Mismatched eyes narrowed on the dark skinned Oblivionite. “I’m what?...” Erionda drawled, her tone threatening as she considered what the words meant. What sort of implication did this involve? She was a hybrid, being seen in the public would be a death sentence now more than ever. And would grow even worse as time progressed through until her child was delivered. She swallowed back a rise in bile at the thought. Would Kilian have the strength to withstand the judgment this very action would call upon him? Would he be able to protect her from those to came calling for her head?

Gripping the edge of the table Erionda’s magic burst to life. Frost spread from her fingertips as she looked away from Kilian. Her face grew pale as she seemed to find herself distantly away from her own conscious mind. Pregnant meant she was going to have a child. She had wanted children. Wanted to carry Kilians baby and now he had granted her that gift.

Her shoulders sagged as she let out a sigh and pulled her hand away from the table. Staring down at her fingers she moved to touch her stomach. A baby. She had never had children before, but had seen the effects is caused on mothers. They went through so much pain, too hot, too cold, too this too that and then there was the hunger. Her face continued to pale as she swayed in the chair.

“You did this to me.” Erionda felt her voice break as she spoke. She wasn’t sure if she should be overjoyed or miserable about the situation. At least she could count on the protection of the mountains of Aisko. Her arms wrapped protectively around herself. Withdrawing into the safety of her own mind. Fears echoed all over her face, closing her eyes Erionda shivered. Was Kilian going to leave her now? Curling in upon herself she sank into the closes chair, trying her best not to cry out. Her head reeled with confusion.

Junjie gave a soft chuckle at Kilian's words before he nodded, "It's more your place then mine." He explained, knowing that while he was one of Rio's friends that Kilian was far, far more, enough to her that they would make a child together he thought to himself. When Kilian declared that he wasn't leaving he couldn't help but to smile a little, glad to hear such words from the Oblivionite. Nothing against Kilian personally but it was good to see that, when faced with the prospect of having a hybrid child, the other man wasn't going to flee. Junjie felt that there likely weren't nearly enough people in the world that would do the same.

The healer fell silent, watching as Kilian moved to take Rio's hand, letting her in on what Junjie had found and what Kilian had caught on to. Glancing between the two he couldn't help but to wonder what it was that the little one might look like. It was really anyone's guess he supposed as he continued to watch, wondering if perhaps he should excuse himself? This did seem to be a personal matter after all, he'd done his job as a Healer, let them know what was going on, and he could very well duck out until they needed him again. Should he head to the barn? Hang out with his drakein until the moment where he was needed again? Thoughts of leaving were right out though when Rio was suddenly looking a little faint, having to grasp onto the table to keep herself from tipping over.

"Ah... Rio?" He murmured, a look of concern showing on his face as his friend took on a rather pale look. Was she going to pass out? Was the news to much for her? Should they have had her sit down before Kilian let her know what was going on? She started to sway a bit and the healer took a couple steps forward, as though to be there in as a backup in case he fell over away from Kilian instead of toward him... luckily though that didn't happen. Instead she was able to get herself into a chair, something that had him sighing in relief. He had worried there for a moment that she might very well lose it... and she was still looking quite pale. As she murmured about how Kilian had it to her he blinked a couple times, wondering if maybe the news was... bad news? It would appear that it wasn't really a planned thing but surely something like this couldn't be bad news? Then again they were talking about a hybrid woman having a very mix blooded child, one that would span all three races, it was something to worry about given how many people hated them just for existing.

He glanced over at Kilian for a moment then back to Rio, moving to kneel down beside her, "Are you going to be alright? Do you think that we should help you to lay down? Do you need anything?" He asked in a rush, doubting very highly that his healing powers would be of any use to her at the moment but if there was something else that he could do for her instead he'd gladly do so, "If there is anything you need I can get it for you, that way Kilian can stay here with you." He didn't want to appear as though he were overstepping his bounds, he just wanted to help, to see if there was anything he could do to help perk his friend up. He didn't like seeing her upset and if he could help make it better he would do what he could.

