Reluctant to move in case it meant aggravating him further, Abbi stared at Jack with wide eyes, pouting while he seemed to think things over. What he did say was confusing enough that the teen sighed, dropping the pout. Trying to get a straight answer out of Jack was about as easy as continuing to pull out Jenga pieces when partially drugged, but today seemed Abbi's lucky day as she was seemingly succeeding at both.
Totally caught off guard by his apology and admission, the girl blinked at him before she hopped into the air.
"Is that why you don't like me?"

Abbi devoted a petulant look to the right for Viveca before she hurried on.
"So straight black for you? I wonder how everyone else likes their coffee..." What an interesting thought! Maybe she could jot that information down in the journal she'd devoted to all the people she'd met here at Deus...

Quick to finish this game up she wiggled out one last piece, dangerously close to knocking the tower over before it was out. Success!
A small fist was shoved into the air before Abbi took a few steps back to do a tiny little victory dance. With that done she looked back at Jack and shrugged.
"Charming someone into getting what I want? Ha! Maybe you could, but I never could."

A screw up of mouth is Abbi's initial reaction to Jack's words, but it begins to loosen the more he speaks. All that sounded really good, but it also sounds more like something for other girls, not for her. She wasn't cute, not like Stormy or Heidi and she wasn't pretty like Cass to warrant the same sort of attention. She wasn't even bad a** like Fini to get people to do what she wanted, or that strange and wonderous combination of good looks and epicness like Nevada to win everyone's hearts. So with that sort of competition going in, it was rather difficult for Abbi to buy into what Jack had to say.
But Viveca was whispering something and well, at the very least, the teen wanted something good to hold onto. That would have to do for now.
"They didn't really coo over me in the labs... Did they?" Yes Jack, she was opening the heart on her sleeve to you for a compliment. "But I'm not that innocent..."

Blinking, Abbi turned to look at the tower that still stood, as well as the two little piles of wooden blocks that lay on either side of the upright Jenga set. She blinked once more before she tossed her hands into the air with a gleeful shout. They'd done it! She'd passed her first training mission!
With a grin she looked up at Jack and nodded once.
"Breakfast sounds great! Do you think they have pancakes? Aw man what I wouldn't give for pancakes with bananas and strawberries!" She was going to stop talking about food she couldn't have now. But she didn't stop smiling, or wiggling excitedly.
"You don't even know what an Otome is! But yes! Ha ha Jack Attack! Is this going to be like Attack on Breakfast?" Even if he didn't understand that reference she laughed and snatched at his elbow, tugging him toward the exit before she let go to run off ahead of him, only to stop at the doorway and call him after her. Breakfast after such success sounded absolutely perfect.
