Lasarra knew that she was having to much good luck, and when the arrow landed in front of the beast she knew that both her luck, and the beasts luck, was up. She had her whip out and ready and when the shifter spoke she rolled her eyes. This beast wasn't anyone's prey! The beast was a pet, a companion, not anyone's prey. "Snow isn't anyone's prey! He is a pet, he has ankle bracelets and paint on his fur." she screamed back at the shifter.
She had never had bad experience with shifters for the most part, her sister had taken her in and life was great there at Ast, but this was going to sour her view on them. Who let him have that arrow, his shot was horrible! He should have never been given a rank. If he was a sister they would have kept him back for some more time.
"Look, just go to hunting real prey and I'll return Snow to his owner. And please be careful where you point that thing." she said point towards the bow.

The young man went wide eyed as Lasarra yelled back at him, claiming the strange spirit beast was actually a pet. That was just plain silly! At least that was what he believed, "I have been following it for a while now, it's been on it's own, and if it was a pet before it isn't now." He told, not about to let her steal the creature so easily. He reached for another arrow notching it, taking aim... then paused when she said that she was bringing the beast back to its owner.
"Hm... fine. You can bring it to its owner, but if you don't find it then I am taking my prize." He told her, lowering his weapon, "You should just give the creature to me, save us both some time." Nobody was coming for that beast, they hadn't yet and he really felt that they wouldn't, but he really didn't want to battle with this strange looking girl. No real man fought with girls and he didn't want to be picked on by his friends for doing so. He'd just have to follow them, wouldn't he?
As if realizing that the threat had passed, for at least the moment, Snow gave Lasarra a chirp and continued forward, sniffing at the air as he went. After a few steps forward the creature stopped, looking toward where the Hunter was, continuing to follow along after them in the trees, one ear flicking, before its forward trek continued. While the weywa could sense, at least to a degree, the ill intent of the hunter it hadn't spent enough time in the wild to know that its life was on the line or that the hunter wanted Snow's brightly colored hide. All that mattered to Snow was continuing ever forward.

Lasarra's eyes narrowed. A while now. How long was a while now? She wanted to ask the boy, but at the same time she didn't want to give him the upper hand. Plus at the same time she knew it couldn't be that long. The bracelets didn't look like they were that old, and the beast didn't look like it had been on it's own for too long. Maybe the boy was lying, she knew that they tended to do that. When he notched another arrow so many thoughts went though her head. She had been using the whip for animals, not really on humans, but she was sure that she could figure it out. Right as she thought he was going to attack he started to talk and lowered his weapon.
She nodded and already a planned started forming in her head. If they didn't find the owner of this beast she could claim that it was hers all along, that she was just playing a game with the boy. It would be a lie, but maybe he would believe it. And if he didn't, well she had to learn to use the whip as a weapon sometime right?
Lasarra nodded and started to follow the beast once again. She kept a close eye on the hunter, keeping one hand on Izsha so that her companion was leading the way and she had more time to watch the hunter. She didn't want him to try anything funny.

The hunter continued to follow along after Lasarra from above, all but certain that she would fail in this quest of hers to return the strange beast to its owners. If it had owners then surely they would be looking for the creature right? Then again the idea of finding one creature, no matter its coloration, in a place as big as Jauhar was a little silly. They might very well be searching for the beast at the moment and they would never find it. At least that was his take on the whole situation. He would merely follow after the two of them, until the strange looking girl finally gave up, then he'd take his prize.
Oblvious to this, Snow continued to walk in that slow, ambling pace, sniffing at the air, sending out those high pitched chirps. It seemed the weywa was fare more wary of the bases of trees than the hunter but then again the trap had actually caught Snow, the hunter had missed with his first shot, making the traps more of a threat in Snow's mind. The large creature weaved carefully around trees, over rocks, under fallen logs, and otherwise seemed to be taking the absolute most straight forward path, refusing to take an easier one even when it probably would have made things a lot quicker. After what might seem like an eternity of walking the creature finally paused, lifting up on its back legs, and once more gave a great roar. This one however seemed somehow less threatening, just as though it were calling out for something.
From some distance away there was a reply, not a roar, but instead what sounded like... a whistle? It made the weywa's ears twitch like crazy before Snow dropped down to all fours and went tromping forward at a more rapid pace now, seeming to be quite excited over something.

Every few seconds Lasarra would look up at the hunter, make sure that he wasn't too close to them and that he wasn't about to shoot the beast. The beast wasn't moving as fast as she would like, there would be no outrunning the hunter, but it did seem to know where it was going. There were a few times where she would lag behind due to climbing. She thought about going up into the trees, but she didn't want to be close to the hunter and she felt she could keep more of an eye on him from the ground.
All of a sudden, so sudden that she almost ran into the beast, it stopped and stood up on its back legs and roared. It was interesting to hear all the different sounds that came from the beast. Sure she knew that all kinds of animals made all kinds of noise, but she had never seen this one or heard it so it was all new to her. She looked up at the hunter and laughed when the whistle came as a response. So it did have an owner!
As the beast went tromping towards the sound Lasarra went running towards it as well. She had a few choice words for the owner of the beast.