Kilian flinched slightly at the tone of Erionda's accusing voice. He bit his tongue, however, knowing that the news was a shock to not only him but her as well. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, letting it out slowly once his lungs had filled completely up. He listened to Junjie speak before saying anything himself, happy that the man was offering to lend his hand so that Kilian could stay by Rio's side.

His gaze went back to Rio and a small smile could no longer be held back "A baby, Rio...aren't you happy?" Kilian moved so that he was in front of her.. He turned, reaching his hand up and letting his fingers brush across her cheek. "Rio, this is wonderful news. You are not on your death bed and...and a child. Our child!" His hand moved from her cheek and traveled down to lay against her still flat stomach, fingers spreading to cover. The smile slowly turned into a grin and with Junjie, temporarily, forgotten Kilian leaned in and placed a quick, but heated, kiss to Erionda's lips.

"By gods, I could not be happier." Kilian leaned back, the shear joy evident on his face. He had never dreamed of children before Erionda. Slowly, over time, he had begun thinking about it but had never dared bring it up to her. "A family Rio...our blood. I love you so much Erionda."

Erionda sniffled as Junjie began to speak. His questions and concern bombarded her mind, laying aside her thoughts of being alone. That was right, if Kilian did end up leaving her, she still had friends to turn too like Junjie. She wasn’t alone in this after all. She gave the male hybrid a grateful smile. Letting the walls she had thrown up in a instant slowly work their way back down. Swallowing a great lump that had formed in her throat with the news her mismatched eyes snapped towards Kilian as he moved. Her heart thundered in her chest painfully as she waited to see what he would do.

Twitching uncomfortably as Kilian moved in front of her, a deep blush appeared on her face. His proximity was always intoxicating to her. Send her body reeling like a puddle on the ground, she held no defenses against him. And yet she struggled to hold them up, Junjie was still in the room. And while she trusted the hybrid, she was stubborn enough to refuse to let anyone see her weaknesses. His voice penetrated her fears, shattered her defenses with his question. Happy? Of course she was happy! She had wanted nothing more than to have the chance to carry Kilians child. But was this too soon? What would the world think of a hybrid that had all three races inside them?

The heated kiss was more than welcome, albeit unexpected against her lips. It pushed her very fears aside as he touched her. Blushing harder Erionda tried not to react as intimately as she wanted too. Junjie was still right there, and she couldn’t help but think how uncomfortable it would be for the man.

Clearing her throat she smiled briefly at Kilian with a nod. “Yes love, I’m happy to have a baby but…” Breaking off she turned towards Junjie. “I don’t know the first thing about what I’m supposed to do.” She didn’t want to admit her vulnerability, her lack of knowledge, but she had no choice. If she wanted the best for their child she would need to learn how things were done. Placing her hand over Kilians she trembled as she waited the hybrid healers knowledge.

Once Kilian approached, Junjie withdrew, giving the couple their space, so they could talk over the news that Junjie had delivered. He had done what he could as a friend and healer, now his part would be to stand by and wait to see if he was needed again. If not he could always dismiss himself and allow the to decide what it was that they wanted to do next. From time to time he'd give them a slight glance before looking away, not wanting to appear as though he was watching their private moments. How embarrassing... I really should leave the room he found himself thinking, even taking a step in that direction before he heard a statement from Rio that seemed to be aimed at him. It was one about her not knowing what to do next and he found himself turning to face his friend and her loved one once more. He couldn't exactly leave now, could he?

Giving the two a glance he shifted in place slightly, clasping his hands behind his back, "I can't say that I know all of the details, I mean I met a few Orderite women that my mother was caring for when I was still living at home, but I didn't really get into the process in a hands on way. It's mostly what I learned from asking questions of my mother between their appointments." He explained, "Mother didn't want me mingling too much with the patients because of what I am, she was afraid they might flip out or something." He made a bit of a face at the thought but shoved such thoughts aside.

