Buddingtonite was pleased to see Serpentine at least making the effort to play along with his little game, so much that he was willing to overlook how stiff and awkward he appeared before their guest. Perhaps after this evening he would have to coach the captain in the finer arts of coaxing the enemy into being potential allies and assets. After all, it seemed like good payback for all of the grueling training sessions that Serpentine dragged him along with, even if it was for his own safety. He gave his partner a firm slap on the back, meaning it as a sign of encouragement and flashing him a 'that'll do' expression to let him know how much he appreciated the effort. Yes, much coaching to come after this affair.

At Sirius' observation of Serpentine's lack of emotions, he scoffed, preparing to relieve his partner so that he wouldn't have to suffer anymore embarrassment this night. "Oh, I'm certain there are plenty of officers in Spec-Ops that are oozing with emotions, Serpentine here merely prefers to keep things professional. Besides, I have enough emotions to fuel the entire city and then some, if it was a tangible fuel source. As for the manner with this Tanzanite, I'm afraid that whoever she is, or was, no longer has employment with the Negaverse, and has been gone for quite some time."

It was his way of admitting that he had absolutely no idea who this Tanzanite was, but from what he gathered from the little bit he heard from Sirius' tale, he could guess that she had suffered an interesting fate. One simply did not sprout wings when in the Negaverse, not unless they had become a youma... and that was a topic that Buddingtonite was not willing to entertain, so he was relieved when Sirius altered the topic. He looked to Serpentine to further explain what she had just said, wanting to make sure he knew enough before glossing over the finer details, details that might have not settled well with his friend. A matter to discuss later, per usual.

"Sirius here has been a senshi for quite some time, back when there were a few that were willing to go up and beyond the normal 'duty' for a senshi. Think of them as a Senshi's own version of the Spec-Ops branch... most of them as well as their illustrious leader went on to form what we know as the Dark Mirror Court. So, as you can see, Serpentine, Sirius here is of a rare breed, and tragically wasted on the likes of the White Moon. I was hoping to someday change that..."

He flashed her a wink, before adding, "If that is what you'd like?"

The slap warmed him lightly through his shirt and made the Captain relax slightly. Serpentine nodded to indicate that he agreed with his partner's summation of his character. Professional was the only means to handle being an officer in a war, as far as he was concerned. He had accepted the Dark Gift for very personal reasons, and he devoted himself to his cause ferverently. However, random Senshi did not need to know his motivations or experience anything other than his scorn. Even potential converts - once they joined the Negaverse, if they did, they were still nothing but tools. Useful tools, tools sometimes more reliable than certain officers like Bischofite... but ultimately, only tools. No Senshi was his equal, as far as he was concerned.

He saw no difference in Sirius's distinction. If she was not one of theirs, she was one of the enemy. Even if she joined Ares now, she would still be an enemy. His partner's additional information did little to change his mind. Still, Serpentine did his best to appear impressed. If what Buddingtonite said was in any way true and not merely flattery, then perhaps the canine-Senshi's conversion would provide them with a powerful tool. The rainbow-haired man raised an equally colorful brow, as he nodded once again in agreement. "Wasteful."

Tanzanite had gone? The surprise and shock was as clear as anything on Sirius's face. Was she dead? Tanzanite? Sirius looked at the floor slightly while she processed the information, what was she feeling? Sorrow? Loss? Tanzanite had been the one who was going to kill them all, at least before Ares turned and then of course Ares joined forces and the two of them were her enemy but she had already been informed Ares had gone and Tanzanite too? Was that not her job done then? Not that she had done much but they were her too main enemies and they were both gone, technically that meant she was now safe from all those threats they had both made. She doubted there were few in the Dark Mirror Court that cared about the BMC left overs.

She shook her head to get back to the now and looked back to the two in front of her, still feeling, well she wasn't sure. However the flattering was working and soon she was back in the now and going with the flow.

Buddingtonite was quite someone, she hadn't ever come across anyone she felt this 'chummy' with. It wasn't right, she knew it wasn't but then who knew what was right and what was wrong anymore.

"How exactly would you change that? Unless either of you are more then you are letting on I heard rumours not just anyone can corrupt a senshi. Get the feeling one of you would rather kill me anyway." Though the offer was not landing on deaf ears. "You might still need to do a little convincing..."

Buddingtonite would have had to have been a fool not to notice the surprise on Sirius' features and while he made a point not to draw any attention to it, it certainly got him thinking of what could have possibly caused such a reaction from the senshi. He'd have to look into this Tanzanite fellow someday, maybe after their little chat? It was certainly something worth looking into... though rather shameful that he knew so little of his own organization's past. He'd have to correct that...

Her question would not go unanswered, and though he fiddled with the rose on his shoulder, he was giving them his full and undivided attention. "My dear, what you're suggestion is that the two of us are pathetic enough to resort to using force on either you or another, but I can assure you that it won't be the case. Not only are the two of us admittedly lacking in the power and strength to do such a thing, there's also little reason or good that comes out of forcing such a switch. And while you may think of it as corruption, I prefer the term 'recruiting'..."

He looked to Serpentine but there was no judgement in his eyes when she called his friend out on his preferred course of action, as he spoke in his friend's defense. "Serpentine's been scarred- emotionally, not physically- by the selfishness and uncontrollable ways of the White Moon Court before so you must forgive him. His story, should he decide to tell you, is one shared among many of us in the Negaverse who have grown tired of way of life being threatened by their careless actions, but bless Serpentine's heart that he is trying his very best right now. Wanting to kill you and acting upon those desires, though, are two different matters, are they not? So please, do not be too quick to fear Serpentine this night."

