This was a tough situation. His sister was the problem and whenever it was someone that close or even related, it was hard to move on past something like that. “Oh..that makes it even more difficult then.” She said lightly to the stallion feeling her heart hurt and she wasn’t sure why. Maybe she felt more sorry for him then she thought or it was the fact that she didn’t know how to really help him. She listened to him closely hearing his words and feeling as though it would take him a long time to find happiness, but it was possible. “Abra…I..” She paused feeling like this was the hardest conversation she had ever face before. She was so use to be carefree and childish, she never really thought of growing up. “Everyone deserves to be happy. Even if you have done the cruelest thing ever, you still can be forgiven and then have a happy life. It’s more so…if you want to be happy and if you do are you willing to overcome everything to be happy.” She said to him keeping her eyes locked with his. She could feel his sadness and she wanted to make him happy again so badly. “Maybe justice isn’t the way…maybe you should just cut off ties with her completely or..” She didn’t know if anyone could do this, but she felt in order for him to move on he would have to forgive her. “Forgive her. I know it’s going to be hard and you don’t have to listen to me, but..it might help you overcome this darkness in your life.” She nodded.

Then a smile lit up on her face from his words and she was happy he was trying to be more optimistic about this. “I am happy to hear that you will try..That makes me happy. Optimism is a good thing and it’s something you should always try to strive for.” She could see that the stallion was trying his hardest to be positive. It was a good sign because it meant he wanted his life to get better. It was definitely a good start for him. “Maybe some day you should talk to her..I think it would be a good thing or maybe I could talk to her for you?” She didn’t know if that would do any good, but the stress that came with hating someone was unbearable. Sometimes it ended your life before the other individual.

“Yes I think you can be happy. I think you can overcome this and be strong, Abra.” She smiled moving closer to him and giving him a small nudge. “Plus I will be there because I’m your friend and that is what friends are for right?” She told him nudging him lightly again as she walked a few feet away from him. “So now what should we do?” She asked him wiggling her tail behind herself and looked out into the distance.

"Forgive!?" Abraxas nearly spat out with the stroke he may or may not have just experienced, perhaps decades away from forgiving the evil mare he called his sister. He knew it wasn't a far stretch from what he should do, but since he couldn't even come to terms to forgive his own actions, her's was beyond question for the time being. Immediately ducking his head down he gave a long, drawn out sigh to calm himself. "I'm sorry...Berry...you're right. I do need to focus though, I think, on one step at a time. Myself...my mother, my brothers...and then maybe....her." Yuck, it still felt vile to even mention her in such an indirect way....but in the company of this little mare who opened his eyes in such a short amount of time to the life that was out there..

Who knew, such things could really be tangible on his horizon.

"I'd like...to see my mother again, someday." He said aloud, wistfully as he wondered how she was, hoping she and his brothers were alright out there in the vast world. It would essentially be a good thing to strive for, a goal if you would for the work he'd have to put back into himself for his own sake and for Berry's. When she'd moved close and nudged him he felt his face flush with heart, not really used to such tender gestures as Georgia was quite rough especially when she began to train him and his brother. He couldn't quite remember his mother's touch...so he would be lying if it made him a little uncomfortable...and enjoyed it as well. Nodding his head he attempted a half smile, which looked goofy in its lopsided manner.

"I'm really glad that you will be..." Abraxas knew he'd have to think of some way to repay Berry for her kindness, and her friendship. It seemed to him though that he had some time to figure out the best course of action for that though. For now, it seemed they could move past such a dark topic and onto normal life, which started with a question on what they should do. At the second nudge he blinked and turned his head quickly; that heat rising up once more on his nose. He thought back to his training, and if anything he did was remotely fun. He did remember that chasing game...used to hunt down someone incase they tried to run....while it was usually him doing the attack, he wondered....

Turning back he leaned his head and neck over and gave a light n** at her neck before taking off in a thunderous gallop across the land, looking back with a dashing grin on his lips. She seemed like a mare who was of quick mind...perhaps she'd realized this game of chase, unknowing to him called 'tag' amongst the foals.

Strawberry didn’t know if this stallion could ever forgive his sister. She was never in a circumstance like him and she couldn’t really speak from experience, but she knew that he needed some kind of closer. Even if it meant he would have to go speak to this evil mare in person, she would go with him as his support. As his shoulder to lean on if he needed that. For the first time in her life, she felt like she was doing something good for someone even if she couldn’t completely fix the whole entire situation. “You are right. One step at a time. Starting with you is the best thing to start with. You need to be able to forgive yourself before you can move on to anyone else.” She nodded to him hoping she was making some kind of sense to him. She never was really in a spot like this where she had to be mature. Where she had to act like an adult.

“If you do want to see her let me know. I can always go with you even if just for the support.” She smiled wondering what his mother was like. She was probably kind and gentle. Something she was use to as her two fathers were pretty calm gentle stallions. She noticed the flushed color in his face and giggled lightly. “Your cheeks are all pink and cute!” She told him at first not understanding why they looked that way, but she remembered her father telling her it happened when someone was embarrassed or sky about things. “Sorry I didn’t mean to laugh..My cheeks can’t turn that color or at least they don’t.” She didn’t know why they didn’t, but she was sure it had to do with her innocent personality.