"What I do know is that you will need a lot of rest, to avoid stress, eat healthy foods, and vitamins would be useful too though that would mean going to a alchemist. Perhaps some herbs as well to help settle your stomach. My mother also spoke of how sucking on hard candy would aid with that as well." He mused before he asked, "Is there a town around here? Or on Aisko in general?" Maybe he'd have to travel further to pick things up for her? He could use his magic to bring him back to Serenia if the need for such a trip arose meaning that Abellio and Arjan would have to stay here, something that wouldn't go over well with them he was sure but it would be for the best.

Kilian’s breath caught in his throat, glad to hear that Rio was happy about having a baby with him. He had been worried, for a second, that she had been unhappy this had happened. That she was regretting, already, being with him. He brought his other hand up, placing it on top of the one Erionda had placed over his other and and squeezed, letting her know, just by touch, that he was here for her.

There was so much they would need to do. So much preparing and supplies were limited. They were ould need more stuff and sooner rather than later. His gaze turned back to Junjie as he spoke, taking in every bit of information and storing it in the back of his mind for later use. Kilian blinked at the last questions asked. A town? On Aisko? Kilian wasn’t really sure, he hadn’t had much time to explore since moving here. He turned back to Erionda, a question on his face. “I’m...not sure. Rio, you’ve been here more than me. Are there?”

"They are all full of seeds for brains." Erionda muttered in a low growling tone. She didn't like the fact everyone was wound so tightly about hybrids, now not only was she a hybrid but her child was bound to carry a part of each race. An even bigger abomination than herself. Her arms twitched with the need to wrap protectively around her center. She was carrying a hybrid child. Kilian's child. A product of the love they shared together.

Eye's snapped towards Junjie almost threateningly. Rest? Sleep? Avoid stress? Eat healthy? And what in the world was an Alchemist?? If they even dared to lock her up in bed someone was going to loose a limb or two that was certain. She could feel the rumble of distaste within her chest. No sitting around was the last thing she would be able to do. It was a complete opposite of her very nature. She HAD to be hunting sometime? How long was she expected to stay 'resting'?

Pointing to the cuboard's Erionda tried to take a deep breath to calm her out of control emotions. "There are some herbs I keep in the cuboards. More I've been growing in the barn out back. Where the twerps chose to run and hide." Erionda yelled the last part hoping the bonded companions could hear her from where she was currently sitting. The feeling of Uassae's mirth across the bond only fueled her need to stomp out after him.

Now Junjie was mentioning other strange things. Candy? What was that? Hard things didn't belong in the mouth they broke teeth, it's why she didn't chew on bones like her bonded's. "Aisko doesn't support a town. What little does come here is at the docks. It's hard for anything to survive out here. It's too cold for anything to grow except the dragons. And maybe some wild game." The thought of meat made her mouth suddenly water.

Kilian's hand squeezing on her's pressed at her heart and she turned to look at him. Did he know she was uncomfortable with this situation? Did he know it was going to be like pulling teeth from an Aeduan to keep her locked up inside? How far was he willing to go to keep her within the house she had painstakingly built?

Junjie gave a nod of his head, "I am inclined to agree though it might seem a little biased of me to say so." He said, knowing full well that as a hybrid he had a lot more at stake when it came to those 'seed for brains' people. Now though Rio and Kilian would have even more at stake since they had a little one on the way. If nothing else at least they were living in a place that had a lot of natural defenses against any fools that might want to come here to hassle them. Not to mention that he knew how dangerous Rio could be, add in the whole mother protecting her young aspect and he felt almost bad for anyone stupid enough to come here with ill intentions.

When his friend set to glaring at him, obviously displeased with some of the information that he was offering up, he gave a little laugh and said, "It's for your own good and that of your baby, I know it doesn't sound like fun but you should still consider it." He told his friend, then glanced over at Kilian and said, "Good luck." The Oblivionite would need it, "If push comes to shove maybe Uassae can sit on her to make her rest." Though he somehow doubted that the Drakein would do so since he was so quick to flee to the barn earlier...