He wouldn't tell Sirius of the cause of Serpentine's involvement nor how deep rooted that hatred would run. That was up to him to decide if he wished to indulge her and he'd give him the chance to do so, but for now, Buddingtonite was content to carry on in their orientation of sorts. "And I'm perfectly fine with that, Sirius, otherwise I'd be wrong about you. If you were to bend so easily to flattery words and a wink, then either I'm doing too good of a job here or you weren't the strong-willed and intelligent Senshi I think you to be. These matters take time and I have plenty of it, if you wish for me to engage you. I have plenty of reasons why it would be for the best if you broke free from the White Moon Court, besides the fact that they are wasting you. Care to listen?"

Serpentine tilted his head at the Senshi’s obvious surprise. Tanzanite was a name he knew only from research. He had no face, no weapon, no uniform to visually connect it to anything else. Still, if they had the ability to surprise Sirius, then that could only be to their advantage. Perhaps the lack of this Tanzanite would convince her more easily to become a willing tool to their cause. He allowed Buddingtonite to speak his fill. A flash of fire appeared in his eyes at the mention of his past, a glare directed specifically at his partner. The proud Captain did not want to share his story with strangers in general, but to a Senshi who may or may not join their cause? Certainly not.

He could, however, at least put whatever doubts the girl still had for her safety at ease. He patted the whip that lay in his sash, coiled against his leg. He had not used it - he had not so much as reached for it ever since depositing it there at the beginning of their interaction. The Captain kept his weapon sheathed, but his words were still sharp, “Want to kill? Yes. I do not threaten. I act. Quicker. Easier.” Then, he slowly moved his hand away from the snake-decorated weapon to hold it open towards her. “But final. No chance to sway you then. Buddingtonite has an eye for greatness - which currently is on you. So, I listen.”

Serpentine folded his arms over his chest and cocked a rainbow brow as he issued a challenge. “Will you?”

If nothing else the interaction between the two were interesting to note, especially when Buddingtonite mentioned Serpentine's past. She would make note to try and dig a little later, maybe not when Serpentine was around. He clearly wasn't comfortable about it.

She did however listen to both before smiling.

"Of course, I am looking forward to hearing them." She was really looking forward to hearing them, it was a very honest remark from her. Sirius had a lot to think about and a lot to learn, but most of all she was looking for her home and calling. For that reason, she would listen if nothing else.

Buddingtonite hoped that the little bit of intel he allowed to slip would be enough to entice Sirius' interests without giving way too much about his friend. Not that he thought his friend to be one to simply love to have an aura of mystery about him but he knew the experience to be very personal to him and therefor not knowledge to be shared, even to a potential recruit. After their discussion with Sirius, he'd apologize for even bringing it up, but for now, he'd allow it to work its magic in keeping Sirius' interest at least long enough to listen to him.

And thankfully, she was willing to give him the chance, and without further ado, he cleared his throat, preparing himself for what he suspected to be a long winded speech, though one with merit, he hoped. After all, it wasn't just his or Sirius' time he was dealing with here…

"First of all, the White Moon Court is a disorganized mess, filled with teens and children that have little to no guidance. Those with strength, skill, power- like yourself- are surrounded by those that hold you back from your full potential, whether they're aware of it or not," Buddingtonite said, continuing to stick with flattery as it seemed to be doing him a great service thus far. Whether she fell for the ruse or simply allowed him to keep stroking her ego out of amusement was a mystery to him, but he wasn't going to rock the boat on this one. "Here in the White Moon Court, you're doing nothing but stagnating, and that's nothing short of disastrous for one that was once part of the Blood Moon Court, is it not?"

He held up an index finger, as though he just laid out one reason for her, before jumping to the second reason. "Not to mention that the Negaverse you once fought in your heyday is no longer the Negaverse you see before you. We are a changed organization, with the same goal mind you, but simply a different approach to how to handle with 'war'. There may still be few among us that think only of ridding the problem the old fashioned way-" he cast a casual glance at Serpentine and gave him a smile, before returning his crimson gaze to Sirius. "But for the most part, we are different. There is no Tanzanite, only those that wish to help protect this planet from the Moon Queen and her army. In truth our cause was never in question, but our methods, and I promise you, they have changed. And those that cannot keep up with the change or cannot control their desires are handled with in due time."

He would not give any names, not yet. They weren't important at the moment. Two fingers were raised, and lastly, he went to list a third reason. "Also, if I may be blunt, besides being wasted in the White Moon Court and the merit of the Negaverse's overall cause, you would certainly be welcomed among our ranks, as well as someone of your knowledge and strength is sorely needed in our ranks. Maybe that comes off as us being a little desperate, but perhaps if we had more soldiers like yourself, those with an insight on the other side and how it works, we could not only strengthen our ranks for Earth's sake, as well as offer a chance for those senshi that are blind and lost on the other side. Spare them from what would only become a horrible fate…"

Sirius listened as he started to give his reasons. She couldn't help but start to agree with him. The white moon court was a mess, they had children that were, well... it wasn't right. The children shouldn't be part of this mess.

Was she held back from her full potential? That she wasn't so sure about but she nodded for now, there was a chance that he had a point. She was stagnant, that was for sure, she had done very little since getting back to the city and she felt as if she was going no where.

The next point also rang true. He was proof was he not that the negaverse was not what it once was? She nodded again, yes there is something there. Maybe she would find herself a use if she was part of the negaverse? She toyed with the idea.

His last point was the one that still caused her to be cautious.

"You had me till the last point. It will take a little more convincing to prove that I won't just be killed."
