Bela had just finished up doing a gig elsewhere. She clearly wasn't a mall elf, the suit was quit nice and the blonde wig appeared natural. At least compared to what was normally seen for any santa's elf. "Ya'll look a bit short handed."

She said as the young woman popped up near the Santa chair. She'd noticed the line growing, "I can direct the cue and you guys can handle the wishes and presents." She smiled as looked to both of them, even down to her pointy little elf ears didn't seam like the same brand of fake.

She paused and then whispered to both Santa and elf, "Remind me after we're finished today to help you all look the part a little better?" She eyed the skinny Claus.

Okay, so he wasn't as fat as he probably should have been but the costume and his uniform allowed for only the tiniest of bellies to have been made. Still he was trying and if anyone asked, he had an excuse ready. And from the looks of it, most of the kids didn't want to be there so hopefully it would be a successful little mission they ran.

He made he way towards the big red chair and plopped the bag down next to it. He settled in, making sure he'd be somewhat comfortable while children clambered over him.

Bela approached them and he glanced at Teallite, then back at her shrugging. "I'll never turn down a willing elf!" He bellowed cheerfully. He patted his slight belly and offered an apologetic smile. "Things were not running as smoothly as I would have liked, though I'm sure I'll have the kinks worked out by Christmas!"

"Of course Santa!" She giggled and patted him on the shoulder. "Glad to be working with you sir."

She moved as she hummed to the front of the line and took down the velvet rope to let the children start lining up for Santa. "One at a time please! Lets not crowd Mr. Claus too quickly."

She let the kids go one at a time.

Istas, moved as the line did and looked at Quila and now Dana. "Oh come on it's just for my parents anyways. After all, magic aren't we too old to believe in that?" She shrugged a little bit as she noticed the line moved again, "I'll be right back, hold that thought!" She grinned at both Dana and Quila.

"...Yeah Magic is totally the issue here..." Quila sighed, growling under her breath again as the line advanced. Yeah. She totally didn't believe in magic. Super-powers on the other hand...

"Hey Dana!" She was definitely glad to see her friend, raising closed fist to offer Dana a chance to fist-bump. "Sorry, not much... I spotted Curly here when I walked over from the mall and I was gonna offer her a five since she looked short, but I guess she's fine. Apparently her parents are Nostalgic about pictures of their kid sitting on creepy-stranger laps."

Quila Fisher failing at not being judgy.

"I was just doing some Christmas Shopping, I'm not planning on going to collect my free toy and telling Saint Nick what I want in my stocking. Besides." She gave Dana a conspiratorial grin. "I got what I wanted."

She turned a grimace on the Semi-skinny Santa and his perky blond Elf, and glanced back to Dana with her lip curled.

JUDGING. Endless. Endless judging.

It had taken sooo long for the queue to start moving that Briar had been seriously contemplating slipping away, after all although free candy was nice and all there were better ways to get it and at any rate he preferred cookies anyway and chocolate chip ones to be precise.

In fact Briar probably would have slipped away, but each time he'd come close he'd remembered that his Mum was expecting some sort of sign that he had indeed seen Santa and given that he had no intention of having his photo taken with Santa that meant waiting for the candy cane which at least he could eat.

He'd settled for digging around his bag for one of the books in there and had been engrossed enough in the story, one about a farmer taking on a dragon, that the suddenly moving of the queue had taken him by surprise and it had taken him a few moments to shuffle up.

His attempts to resume reading had been foiled by the queue shuffling forward again and Briar had, after slipping the piece of paper that he'd been using as a bookmark in place ended up tucking the book under his arm. After all he was far enough down the line that his turn wasn't going to come up in the first bunch so he figured if the line stopped moving again that he could always continued reading from where he'd stopped.

After two hours of arguing, bribery, and even a few tears Abby arrived to see Santa. The line was already moving and there was a surprising amount of children already waiting to see the jolly fat man.... and Abby wasn't one of them.

She hated this time of year and she hated it even more this year then last year. At least last year she was at home with all her friends, not in some strange city.

"Remember. Smile for the picture and we will go anywhere you want afterwards." Her father whispered in her ear as he straightened her bright red hair bow. It was for that promise alone that Abby agreed to this farce, she was planing on getting a plane ticket back to England with that promise. Unfortunately for the young lady her father knew her mind quite well and had the perfect response for her likely request.

Abby nodded and smiled half heartily before straightening her red dress, laced in white, and stepping into the line. She briefly wondered if her classmate, Ashleigh, was here or would be here. The bright girl always seemed to drag Abby into the strangest situations but she was the first 'semi-friend' that the home sick little girl had... 'semi' because Abby was determined to make her dad move them back to England. A fight that she had already lost but was not willing to admit to.

The line had begun moving and the nega's nerves began to dissipate. The first child made their way over to him and he welcomed her with a big grin and a hearty 'Ho, Ho, Ho'! Helping her onto his lap, he asked what she wanted for Christmas, informed her that if she remained a good girl that she'd likely get it and posed for the picture while his lovely assistant collected the money from the parents. He followed up by reaching into his sack of toys and pulling out a doll for the girl. "An early gift from Santa with more likely on their way!" He chirped while she squealed and ran off.

The process continued for five more children before the curly haired Istas made it to the front of the line. "Hello young lady!" He boomed, gesturing for her to come towards him. "Now what have you got on your list for ol' Santa here to bring you this fine Christmas?"