Junjie listened closely to what Rio was saying, about where she kept the herbs that she had, where she was growing other ones, and he nodded, "I will look it over to see what you have that will be useful for your current condition." He said, then at the mention that there wasn't a town, just a dock, he gave a nod, "Then I think a journey to Serenia will likely be in order." He mused to himself, before quickly adding, "Just for me, of course, you will likely want to rest up. I want to make sure that I get everything that is needed and the best one to talk with about it would be my mother. She will be able to help me to gather everything that you will need. Well, for a time at least. You will be carrying for a while after all." He couldn't very well bring everything she would need in one trip but at least he could bring the basics and it would help Rio and Kilian to figure out what else they might need.

"If I could ask a favor of the two of you? If I am to go to Serenia I will do so using magic. The problem being I can only transport myself. If Abellio and Arjan can stay here with your Drakein until I get back it would mean the world to me, I prefer knowing that they are safe when I am away from them." He said, walking over to where he'd set his things down. He would need to empty out what various treasures he'd gathered but didn't need when he got home, he'd then gather up all the various supplies he needed and return, all as quickly as possible.

Kilian's forehead wrinkled with worry. He knew it would be hard to keep Erionda still, let alone cooped up in the house. He was more than willing to take on as much responsibility as he could manage. Amadia would just have to help him out more. 'Isn't that right?' he asked through his bond with his drakein. A snort came back in response though he knew that she would do everything she could to help as well. "You'll need your rest Rio," he said softly as he gave another squeeze to her hand. "I know it will be hard but that is what I'm here for. I can hunt. As can Amadia. I can take care of the hasatar and anything else that we may need." His lips lifted a fraction of an inch in each corner.

"I'm not saying complete bed rest just take it easier," Kilian said as his gaze traveled back to Junjie. "It is much appreciated Junjie. We owe you. Of course we'll watch you're drakein. It's the least we could do. Thank you." He hoped that Erionda would not mind that the drakein stay behind. There was plenty of room in the barn for them and after all, Junjie was doing a great favor for them. They would need all the help and information that he could give them. They were both new to this.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 02, 2014 11:46 pm

Kilian was answering Junjie's question before what he was really asking had sunk into her head. Her mind was completely focused on the fact they both seemed to insist she stay safely inside. It was also completely possible for the Drakein to stay with her while Junjie had places to be. There was plenty of space everywhere. Proof of her hard work finally showing.

The feeling of bile rising back into her mouth made Erionda feel queasy. Her face grew pale as she looked up at Kilian with an almost pleading look for him to understand she was sorry. Bolting from the place she was currently sitting she moved away from the two men in the room. Sinking down as dry heaves pressed against her. At least she had managed to save either Junjie or Kilian having to witness anything.

Trembling for a moment Erionda pinched her eyes closed. Her hand settled on her stomach. A baby...

Kilians!

Taking a deep breath Erionda pushed back to her feet. Smoothing the wrinkles of her clothing and looking back towards the room her friend and mate were in. Her heart felt like an invisible force was strangling it, stealing the breath out of her lungs as her hand ran across her stomach. This was really happening. Her eyes caught in the reflective surface beside her. She was really pregnant with Kilian's baby. And she had insensitively given him flack for impregnating her.

A soft sound at the door forced Erionda to shy away from the wood separating her from the rest of the world. Her arms instinctively and protectively wrapped around herself. Her magic reacting to her emotional and irrational fear. Crystals formed across the mirror a signal of where her magic was releasing in waves.

Junjie gave a smile and a nod to Kilian, "My thanks." He said, glad to know that Abellio and Arjan would be safe even though he could already hear their protests through the bond he shared with them. They weren't too keen on the idea of Junjie leaving without them but he felt that they would understand in time, "I will be as quick as I can." He didn't want to leave everyone alone too long after all, not when he was fetching supplies that he hoped would help to make Rio feel better. The need for them seemed to be made only that much more clear when his fellow hybrid seemed to go pale before racing out of the room.

