"I don't bloody know..." Ys grumbled to himself as he skidded to a halt, looking around for the monster. It could have gone quite a ways, or it could have chosen one of a thousand different little crevices to hide in, hoping they would rush right past it and search fruitlessly somewhere else.
"Keep your eyes peeled..." He managed as he ducked to get a look under some of the wood and tent material, orange eyes darting. There... a scuffle of movement... but the attention came to late.
The rat youma burst from the tent in a flurry of fur and flapping canvas and launched itself at Megiddo with a snarl of its discolored, twisted teeth... fast, but not fast enough. Instincts already on a hair trigger, Ys's broad hand snapped out as the monster flew by him and he snatched it up by a fold of its putrid skin, whipping it around and slamming it into the ground with almost panicked strength. His flailing attack at least had the desire effect, for all it looked (and sounded) ridiculous. The rat gave a squeal before it suddenly exploded, raining dust across the packed dirt and an irritated Ys's uniform. Jerking back once his hand was empty, the tall knight nervously rubbed his hands off on his dark pants, making a face.
"Good thing we don't have to dry clean this stuff..." He muttered.

Seeing as Ys had, well, exploded the youma before she could get a move in edgewise, Megiddo dusted the settling ash from her skirt and applauded mildly. "My knight in jingling bells," she said, curtseying. Straightening, she surveyed the damage and appraised it to be: not much. Perhaps Ys would view it differently, but to Megiddo, it looked as though her work here were done. "Well," she said to the tall man. "It looks as though it is time for me to bid you adieu. If that's alright with you?" Bluefire Dragonz Sorry for such a short tag! Go ahead and wrap?

Ys straightened up at Meg's comment and a smarmy grin spread over his face as he tugged his vest straight, making the bells ring.
"A pleasure to serve you, my sweet lady." He laughed as he gave her a mock bow, sweeping a hand out. When he straightened up, he let go of his transformation and the young performer stood where the knight had been, dressed no less flamboyantly than before, but with a touch more face paint this time. That, and he was in orange and yellow now, versus purple and blue.
"Thank you for your help today. And, I would appreciate it if you'd come and visit us again... powered down." He grinned as he stretched, all lanky lengths of arm and leg. "But I wouldn't mind going youma hunting with you again sometime. Have a safe trip home, Megiddo."
