-quietly amused- I'm sorry, but it's club policy that the hosts and hostesses do not date the guests. As Tamaki would probably put it, it would prevent us from giving our guests each their proper attention.
Psh, stingy. whee I'll go tell Suoh off in a loooud voice.

Why is there no dedicated suggestion thread for members to give suggestions? I mean I have many reasons why I stopped posting in the thread, perhaps if it were fixed others would come back too.

Anyone is welcome to post whatever they want to the Lounge forum, which most certainly includes suggestions. With that being the case, I think having only one thread for suggestions would actually be rather limiting.

If you have ideas, go ahead and simply post a thread for them. 3nodding

There are multiple threads asking for various suggestions, it makes no sense not to make an official. But hey if you want me to make one, fine with me. But I wasn't asking permission to make a thread. Besides it seems more fitting for you or the crew to make an "Official" Suggestion & Feedback Thread.

I didn't find it appropiate for me to make such a thread but I was asking why there wasn't one since there was a few threads asking for some sort of feedback. It looks like spam. I am a mere member who doesn't even post anymore in the thread, essentially.

Ah. You see, I find it easier to separate things out into multiple posts -- too much in one spot can get lost. I generally post asking for feedback on a single specific item so that people aren't overwhelmed by trying to give feedback on many different things at once.

I agree, it could use some cleanup, so that threads that are no longer useful are either archived or deleted. I wonder which would be better .. hm.

I'm definitely interested in hearing your suggestions, by the way. I know you've been gone, and you've never really been specific about why you haven't wanted to play. I am not a mind reader. (;

As Kyouya mentioned, it really is easier to address and get feedback on an issue when it's given it's own thread, much like Gaia's own Feedback forum.

Perhaps we could put up a sticky, explaining to people that they are welcome to post suggestions, ideas, or other content to the Lounge, so that folks know it's okay?

Also, Kyouya, I think an archive would be better because it's inevitable that someone is going to want to look back at what was said about something, though for now there really isn't enough content yet to make cleaning necessary.

1. I was constantly ignored, and to say I should quote someone when only 4 people are posting is unexceptable. I have had my own threads before and I talk to people. I hate giving people any type of justifications of them not being capable of doing something. In most instances what I saw, people weren't interested in anything BUT posting with fellow cast members. I posted there for what 2 months and those two months I talked to the SAME 4 people. To be honest the only two people that kept me there was Panda and Strawberry because I could tell they were TRYING, to put an effort. I did talk to you a lot too but I know our problem was time zones, which I understand. But I'm not going to say it was acceptable for people to continously to ignore me and other people that also stopped coming. BTW, me and KT met in a RP bigger than this about 5 years ago and I talked to EVERYONE in the thread. I'm not saying something that can't be done, so please don't take as an "oh he doesn't know what he's talking about" sort of deals. It REALLY turned me off. We only quoted people when our storylines were far in depth but everyone was accustom to reading every post because we enjoyed reading all responses and knowing how other characters were.

2. It's so restricted to the show. I have no desire to even come up wit new ideas because there is no mystery factor. I know how everything is going to fall because everything needs to follow the show. It's not interesting. This can be seen as personal preference, I understand but as you can see, KT stopped posting too, we felt the same on this point.

3. The trips were geared more to the staff then the quests. The camping trip was incredibly hard to even get into because everything revolved around the staff. How? Take out anyone that wasn't staff, would the story have been affected at all? Nope, not one bit, no one would be missed. But let half of the staff disappear it's more of a problem then right?

The whole thread was a Ouran Host Club thread geared to the people that played the staff. So essentially yes it is an RP thread but only for Cast and no other members. That I understand because those threads exist in the RP forum, but once the slots are full with the cast, no one else can RP. That's how your thread feels to me. So I decided to stop putting forth any effort to bringing something interesting. KT and I wrote PAGES of stuff on the Crimson Kings, history, new clippings. On top of other ideas but in the end it just felt like a waste of unappreciated effort that neither one of us felt like continuing.

That's pretty much it. I also have a pet peeve for giving someone 2-3 paragraphs of something and they reply with one sentence. It's draining, and it makes things dull for me quickly. That's even 1/3 of what we usually do. I'm used to posting 5-7 paragraphs because I love reading the response I get, and fives me something to look forward to, not ONE sentence.

This is why I stopped

But... you gave a suggestion. I'm trying to take your input seriously, since you felt it important to speak up on the topic, by offering ideas on an effective solution to what you asked for.

Also, you joined the guild, didn't you? That makes you a member, which makes this your guild, too. I can see from your comments to Kyouya that you felt ignored previously, however we have a largely new cast now and the current hosts work very hard to give their attention to the guests. Perhaps you could come IC some time, so you can meet us and we can show you how friendly we are?

I did give imput, and you gave me reasons why you do it the other way which is why I responded the way I did. It's nothing more to add to what I innitially said to be honest, either you agree or don't, it's fine I'm not going to have a long out discussion about it because that's me. I say what i have to and i moved on.

I joined because I told panda while ago that I'll consider giving it another chance but I'm not there yet. the times I have lurked in the thread, it still happens, which I admit now I don't lurk as much anymore I legit just stopped going. I'm more of a retired member if you will, at this point. As I said before everything that has happened before was a huge turn off for me, so it would be difficult for me to up and jump in the RP because when I RP I put a lot into it and I'm not going to waste my energy in it just to be disappointed for a second time.