She smiled, happy he was glad she was his friend and that she would be sticking by him for the time being. When she felt the n**, she was confused at first and she felt her face burn. Was that what it felt like to blush? She didn’t know, but it was a new feeling and the sight of the stallion running off made her grin a little bit. She knew what he was doing and she knew this game very well. It was tag and she was going to catch him or at least try to. She bolted after him with a wide smile permanently plastered on her muzzle. It had been a very long time since she played this game with someone. Most of the time she played it with herself pretending the butterflies were chasing after her.

“I’m going to get you~” She called out to him before nipping his mane gently. She giggled and ran off in another direction. She wanted to make him smile. She wanted him to never stop smiling because that pained expression was enough to break her heart.

"Ugh! Berry they're not cute." Abraxas felt himself, of course, heat up even more at not only being caught with that fire in his face - but called out on it so bluntly. It wasn't the end of the world, far from it, yet it would take some getting used to being with others again and having those simple bonds. He was so used to being lashed out at that such a gentle touched caused his body to react so quickly. Was this what normal life was? Kind, simple, and full of joy which made one's cheeks burn?

He wasn't sure, but he could only laugh - one without any holding back when he spotted her own blush. "See! There's just no such thing at not being able to!"

...although, it was kind of cute.

He held onto this laughter without reservation as it was his turn to put up chase, and before he knew it hours had passed...finding that he had really, years to catch up on of just being free.

------------------------ One week later ------------------------------

"Quick! Berry!" Abraxas yelled behind him, galloping through the plains as the torrential rainfall had begun; they needed to seek shelter in the woods. Above, the thunder began to rumble; lightning flashing and igniting the clouds with an eerie light.

It had been a whole week of laughter, fun, and running around like a pair of foals hyped on sugar cane. Truth be, his body was so very sore; but his mind refused to let up for a moment other than to pass out for a few hours in the evening from utter exhaustion. He also didn't think Berry would let him relent on their week long adventure so it was just the course of action he took. While they'd been content to play in the gentle rainfall with the skies overcast as they were; it seemed like only minutes till the sky was pitch black and the real storm began.

"Ugh! I'm soaked!" Abraxas groaned as he ran, his hair plastering to his neck and back of his legs uncomfortably. It was only a few more strides till he got under the protection of a young willow tree; old enough to allow protection from the rain under its tendrils but young enough they didn't quite reach the ground to allow some light in from under it. Once under Abraxas felt his breath whisp around his face as steam as the temperature had dropped since the torrent began.

Once he was sure all would be okay under the tree, he looked back to make sure Berry had followed him into the willow's protection.

Strawberry couldn't believe it had already been a week with the stallion and they were already so inseparable. She never once thought she would be around him for so long and she honestly didn't care. He was her friend and there was no reason she should leave his side unless, of course, he wanted her to.

Bounding across the field, she felt the rain beating down against her already soaked coat never feeling this alive before. She wished it would never end and hoped so much that she could spend more time with him. He made her feel things she never felt before and see a different side of the world she would never have come across without him. He was everything she needed in order to grow as a person and as an individual. "I'm coming!" She shouted following close behind him until she ended up under the cover of the tree. She could feel the water dripping off her wet body, but this didn't stop her from laughing. She felt so happy and it was all thanks to him.

"I didn't expect it to rain this badly today. But it's not as bad as it could have been right?" She grinned looking over to him and couldn't keep herself from smiling. Whenever she was with him, she couldn't help it. She was trying to keep him as cheerful as she possibly could. He still had a tough life and she was trying her hardest to brighten it up even just a little bit.

"What should we do now? I mean we can't really go running around in the rain. We might get sick." She said to him not wanting to have to deal with that as well.

"That really came out of no where!" He breathed in an exasperated manner, poking his head out between the tendrils of willow to see it pelt the ground. It made instant puddles, thunder rumbling above after every lightning bolt which lit up the skies. Well, it had been sprinkling lightly prior but hey, never had he thought it would start pelting as hard as it did. Pulling his head back in he'd glanced to the soaking mare beside him, and felt his breath hitch - trying hard to stifle a chuckle waiting to come out of his lips.

Abraxas was aware he probably looked no better, but her hair was quite a mess; he could feel his own sticking to the sides of his neck instead of being short and spiked. "Nice hair." He teased, in a kindly fashion as he shook out the drench of rain from his pelt; creating the illusion his brown coat was much darker than it should have been.

Either way, she was right. As much as it wasn't fun to be stuck under here he also knew staying out in the soaking cool rain would be a risk on their health. It seemed they would just have to take it easy.

"No...we don't want that." He began, while pondering. There was really nothing worth while to do under the willow...it seemed they would be left with their words as physical games would be impossible without venturing into the storm. "Well....OH!" He smiled, remembering a game from way back, way before his sister came into his life. Thankfully this time he was able to shake off her memory rather quickly than let her dampen his mood more than the rain. "Have you played truth or dare before? Its something we can do in here..." He offered, giving his head a good shake to get his spikes to stand back up once free of the water holding them down.

Truth be...he wanted to get to know her a little better. It had been so much fun, game and energy that he hadn't really slowed down to really know the mare he'd been inseperable from. What did Berry like? What did she dislike? Fears? Hopes? Aside from their emotional first meeting he knew nothing else other than she was an absolute blast to be around; a wonderful friend and a heart of gold.

Friends knew lots about each other though...and he wanted to be a good friend to the first soquili wanting to be his friend.

Besides, if she happened to chose dare he knew of at least a few good things for her to do even under the safety of the tree. He remembered even from so long ago he'd planned to make his brothers eat a bug if they dared to well....say dare.
