Working together well, and learning the intricacies of these large Titans. As long as it didn’t do anything crazy or no one got too distracted, they’d have it down in no time. Just like the others. Really, taking down the Titans was a rather straightforward affair, it just took a little bit of skill, luck, and a lot of endurance.

Sherry might be worried if Jake wanted to do another one right after this.

But that was for later. For now, there were things to do and things to watch out for. “Jake! Right! Up and to the right!” Between the spikes and the motion of the Titan things couldn’t be easy for Jake, so that’s what she was doing. Watching for things he couldn’t see right off. Helping so that she wouldn’t have to worry about him quite so much.

Yes. She was going to be worried, and might have to end up sitting on him at some point, just to make sure he got some rest. But that was for another time.

For now she had to keep an eye on things. Nothing was sparking over much, but the beast, oh, the beast. The great thing apparently decided now was a good time to take one great bit step to the left. “Jake! Hold on, I think it’s moving!” Sherry had her own hide to watch out for, too, and she made a point of not being in the Titan’s way. The Titan’s always thrashed a bit, or a lot, but this one seemed to think flat out trying to walk away was a grand idea.

Sherry eyed the anchor. Darn thing was doing its job well, and the Titan didn’t get very far. It also didn’t seem to like that fact. “Careful up there!”

Sherry would expect him to object, must like she would object to him Titan hunting until he wore himself out. Though if he objected too much, perhaps she’d think of something else to encourage rest time. And none of Armagnac’s suggestions were going to be listened to.

Sherry was glad to see the tether was doing its job just as expected, keeping the Titan’s walk short and not very effective. It almost seemed confused by the fact that it couldn’t go any farther. Sherry might have felt bad for it, but she knew it wouldn’t feel bad if it stepped on her, so she didn’t.

“Hang in there!” At least Jake seemed to be doing alright so far. “And keep an eye to the left!” Extra sparks meant trouble. “I think it’s warming up again!”

Not everything Armagnac would suggest ended in death, but that didn't mean they were things anyone would want to have happen to them. Oh well. Sherry would think of something. Though it might take another hunt or two before she decided Jake really should rest, so she'd have plenty of time to plan.

For now... Sherry nodded, even though she knew Jake couldn't see it. She could keep on watching for those spikes. That was easy enough.

What wasn't easy was knowing what the Titan might do. Darn variables in the situation. At least the tether was holding.

Sherry certainly thought it was best. And with the knowledge that Jake was feeling… not too good about things with Chester still sleeping, Sherry had no intention of telling him anytime soon. Or of letting her weapon out in a golem to whatever kind of harm she could. She might not be able to cause physical damages, but she would certain try to cause some kind of damage with her words. Even now she was suggesting Sherry just turn around and wash her hands of the whole mess; Jake was clearly taking too long with this Titan to bother with.

Sometimes Sherry wondered why Armagnac even bothered. They knew on another's opinion on the matter, and they both knew Sherry wasn’t going to turn around and leave. That would have been ridiculous.

“Nice!” Sherry called, ignoring the mutterings from her weapon. “Keep that up!”

With any luck, Chester would return soon, and Armagnac could work on getting over her anger at things. If only.

Sherry would have sighed and shook her head if she’d known what Jake was thinking again. She didn’t know how to make it better, what to say to make things easier on him. She doubted there was anything she could say, stubborn as he was he’d only listen if he really wanted to. But she would toss compliments at him, especially when he was doing as well as he currently was. She would do that regardless of his mood, in fact.

“Not bad at all!” She was grinning, and gave a wave. “We’ve got this—“ she had to pause for a moment and blink. Darn! How had she missed that? “Spike! Charging!” She was pointing to somewhere behind Jake.

Sherry felt like it was all her fault, even if she’d not been able to see everything she’d seen enough. “You alright?” This was one of those times where checking on the health of your partner seemed liked a good idea.

She needed to keep a closer watch on things, needed to stop getting distracted. She couldn’t allow herself to fail at the task of keeping Jake save. Sure, she couldn’t predict the Titan’s movements, but she could try. And she could most certainly keep an eye on its electrical currents. Or she could at least try to.

“Hang in there! We’re not doing too badly!” As long as that last shock hadn’t been too bad, of course. “Just hang on and keep your eyes open!” She really wished she had better advice. “Keep hitting it!”

“Good!” Sherry was glad to hear it, and even if he couldn’t see her smile, it was there. “Be sure to yell if you need anything!” She was trusting him to tell her if his shield got too low. It was hard to tell from her vantage point just how worn out he might be, but it looked like he had a handle on things, so she was happy for now.

Truth be told, Sherry was sure that he had the tougher of the two jobs, distracting the beast with attacks while watching out for electric shocks and not falling off the thing. All she had to do was run around and she was decently good at that. Well, run around and keep an eye on things. Luckily the anchor didn’t need too much attention. Just Jake, on the back of that thing.

“But keep it up! I think we’re nearly there!” Ok, so she had no real idea, but they had to be getting close, right?