Giving a little wince the Ysali healer hurried to pick his things up, slinging his pack over his shoulder, carefully so as not to squish any of his wings, before he pulled on his cloak, and took up his staff, "I will be as fast as I can. Now that I know where this place is travel will be much easier." Though with the way that the snow storm was acting outside, seemingly growing a lot stronger, he found himself turning to look in the way that Rio had gone. There was a part of him that wanted to go after her, to check on her, to see if she was alright... but it wasn't his place. It was Kilian's place to check on Rio and his place to travel back to Serenia so that he could the much needed supplies that would help to make his friend feel more at ease with what she was going through, "Goodbye for now, Kilian."

Taking in a deep breath, one he let out slowly he closed his eyes a moment, "Abellio, Arjan, I need you to behave while I am gone and keep a look out. If Uassae needs anything you two are to help him." He told the pair before he stepped outside, closing the door after himself before he set to gathering power to his staff. Even with as cold as it was it was better to expose himself to the elements instead of exposing Kilian to Aeduan magic. Letting his eyes close he concentrated a moment more, the white light of the spell gathering about him before he was gone, traveling at a rapid pace toward home using his Ball of Light spell. The sooner he got home home to gather provisions for Rio the better.

Kilian gritted his teeth as he watched Erionda rise and quickly retreat to the bathroom. A small curse ran through him at his helplessness. His gaze jerked back to Junjie as he moved. He listened as the hybrid talked. "Goodbye Junjie. Travel safe." As the hybrid disappeared out the door Kilian muttered a thank you as he turned on his heals and followed after where Erionda had disappeared to.

Erionda, his mate, his world, was now carrying their child. His child. Kilian had never imagined something like that possible. Had never really thought of children of his own, at least not often enough for her symptoms to click in his mind. It all made sense now, though. Her mood swings, being constantly sick. Pregnant. Rio was pregnant. Would they have a boy or a girl? How would each race manifest itself in it? Kilian didn't care, as long as the baby and Rio were safe and healthy, he would love them both to the ends of Magesc.

He approached the bathroom door cautiously, aware that Rio's powers were acting up some at the moment. The wind outside had picked up and he could feel Amadia's worry through his bond. He gave a soft rap at the door before opening and stepping inside the room. His gaze flicked to the mirror, noting the frosted surface before quickly moving to Erionda. His brows knitted together as he noted her arms wrapped around herself.

"Rio," he whispered as he moved in close. Kilian was at a loss for words. He was new to this too. He knew as much about babies as Amadia did but he would do his damnedest to help Rio out as much as he could. He was glad for Jujine, though. Traveling was the last thing he wanted to do. Erionda needed him there, with her. As he closed in on her, his arms came around her shoulders and he pulled her close, fingers tangling in her hair as his wings and tail came around her in a protective gesture. He kissed the top of her head in between telling her he loved her.

Erionda's heart froze in her chest. Gripped and missed a beat, tears streamed down her face. As her dual colored eyes settled on Kilian. Had he really come after her!? Stumbling backwards in an attempt to dodge Kilian before he could be hurt from her Magic Erionda's balance was corrected by several sources. The least of which were the eruption and appearance of two very distinct sets of wings. Feather's adorned the upper set while her leathery dragon like ones hovered tightly against the middle of her back.

Then there were arms to account for. Seemingly strong dependable arms of her mate. Wings covered her, blocked out the feeling of the room they were in. A tail that held her close. The feeling of warm soft lips on her forehead was enough to coax the rest of her pent up emotions from inside her spilling out beyond the surface. Warm salty tears streaked her face as she pressed her nose into Kilian's neck only to breath in his scent. Her fingers moved to separate the armor from his body. His protective gear made her feel like there was a large barrier between herself and her mate.

Her body finding it's familiar position against his, raising on her toes to kiss her mate Erionda shivered. She felt unsure about what the future would hold.
