Lou's eyebrow raised at her explanation. A key that melted into someone's skin? What kind of bullshit was that? Moreover, who considered that a 'prize'.
But it seemed that not all hope was lost. Lou would take the consolation prize, which was an excuse to be intimate.
"Oh, you poor thing." The vampire cooed, tenderly grasping the wrist of the marked hand. "Shall I kiss it and make it better?" His voice descended to a low whisper as his other hand reached out to touch her cheek.

"And there was a note...there's 6 more of these keys that unlock a treasure?" She looked down, like she was deep in thought. "I don't know..."
All of the sudden, she was quite aware of how close Lou was, her eyes widening.
At the mention of healing her hand, something flickered of hope.
"Can kissing it really make it better?" She said in a hushed whisper, "Is that a new form of healing?!!?"

"Mhm." Lou acknowledged her, but didn't seem entirely interested in her continuation of the story.
When the question of healing kisses was brought up, the vampire just smiled. "No, probably not." He wouldn't lie, after all. "But it could certainly take your mind off such a burden." Lou's eyebrows waggled at the suggestion. "Seems to me that you could use a distraction right now." Nyxtsuki Moon hnnngh sorry I zoned out this week.

Well gee Lou, THANKS FOR LISTENING TO HER.
"Mind off? But I WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT..." She frowned, "What kind of distraction....not the uh...." Her face started to flush into bright redness, "Not the uh..intimate kind right? Because we agreed that you couldn't do that....tell you found out about your past and stuff..."

"You want to think about it?" His head tilted to the side, admiring the softness of her hand instead of paying mind to the 'tattoo'. "Why would you want to think about something that only seems to make you worry?"
Either way, it seemed like Lou had some kind of blockateil perching on his shoulder that hindered the advance of any physical attention he could offer. His past. Yes, he had been searching for places to start looking, but it was hard work. The boil had paid little to no attention to signs while wandering. There had been no point. In his heart he knew there was no place for him to be but where he wanted, at that point. "Not even kisses?" The boil pouted, throwing up the sad puppy headlights. "I thought you enjoyed my kisses. This is more about you than me right now, after all."

"Especially not kisses." She didn't look at those puppy dog eyes, she had to be strong. She had to be super strong. You can't give a skelpup a treat for not doing anything! You had to be a firm master!
"Because! What happens if something worse happens later because of this?" She bit her lip, tugging her hand away. "I've had enough bad things happening to me, I've had enough of things I don't know being stuck into me." She didn't mean that dirty Lou. "I haven't even figured out how to get rid of the first, i've just been living with it like it wasn't there."
She closed her eyes.
"Maybe we should talk about something instead! Graduation is coming up soon..." She shyly ducked her head, "And I'll be leaving soon, at least to live in town...'
Much softer and quieter, "Will you come visit me?"

Especially not kisses? "I don't remember agreeing to that!" Lou whined. Certainly, they were just kisses, but it was like feeding sugar cubes to a starving man. It didn't do much, but it was better than nothing.
Lou's arms folded as she pulled her hand away, a very distinct pout on his lips. Graduating? How the hell was she already graduating?
'Will you come visit me?'
The vampire's eyes narrowed as he appeared to fall into deep thought. "Why? Do you want me to?"

Somewhere Nyx feels like Lou and Amphi had traded places in this ship.
As far as gifs go.
Anyways:
Amphi wiggled just a bit, oh Lou was upsettttttttttt. "You said you want all of me, and that includes kisses so now you have to wait..." THE POUTING FACE WOULD NOT WORK ON HER.
because she returned one of her own.
"I do...because...I'll miss you when I leave."

The pout, however, ceased when Amphi proclaimed that she would miss him. Miss him? Why? He was such a handful to deal with. The boil squinted at her quizzically. "You realize that life will be easier when I can't harass you at my leisure, right?" He was just... Throwin' that out there. "You know. If you fall out of my radars there's this possibility that you might be able to find someone else and carry on a normal, unhindered existence."
Lou paused. "You still want me to visit?"

She thought about it just a bit.
"So we won't be friends anymore?" She blinked.
Her return question was a c**k of her head.
"Do you not want to come visit me? I mean it would be the same for you. you wouldn't have to come bother me, and then you wouldn't have all those weird feelings you do when you're with me." She reached over to poke his chest.
"Aren't I a worse burden to you? I'm asking a lot for you to come visit me." Because it meant that he was again, doing something for her.

"We're not friends." The vampire clarified, poking the ghoul back. She had a point, really. Lou could just not visit her and slowly return to the placidity of living the bachelor life. Not that it had really stop, but it was... Hindered? No, not the right word. Postponed. Yes. As far as he was concerned, his normal life had been postponed.
Lou tapped his chin in thought, pondering the turn in his conversation. Yes, he could indeed pull back right now and walk away. It was probably better to walk away. Better for the both of them. She had undoubtedly been destined for some sweet-talking a*****e and he, well... Lou didn't know what he was destined for. Probably not going steady, though.
He was silent for a few moments. "I will..." Leave you in a heap of your own tears? Not give into that innocent charm? Go find some hookers and cheap cider to clean the ol' palette of this failing experiment? "... Come visit you."
Huh. Had he just said that?

"Oh right, we're not friends...." Amphi's face fell a bit...She had agreed to this. They aren't friends, they weren't lovers. They were.....just together. She puffed up her cheek at his poke and crossed her arms over her chest.
She would've appreciated the term Postponed. To thing she was making Lou do anything out of his ordinary was a power all to herself...wasn't it?
To Amphi, she didn't think of destined or who she was suppose to be with after all. The mermaid had given up such thoughts after the terrible break up with Roch, there wasn't a future with her with anyone...yet. Not though, that she had given it any thoughts before....
His silence was unnerving. Her eyes were huge and blue and hopeful looking up at him...All the innocence focused on those swirly eyes.
And then he said he would visit. You could light a room with her glowing happiness, another victory for her.
"I knew it, I knew you would, Well I didn't know, I wished you would." Amphi reached up and looped her arms over his neck, nuzzling there. "I didn't really know if you would, and after Graduation, I won't get to see you so much, and you'll find some other ghoul to harass and yeah...."

Had Lou known his words would illicit such a reaction, he probably wouldn't have been so delayed.
It was always amazing to know that things most would frown at brought a smile to her face. The vampire tried hard to wrap his head around it, but it still puzzled him to this day. His arms wrapped around her as the boil felt her warm embrace.
Lou had to give her credit. Amphi was, at the very least, extremely realistic. "I might." There was no denying these possibilities existed. "But I doubt any of them will be near as fun or tolerant." And that was the truth, just a little more delicate than the normal Lou response. "Who knows? Maybe I'll spend the night once or twice." Lou's brows waggled. "Make sure you have a big enough bed for two."

It was always would get a response from Amphi, she was easy to please after all.
"Okay, I will make sure there is two beds in my room for you to spend the night with!" She nodded.
"Oh the bell!" Off to the distance, the bell for classes rang and she started to push Lou towards the gates and pass her statue and back into school. "Okay back to class, I will see you after okay!??!" She hesitated. "Thank you by the way, you make me very happy." She nodded.
