Talia finished up her tea and nodded. "Sure, why not." She said, placing the cup down and standing up. She wouldn't pass up a moment to get him alone. He was a bit of a show off when he was with the others but alone he was a really nice man.

Az smiled and rose with her. Following the path that they had set up camp on, he walked away from the firelight and towards the moonlit districts of the town. He walked in companionable silence beside her and his eyes kept drifting up towards the stars. "It's funny how you can get so wrapped up in every day life that you forget to enjoy the simple things," he smiled and looked over at her.

"It is, it's been a long time since I have looked up at the night sky properly. It's not the sky of my homeland, well, maybe this is my homeland now. It's different from where I am from. The stars are different, the moon."

Az slipped his hands into his pockets and looked back up to the sky. "What was your home like? How was it different than this?" he asked with honest curiosity. That was the other thing he forgot to do too often, to listen to people reminisce their past lives. He was far too wrapped up in moving forward for such things.

"It was the opposite to this place." she said softly. "A clean beautiful city, with green spaces, tall buildings. We had lots of technology, perhaps too much? When things broke down it was hard to cope. I'd hate to think what it is like now. When we left it was ruins and rubble, the green spaces blackened by fire." Talia sighed. "What was your home like?"

Az thought back for a few moments, then smirked lightly. "I'm not entirely sure I'd say that it was very different than this place. It was cleaner to some degrees, but rough around the edges, and we had technology as well. The last time I saw it, the buildings had been leveled. Myself and a few others were lucky to have gotten away with our lives."

Talia nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I helped get people out. I remember glancing back and seeing the city I grew up in looking like hell on earth." She stopped and looked up at the stars. She missed it, she missed her old life but she knew there was no point dwelling on what had been."

Az smiled softly as he heard the wistfulness in her voice and saw it on her face. Reaching out, he took her hand gently in his. "Starting over is never easy, but I figure we're rather fortunate for it. We can all work together to make things better than they were before."

Talia looked down at his hand in hers and smiled. "That's the hope." She replied, though she wondered if it would not just end up going to same way it had always been. People didn't always learn. She gave his hand a squeeze. "I'm glad I met you you know. It's nice to have a friend."

"I am glad for it too. It makes dropping a several hundred pound load of stones on my foot completely worth it," Az grinned cheekily and squeezed her hand back. "I'm also glad that you don't mind putting up with me," he laughed a bit and started to continue their aimless wandering.

Talia laughed. "Do you trust Isambard?" She asked, then smirked a little. "Do you trust anyone?" She raised an eyebrow and grinned.

Az smirked at her first question, then gave a bit of a laugh as she furthered it. "What a question," he smirked and glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. "Some have been worthy enough to earn my trust," he smirked with a bit of meaning behind it. "As for Isambard, I do not trust him fully. I understand him well. He will do what it takes to get what he wants. I cannot say that I am very different from that," he replied honestly.

She smiled at his honest answer. She had decided that of the god too. She had studied old myths and legends Gods should never be fully trusted. "You do what it takes too." She thought on that for a few moments. "What is it that you want?"

"Well... there are many things that I want," Az replied. "They change depending on my mood or who I am with or what I am doing. To list them all might take this entire journey." He paused a moment, then smiled. "Though right now, I am fairly happy. I am getting what I've wanted since we started this journey," he smirked cryptically and turned them back towards the camp. Even though Cyrus said that the town was safe, there was no reason to put themselves in unnecessary dangers.

"A walk with me?" Talia asked, that seemed rather a simple thing to want. She looked at the fires of the camp as they walked back towards it. "You can have that any time you like."