Oh Asobi

1. I was constantly ignored, and to say I should quote someone when only 4 people are posting is unexceptable.

I understand but respectfully disagree with regards some of your points here. We have had a major turnover in cast since you last were a regular, and I doubt you will find yourself being ignored at this point -- we have a new Honey, Mori, Hikaru, and Kaoru. We are still seeking a Tamaki, however.

To be very honest, the attitude that KT's character had turned off several players. They came to me privately and said they had no interest in interacting with either of you because of it. So yes, you got left out, because you got tarred with the same brush that he did. I cannot force people to interact with characters they do not want to interact with. So if you felt ignored, you might wish to take that under consideration.

With regards the request to quote, we have times where our game moves so quickly that people do not realize that there are posts on the previous page that they have not read. Their recently posted posts show up on a new page, so they simply assume that they've read the whole prior page. This is how people get lost in the shuffle, and why there is an ongoing request for people to quote. If we did not have times when we did two or three pages in very short amounts of time, this would not happen and would not be an issue.

2. It's so restricted to the show.

I'm not at all sure where you got that idea. Since when did fallen stars, resurrected headless girls, skilled computer-and-parkour geniuses, neko-idols, and Orihara Izaya and Heiwajima Shizuo count as a standard part of Ouran Academy? Last I checked, they didn't.

I frankly thought that Shiemi, Edward, and Umeshi-sensei made quite an impact on the storyline during the camping trip. If the guests wanted to do more things on the camping trip, that burden is on them, not on the Host Club staff to come up with extra plot for everyone. This is a shared story, and it is only as good as everyone who pulls their weight.

You shared that information with me, and possibly with Haruhi, and no one else. How were the rest of the people in the thread supposed to do anything about it when a) they felt snubbed by your characters and b) they didn't know?

The pace of the main thread is the reason that people respond quickly and in short format. It's so they can get back to reading and responding to the other people. I can only speak for myself, but I'm usually handling at least three conversations at once while I'm playing in the main thread, plus usually one or two others in the Mind Theater. To give each of those conversations five to seven paragraphs would take me several hours -- and to be honest, sometimes you really don't need that much to get your point across. It's one thing to write descriptively, it's another to go on and on at length without actually being active.

At this point, we have both Tamaki's Mind Theater for non-hosting slow RP and Music Room Three for hosting slow RP, either of which you are welcome to use for more involved, lengthy RP at a slower pace than the main thread.

Ootori_K

If anyone had problem with our characters you should have told us, the only two people I heard from was haruhi and panda and when I heard their concerns I altered my character because I realised people didn't have the patience to give them a chance to change over time which was the goal. By the way all my characters are made from personal ecounters I have had, or people I know with tweaks. I had a shitty boss, hat would on everything you suggested, beleived and loved because she was rich, she owned 5 stores a resturaunt, and her only son was doing good in California. I didn't like her at first, but as I got to know her that changed, we gave each other stuff that changed us and we evolved. I would never throw in any personality I couldn't handle myself. And no I don't share my storyline with everyone because it's no suprise there is it? Why would I keep people on their toes? It's silly for me to reveal the whole story that me and KT wanted curve balls thrown at us in the fist place. AGAIN, if anyone had a problem they should have told us or you should have told them to PM us about it, I can't possibly know a problem exist with multiple people if nothing is said by the said people. My fault nope, lack of communication yes.

Secondly, when I bounced ideas off to other people they would tell me they couldn't because they weren't allowed to deviate much from the storyline of the show. That was annoiying to get continously. Maybe it wasn't communicated to them that you can but that's what i got and they said in turn they werent pleased about it either.

And your new members are irrelevant to me as I NEVER RPED WITH THEM You can't use an example of something I never encontered or delt with that's not in my time, shall I say it's after. I wasn't there with this said turn around AT ALL. You can disagree still if you wan't but that point is invalid. We are talking about when I WAS THERE, not after. I can't have an opinion on people I never spoke to in my life and I don't have one.

Again the only two members worth while were Panda and Strawberry and she hated my character at first, yet she kept me there. Funny right? And they ended up liking each other a lot after and so did strawberry, had the people READ ANYTHING they would have seen he changed, butthey didn't. And again I'm not one for giving people excuses. Panda and Strawberry had an attitude that was by far the shining light in that thread. The only times i have posted there recently which has been maybe a month back was to randomly talk to them.

But i'll stick to OCC. with people. I dont think this is the RP for me. I put in a lot when I RP personally and I I feel it's on respect I get the same in return, will I get that here, probably from one person and that's it. Give people's characters to develop before you just brush them off. A FINE EXAMPLE OF THIS is, "As Good as it Gets" it's such a great film. I recently lost my grandfather and I'm already pissed I couldn't attend his funeral today due to the holiday prices to go overseas. I really, REALLY don't need any other stressing me out. I told you why I don't post anymore, and I preffered not to say anything because I didn't want it to turn into an arguement. I gathered I wasn't liked in the thread anyway so it's nothing really to return to with that being said.
