screeched like a little girl, he jumped to his feet from where he was kneeling, almost summoning Tracey in surprise. He squinted, glad of the night vision his artifact provided him and figured out after a few seconds what the ******** was actually going on.
"Can you two no ******** about down here? It's kind of dingy and creepy."

"Mostly bug guts," Jordan clarified. "If you want to know in more detail, you'll probably have to take samples. I wouldn't recommend it, myself. I've decided I don't want to know."
He saw Rin's little surprise a moment before it happened, but Melvin's screech still made his hand twitch towards summoning out of sheer reflex. "It's a good thing you didn't do that to one of us," he observed dryly.

Rin snorted, "Nobody has a sense of humor 'round here, or revenge for that matter." She abruptly bumped past Melvin to see what this was about better. "Hey, what is all this?"

Holding his chest, he lowered his gun and just looked at Saliva. "Don't EVER sneak up on me in the dark." He took another deep breath, checking to make sure he could still feel the right side of his body and that he didn't have a stroke. When all things seemed clear, he desummoned Saliva, tucked the pen behind one ear, and turned to regard the mess again.
"Why is your stuff down here now?" He knew why there was bug guts. He had come down for the party in the basement a while ago too and had seen the big bugs. It had sent him into a panic attack and he quickly left without being much assistance. At least now he was assured all bugs were dead.
Moving into the room, he looked at the goo that covered most things. "Are you sure you want to keep all of this. This gunk is pretty much over everything." He wondered what would even get it off. He cringed when he looked over one box. "I could bring some cleaning stuff downstairs for everyone to use. Maybe some gloves." He said, turning to look at everyone.

"It's the hoard." Rep said in response to Rin, declining to comment on people not having a sense of revenge - he felt like his sense of revenge was alive and kicking, and it went without saying that sneaking up on him was probably a bad idea. "Don't take anything, throw anything away or rearrange anything without going through me first. But I could use the help to clean it up."
He shot a glance at the arm lamp, considering hiding it before thinking the better of it, drawing attention to the thing intentionally might not be the best course of action.
"Its down here because H put it down here. I thought he destroyed it all. And I want to keep as much as ******** possible, so cleaning it up is a really good idea, you are the guy who knows how to clean s**t, I figured you'd want to be part of this ******** debacle. We have twenty four hours if we are ******** lucky."

Rin glanced back at Melvin with a slight smirk, "Then don't ditch me assuming I wouldn't help my boyfriend and my best bud?" She walked with an exaggerated swagger at the farthest stack of boxes and began poking through them. "So basically; we are going through the boxes for what's salvageable and cleaning what is and placing them into clean boxes?" Rin did not yet seem to notice the lamp, her focus on how best to organize such an event and the items themselves. She bobbed her head a bit. "I think we need clean untainted boxes for starters. Where is this all going? Is it ready with shelves and drawers and hangers?" That was her buzz.

"We've got the boxes going," Jordan said, and thumped one of the fresh boxes with the side of his boot. "Got a stack from the quartermaster before we came back down here." He separated one of the old, gooey boxes from its stack, taking care not to tip anything over, and pried it open, grimacing a little.

"I'm surprised H didn't take it for himself or sell it. That or just use it to trade things he would want. Then again, letting it rot seems lazy too. Why not give other people work." He said, in no way a fan of his division's lead.
Moving to a box, he regarded the gunk and what would best be used to get rid if it. Something that could cut through something slimy, but still not acidic enough or toxic enough for them. The furs would need their own treatment, and any consumables would need to be assessed if they were even safe to trade.
"If we're on a time limit, we should prioritize. The stuff you most defiantly want out on this side and the stuff that, if your time is up, you wouldn't feel to badly over loosing." He turned to Rep. "So you need to rank these boxes. We can worn on cleaning the must haves and if rushed, can just box the rat quickly and move it out last minute. We can really clean all of this when we have better light, ventilation, and don't have to rush." He wondered about the time limit.
"Why 24 hours though?"
