“Then it seems we may need to speak more often.” He replied with a dark expression crossing his face. “I think there is a time and a place for it, I think such things must be carefully done… that it is an art and that those who speak ill of it are likely those who truly deserve it.”


He just snorted about the tree though. “Something else from outer space, hmm… where I seem to recall you draw your powers from. Yesss… that tree must have been our fault, and the leadership in place at the time can’t have had ANYTHING to do with how it was dealt with.” He rolled his eyes conspicuously.

“I won’t say it would have ended differently NOW, not after that…vampire thing I faced… how about Elysion? What about the mass coma that befell the city? What about the elemental monsters that crawled free of the sides of buildings? NOT youma I can tell you that.”

“…and you’re not half as dark as what I wear… you still sport a good deal of white, Senshi. We could fix that though.”

“How can it be RIGHT to be granted such power as you are without pain? How is that going to teach you what it means when you –do- hurt others? Do you really think most of your side has any concept of what they do until the moment that they are screaming over an arm that has been snapped in two by an officer trying to keep them from killing him or her in the name of … ‘love, and justice’? How can any power be GOOD if there is no reminder of its own consequences?”

He shook his head frown deepening. “It’s too easy, far too easy to say “It’s good because it doesn’t hurt me’, but I dare say I could name a great many things in this world that don’t hurt the do-er, but do a great deal of harm to those that they use their own power against.”

“I know more of the pain of what you call ‘corruption’ than most of my officers, I have known fear, I have known loss of everything that defines me only to scrape it back together again, I have fought and earned for everything that I have received, though even now I don’t dare say I –deserved- it, I can at least say though that I was –forged- in that pain and I understand it. Perhaps that is why I could never be as cruel as I have seen the senshi be…for all that I am ‘Corrupted’.”

“I for one, I wish to gather all to my side because I see it as the surest end to war…Peace, uneasy peace may happen under separate banners… but it can not for us. So to end the war I fear there MUST be only one banner, and I would rather see a life saved by pain than lost entirely.”


"How many senshi have ever considered US misunderstood, when they would give that consideration to a MAD tree and its strange 'children'?"

“The tree sheltered you, tried to kill you, tried to kill civilians, but it’s a nice tree because part of the time it tried to shelter you.” He said with more than a little sarcasm.

“I will bring an umbrella next time.”

He shook his head then. “You aren’t organized because most of you are too proud to even try and follow orders, we are organized because we must be, because despite how … CHAOTIC your side of so called ‘order’ is, you are –dangerous, you can hurt us and badly…rot hearts out of chests, burn buildings down, run people through with great …DAGGERS of glass, cut throats without ever having to touch the person you’re hurting…and perhaps its easier that way. Never…ever to have to lay a finger on the person… I wouldn’t know. But we don’t recruit children either… “ He gave her an arched eyebrow.

“I know…blame the cats.”

“Which like so much else…” he waved a hand at her black corseting. “Likely makes others think of you the same way they think of US… if you have to suffer for your power, how CAN you be good.”

“As for getting close enough… that can rather be more of a challenge than you would like to put it… lightly flit my way in past wild fires, hands that would rot my skin off… sand that would smother me, attacks that even make me question my sanity!” he waved his hand as though he were belittling such powers. “So…terribly easy.”

“If I wanted to FORCE the issue, yes, there are many I could do that to… more that I could not… I’d rather see someone join us because they thought, long and hard and came to the same conclusion that Albali did, that MuCephi did… that Lyra did.”

“So that doesn’t fit into the bucketed assumptions of so many senshi… because I’m not forcing, I don’t care to kill.. Honestly I rather dislike reaching for the star seed, no matter how it feels in hand. I would show you If I could… I wonder if that is what it feels like when you gain your powers… it would explain so much.”

He arched an eyebrow at her, nerve struck to be sure.

“I didn’t…” He let the words hang between them. “She walked into the waiting arms of the Dark Moon Court… she even seems, much… much happier for it. You don’t have to believe ME though, search her out yourself.”

“They aren’t trying to kill us, I do generally consider that a plus.” He waved a hand, filling in the gaps of conversation with the light hand gestures.
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend, I suppose it’s like asking why you don’t battle with the knights. Oh… yes, so many are sworn to missing princess and princesses, but really, what do you KNOW of them? The Dark moon planned to leave the earth, so last I heard from Ares, what do the senshi in general plan?”

“And if you could… would you bring it back? Even early on I can’t say you were organized, I find it …terrifying to see what happens when you are. I think even your own were horrified too…”

He let that reminder of those bloody days hang in the air.

“But if they understood as… individuals.”

Dangerous turn to think the senshi might grow organized. Dangerous indeed.

“The game depends on who you play with.” He remanded her. “Though I don’t know that you’re ready for playing chess with me, checkers perhaps.”
