It felt kind of awkward being in the store, considering most of the occupants were little children. Or, well, children and their parents. Two grown men (at least one of them were) in a kid store was kind of...
... maybe he should have thought this through.

But he was here already, and, well, might as well pick something out for Stormy. If anything, he owed her quite a bit, since she was the one who cheered him up after the whole Chester thing, but... what would she like? Clothes wouldn't work, since he didn't know her size, and he didn't want to get anything TOO fancy because she already had a boyfriend and that was kind of awkward.

He was about to wander to the pin section when Allan suddenly grabbed his arm.
"Let's go over here!""
Not really having a say in the matter, he found himself dragged out of the store, to his humiliation.

The phone had been safely pocketed for no more than thirty seconds before Sherry heard her name. Her first thought was that the Caelius Golem wanted something. But that was just weird, if it was actually using her name and all. She turned to look at it, and it looked very Caelius like…it had the quiet brooding thing going on at that very moment.

At the same time her brain kicked into gear and told her that it hadn’t been the golem voice she heard. It had been Jake’s. Of course. That made sense. True, the fact that he and his princess Allan were all but standing in front of her now might have helped with the realization. She did her best to cover her the surprise she was still feeling.

“Help? Um, with what?” She looked from Jake to Allan then back. “Having trouble finding things?”

Keeping an eye on her own princes Lead golem, it wouldn’t do for him to wander off or anything, Sherry reached out for Jake’s list. “Um,” she said, a terrible habit, sure, but one she had. “Well. I understand most of it, I think.” Sherry looked at the fake Allan, then back to Jake.

“He mostly wants T-shirts, though can probably tell that. But he wants them with Pikachu on them.” Did Jake understand that part? How much of this made no sense? Didn’t everyone know who Pikachu was? Jake might actually not, she realized. He’d not been real well versed with texting for heaven’s sake.
She looked at the rest of the list. Part of it was familiar (she’d spent a little time at college) but the rest was confusing. “And I know what Naruto is, but I’m not sure what the rest of that one is. Ichigo Kurosomething and Kohu make no sense to me, though.”

She shrugged and handed the list back. “And I have no idea why he put sparkly happy faces on it, but I think you can ignore those.” Sherry bit her lip. “Does…that help?”

She had been watching his face, trying to figure out if she’d helped or not. Initial guess, she had not. Jake’s question told her much about why. Yep. He didn’t know who Pikachu was. Ok. She could do this. She liked Pokemon. They were like…minipets…only not. And far less scary.

“Pikachu,” she said with a smile, “is an electric mouse.” No one needed to know how proud she was that remembered that much about it. “It’s like, the mascot or main pokemon of a cartoon and video game called Pokemon. …Here, let’s move more to the side.” She took hold of her golem and shifted him over, gesturing for Jake to do the same. “It’s about a boy who goes off to collect little monsters…that are kind of like minipets but not made of fear. Anyway, Pikachu is the first one the main character gets, and it’s super cute and is like the star of the show.” Ok, so she knew more about the anime than the games. “It’s like, yellow and kinda fat, and it’s tail is shaped like a lightning bolt. It has red circles on its cheeks that let it make lightning. That’s how it fights.”

She knew how this sounded. Probably a little bit crazy. Or at least confusing.

“Um… OH!” She got really excited and pointed at the crowd. “There. That little boy there, with the black cap. He’s got a Pikachu on his shirt. You want one of those on these things for Allan.”

She saw the look on Jake’s face. She wasn’t quite sure why he’d be blushing…was he angry? Or was he just really, really confused? “I’m quite sure it’s not a minipet. Maybe whoever invented the game had seen minipets…” Now she was just thinking out loud. Though, she supposed that was an entirely possible hypothesis. She wondered if she’d ever know…

Hearing the Allan golem speak, Sherry turned toward it and its personal shopper. Oh, so it wanted to go shopping again. Sherry figured it was about time to get back on the lists, anyway. Since they did only have a couple hours here. How long had they been shopping at this point? Crap. She should have been watching that.

Oh well. “Jake, you two going to be alright if I head in that direction?” She pointed towards another store.

Sherry watched with interest as Jake picked something out for Allan. Even if she was in a hurry, it was interesting. She knew a thing or two about Jake’s tastes, but it was always nice to learn more. She had to admit, the plain red sweater was rather nice, and somehow fit the Sun lead. Could just be the color though.

She smiled when Jake turned back to her. “You didn’t hold us up.” Yes. The golem was clearly a person. “I am happy to help, as always.” She liked being useful. Sadly, she couldn’t exactly stay and help shop for Allan. She had a scary Death Lead to shop for.

“Message me if you need anything! And have fun!” She said with a wave, before reaching for her golem’s arm and pulling it back out of the store. It was too bad the Allan golem hadn’t like that sweater. Sherry thought it was kind of nice.

Having dragged the golem toward an area that seemed to have few people, Sherry took a moment to gather her thoughts and look at her list again. Where on earth would she find such fancy-pantsy stationary items? So far all she'd seen was athletic stores. And they hadn't had any Nair, either.

At least the tie should be easy. One would think.

With a sigh, Sherry shrugged. "This way," she said to the golem, ushering it into a store that was surprising not too busy. It looked really nice, too. Very nice. And the attendant that wasted no time in asking if they needed help was very well dressed.

...This was a pricy store, wasn't it?
