He caught sight of the look in her eyes, and that was immensely curious in and of itself, a look of interesting flickering across Alistaire's face. He reigned it in, however, and gave a small shrug, winding the chains around his hands again.
"Sounds like a fun time to be had by all," he said, feeling one of Fini's sais catch his upper arm. The sound of tearing fabric alerted him to the small rip in his sleeve, and a jolt of irritation flashed through him, concealed by the mild expression on his face.
He resisted the urge to stop right then and there and instead kept moving, this time moving the blades in a wide arc towards her.
"Don't sound so surprised," said Alistaire. "I never said I play fair."

Riiiight. Fun. Is that what they were calling nearly getting killed these days? Poor b*****d was still such a newb.
"Well don't say I didn't warn you if you decide to go dancing with that hell spawn!" She said cheerfully enough, slipping under the blades reach. A tiny smirk slipped along her lips as she moved in close again, a sais at the ready.
"I definitely will keep that in mind." Fini purred, leaning a little too close, like maybe she was considering kissing him, before swiping at him again. "I certainly don't play fair!"

She was too close, too close. He fought the urge to shove her away, nausea rising in his throat as Alistaire clenched his teeth together. He swung the chains around and caught Fini around the wrist, tugging to see if he could drag her to the side.
"Fairness was never an option," he said lightly. "People who play fair are only limiting their options."

She stumbled to the side as her caught wrist was tugged that way. Her grip on her own weapon increased as she twisted the chain around once more to try and pull him off balance and trip him. Send him spiraling down onto the obviously dirty and unclean ground.
Fini had to laugh. "Complete truth! Glad there are still some hunter's with brains about here!"

He wouldn't let her drag him down too, Alistaire shifting his feet so that he could brace himself properly. The thought of getting close to the dirt on the ground was vaguely nauseating, though he held his composure with the strictest of regards, Alistaire smiling pleasantly at Fini.
"I like to think I have plenty of brains,' he said lightly. "Just one of my many talents."
He twisted, whipped the chains around, and slammed the daggers into the side of her FEAR shield.

She managed not to roll her eyes at him. How often had she heard that one before? Men, in her opinion so far, were idiots.
:: Glad we can agree on something~ :: The oh so silent Vashi decided to pipe in. :: And I don't like him. :: He huffed out a growl. That increased when Fini found herself not quite fast enough to dodge his next attack.
Fini flashed Alistaire a grin. "Just one of them?" She inquired, taking the hit with the faintest hiss of air through teeth before slashing back at him.
"I'm curious what these other talents of yours might be~"