The hunter turned his head toward the whistling sound, eyes going quite wide, and he all but fell out of the tree that he was perched in. A... whistle? Was the girl right? Did the creature have an owner? The idea was preposterous and yet that sound did seem to be calling for the creature. Deciding that it might be some sort of trick by the odd looking girl below he felt that he should continue to follow along after them just in case. He couldn't just let the creature walk away after all, not when it was something that he had been wanting so badly to catch on his own. Something that he actually had caught on his own until this girl interfered.
Below the weywa continued to pick up speed, crashing through the underbrush, before it suddenly lunged, and as it landed there was a squealing sound of two voices. The beast had taken down two children, a few years older then younglings from the look of them, and was currently rubbing its large head against them. It was a sight that would be terrifying in any other situation given the sheer difference in size between the children and the weywa. For the moment though it was instead just a cute sight, that of a creature seemingly being reunited with the ones that had lost it if the whistle one of them had dropped was any indication.
After a long moment of hugging and scratching on the big weywa's ears the children seemed to notice Lasarra and both were waving at her best that they could from their position under their now rather clingy friend, "Hello!" One of them, a little girl with blond hair chirped at Lasarra.
"Hi!" The other, a boy with blue skinned called, both of them having to work together to push the weywa back off of them so that they sat up, now covered in dirt and debris after getting knocked down by the big beast.

Lasarra stopped and smiled as the beast attacked the children. It wasn't really an attack, not in the normal sense of the word, but an attack of love, so it was actually pretty cute. Looking at the hunter she laughed. "I told you that it had owners." she said with 'I told you so' look on her face. She had known that the best had owners, though she expected them to be a little older.
Looking back at the children she noticed that they had finally pushed the beast off them and were sitting up. She went close to them with a smile. "Hello to you both, you wouldn't happen to be the owners of this magnificent beast would you?" she said with a smile as she crouched down to their levels. Blue skin meant ice, and blonde hair meant wind. They were both far from home.

The hunter gave a snorting sound, "Feh, fine. I won't let you steal my next kill though, beast girl, pet or not." He told Lasarra, displeased with the fact that he had lost the Spirit Beast to the girl and her mettling. If they hadn't found its owner then he would be more then happy to take the creature, pet or not, but then he saw the two younglings. As much as he'd wanted the skin of the Spirit Beast he couldn't take a pet from two giggling little kids... such a pain he thought to himself before he climbed upwards in the trees and out of sight. It would appear as though he no longer wanted to stick around now that he no longer had a reason to be.
The two kids didn't seem to appear to notice the hunter, instead giving their full attention to the kindly woman that was talking so highly of their once lost friend. The boy gave a happy nod, patting the Weywa on the head, before speaking, "Yeah! This is our friend Ailbhe!" He chirped happily, turning to look at him, brushing at his fur that was all dirty and matted, something that caused him to give a little cry, "Ah! You're all dirty! Poor Ailbhe! We will brush you when we get back, I promise!" He said, brushing at some of the dirt clods that stuck to him.
The girl tilted her head to one side before looking back at Lasarra, "Thank you for helping him! Poor Ailbhe! He got so scared when the storm came!" She explained, hugging on the massive weywa as though it were some sort of baby puppy, not a giant beast.

Lasarra smiled up at the hunter as he disappeared. She was happy that he was finally gone, having him there just made her a little nervous. He had a bow, and she wasn't sure if he would have used it.
Once she was sure all was safe she turned towards the children once more. Ah so his name was Ailbhe, that sounds like a good name for him. She liked Snow, but Ailbhe was a really good name also. The children really seemed to care for the beast, which made her happy. But surely he couldn't belong to just them? They were just children.
"The storm?" she asked curiously. "If you don't mind I would like to go back with you guys to where ever it is you and Ailbhe live?" she offered. She didn't want some other hunter to come and attack them again. She also wanted to talk to whoever was their caretaker, they needed to learn more about the beast or at least learn hot to keep it more calm. She had a few herbs that helped keep her animals calm during storms, they would need more for Ailbhe but it should keep him from running off again.

The girl nodded her head, "Yeah, we were all traveling through Tale when a storm rolled by that was more thunder and wind then anything, barely any rain!" She said, finding that as something that was pretty odd given that where they came from there was lots of snow! In Tale though it had just been dry and hot.
Finishing up his task that was circling around the weywa, looking for any wounds, the boy gave pause and said, "There was a crack of lightning that hit a tree near our camp, tree fell over with a big CRASH and next thing we knew Ailbhe was running off!" He made it more dramatic by throwing his hands into the air as he spoke, something that caused the weywa to give that loud chirping sound, as though to agree with the boy.
Both of them then looked back over their shoulder in the direction they had come from, "Everyone else isn't far from here, we got permission to come out and try the whistle a bit more in hopes that Ail might hear it." The girl said, giving the big animal a relieved look, glad that he had been found, "We should get back. Do you want to come along? I'm sure Mamma, the lady in charge of our group, would want to meet you!"
"She will probably want to thank you too since you found Ailbhe first." The boy added, certain that would probably involve a lot of gushing on the part of their group as well as an offering of food, Mamma always handed out food to those that stopped by, it was just in her nature.
The two children practically dragged Lasarra along, hurrying her on their way back to camp as the large weywa followed behind, totally content to be back in his owners' care. When they had reached camp, a surprisingly large site of around 20 people, an older, stocky woman greeted them, a large mixing bowl of something already in her hands. "There you are! And look, you've found him!"
The children excitedly told the story to Mamma, introducing Lasarra and gesturing wildly about their time trying to find Ailbhe by using the whistle they had. After the story was told, Mamma patted the children on the head and turned back to Lasarra. "You must have quite a way with animals. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say thank you for helping, and I speak for myself when I say I want you to stay for some dinner." The large woman winked to Lasarra and laugh a hearty chuckle, walking Lasarra further into camp.
