It was still hard to discern the clone from the Chibi Senshi whom it was supposed to be a true likeness of, especially up close like this, until the animal-like hiss gave it all away. Amethyst blinked. Just once as he steeled himself internally for what he was about to do next with an impassive look on his face.
He made a grab for the creature's arm with his other hand the moment it tried to lash out at him, lifting its lithe frame up slightly before he smashed it down onto the ground like he would a rag doll. Without a moment's delay, he went on to twist its arm with the aim of breaking it so as to incapacitate and render it harmless further.

There was a very distinct 'snap!' that even Aludra heard in the middle of humming another lullaby. The clone cried out and writhed its small body, its child-like face twisted into an angry snarl. Despite the obvious pain, it began to struggle once more, flailing desperately with its unbroken arm.

The sight of the clone's enraged expression and the sounds that it made only caused it to stand out even more from the Chibi Senshi that it was attempting to hunt and take the place of. There was no hesitance in Amethyst's movements this time, an impassive look on his face as he easily held it down by its neck, his gloved hand pressed over its windpipe with the intent of choking it if that was even possible at all whilst he pulled back his other arm and punched it over and over without showing any remorse or mercy.

It was choking and it was dying. With one hand wrapped around Amethyst's wrist, ineffectually trying to dislodge the fingers around her throat, the shade struggled. Thrashings its legs and twisting its body like a snake. But in the end, even with the borrowed strength of a chibi senshi, it still had only the small body of a twelve year old and it was failing. Finally, mercifully, its eyes rolled back and the body shuddered into stillness. Then it simply disappeared as if it had never been.

It was a sight that would haunt Amethyst for a long time to come. Sure he had to regularly deal with life and death situations as a surgical resident at the hospital, but this was an entirely different situation altogether with him as the perpetrator in wanting something dead and then carrying out the act with his own hands. If anything, it was contradictory to the Hippocratic Oath he had to take when he graduated from the medical college and started his career as a doctor, making him no different from a killer judicable by law.
Taking a step back, he heaved a sigh of relief when the clone's body disappeared into thin air and spared him any further agony with the reminder of what he had just done. He took a minute or two to compose himself and remind himself over and over as to why it was necessary to do what he did, schooling his face to a neutral expression with a small smile for Aludra as he went over to stand before her, patting her head and shoulder to try to get her attention. "It's done. It'll trouble you no more..."

Aludra had stopped humming some time back and was staring at the ground with a fixed frown. She had felt the exact moment the clone had died, with the loss of energy following it into death. It hadn't been painful, but she'd felt it and the knowledge that that violent thing had somehow actually been part of her made her want to cry. She lifted her head up, answering Amethyst's smile with a weak one of her own. There had been no other way. "Thank you. I'm going home now..." baby_gwing I'd say nearly done here too. <3

Aludra had looked visibly upset even before she lifted her gaze to meet Amethyst's. It struck a chord within him but as much as he wanted to take her into his arms and comfort her, he found himself unable to do so. Not with these hands that had just committed such an unspeakable act. Sweet children like her should never be a part of nor allowed to witness the cruelties of this war. Not until they had the mental faculties that would come with maturation and even then he would never wish one as young as her to be a part of it if he could.
"... is it alright if I walk with you part of the way? I won't tail you home. Promise." He offered, his tone soft and gentle as he kept the smile plastered on his face. She had nothing to fear from him really and he would much rather accompany her part of the way just so that she would not come to any harm that might lurk the mostly emptied streets. All the effort that he had put into their relationship so far would have been for naught otherwise.

When he made the offer she was visibly relieved, letting out a soft sigh. With each week that passed Aludra was discovering more of the darkness involved with being a senshi. The horrible truth of it was burying deep and wearing her down. She had always been naive and full of hope and now a world of pain was unfolding in front of her, impossible to ignore. It was going to be fine, she told herself firmly, she would find a different path. With a smile at Amethyst, the chibi held out her hand.

Amethyst wouldn't want to know who she was as a civilian even if Aludra accidentally led him all the way right up to her doorstep. It would make it even harder to comply with the order to rid the world that they lived in of all the Senshis and Knights the moment he deemed the Chibi as having outlasted her usefulness to the Negaverse if she had an actual name, family and friends pegged to her face.
Should he receive such an ultimatum in the future, he would come up with something then. For now, he was simply content to know her as Chibi Sailor Aludra and he had no desire to go beyond that as he reached out to take hold of her hand with a heavy heart and accompany her home. "Let's go..."
