"Yeah that sounds good!" Malus said, and skipped off to the front desk to ask. She was glad to have made a new friend, she didn't have many and living by herself was lonely. She didn't have anyone to talk to except her apple, which was currently perched on top of her books and it didn't really talk back. Now that she thought about it she didn't really know what her other friends liked. She'd have to find out some time.

It didn't take but seconds to get the information they needed. "After we get our books paid for would you like to get a cup of coffee or something? This bookstore has a little cafe." Alison asked as they headed to the appropriate section.

Once they got to the section that contained the book they were looking for Malus started to look around for it. "Sure that sounds fun!" She had never had coffee before, but it seemed like a lot of people drank it.

Alison nearly squealed in excitement. This was turning out to be a better than decent day. She had from what she could tell made a new friend. She was thrilled about that. Another friend meant that she had one more reason to get out of the house! She helped Malus find the book they were looking for. "Here we go." She said when she finally noticed it. "If you think it is something you would like to read I'll buy it. It will be a gift to you." She smiled.

Malus read the back of the book when it was handed to her. It was difrent from what she normally read, but it seemed interesting. Hearing Alison offer to pay for it she shook her head."it's okay, you don't have to" she said with a smial. While she. Didn't have a lot of money she didn't want to impose on her new friend.
Gathering up her books she waited for Alison before heading to the counter and waiting in line so they could play for their books. And go get coffee.

"I seriously don't mind at all," Alison grinned. She grabbed a couple of book marks while waiting in line. She glanced back down at the manga in her hand. She was really looking forward to reading it. Once it was her turn she placed her books on the counter and grabbed the top book off her friends stack. She smiled, "I insist. If it really bugs you out you can buy me a cup of coffee." Once she had paid for the books she moved out of the way so that Malus could pay for her books.

Malus sighed a bit then smiled. "If you insist." She said before Alison snatched the book. The other girl seemed really nice and Malus was glad that they had met.
Once Alison had finished her perches, Malus put hers on the counter and paid for them. Grabbing the bag of books she turned around and looked for the cafe that was the store, spotting something that looked right she started to head over to it.

Alison followed Malus to the cafe. So she wouldn't be in the way while she looked at the menu she stood a ways out of the way. She had not ever been here. The only time she had, had a cup of coffee was at home. That was with a lot of cream and sugar. And, coffee at home was never fancy. "I wonder what is the difference between lattes, cappuccinos, and coffee." She was more musing aloud. On top of those choices there were also smoothies and hot chocolate. There was so much to choose from. "I think I'm going to order just a simple cup of coffee." Now she just had a to decide on a pastry. She scooted a little closer to the case. "Everything looks so delicious. What is your favorite pastry?"

I have no idea Malus said, looking at the menu. She had no idea what the different types of coffee were, there seemed to be an endless amount of combinations to the coffee. They could add whip cream, sugar, caramel swirls on top of all the different types of coffee. She wondered if the lattes and cappachinos had so many combos.
She was tempted to get a smoothie or hot chocolate, something simple that she knew she would like but they had come for coffee so it was coffee she would get. "Ummm I'll get what you're getting, I've never had coffee before." She said with a laugh.
She then turned to look at the pastries there certainly were a lot of them! They all looked different and they certainly looked yummy! "That one looks interesting" she said pointing to a golden brown pastry that was a long log with some jelly like stuff in sections of it and a shiny glaze with some sort of white ice ing dripped on it. "I think I'll that one."

"Coffee if done right is really delicious. My mom showed me how to make a good cup of coffee." She grinned. "Just don't drink it black." She stepped up to the counter and order for the both of them. She pointed out the pastries and described how she wanted their coffees. Upon hearing the total she pulled out her wallet and paid. She turned around and smiled at Malus. "It should be ready in a few minutes. Lets get a table." It was at that moment that she realized that she had stepped in a paid again. She liked treating others. It was just a habit. She hoped that her friend would not get offended. After all she had told her new friend that she could buy if she wanted to.

"Sounds good! I can't wait to try it. No black gotcha." She said with a grin. Alison had paid for the drinks before Malus could even get to her wallet. "Looks like I'm buying next time then." She said with a laugh. She didn't mind being treated, she just didn't want to be a leach. "Want to sit by one of the windows?" She asked as they moved over to the table area to find a place to sit.

"A window seat would be absolutely fantastic. I love feeling the sun on my scales." Alison was not vain the slightest. She liked to sunbath for the simple fact of the feel. Although she normally preferred to sunbath on the beach. Nothing like the combination of waves and sun rays. She draped her purse and bag with her purchases on the chair before sitting down. "I'm sure we have a few minutes before our drinks are done and we're up." "So what else do you like to do besides read?" She wanted to get to know her friend further. She could use more girlfriends, friends in general.

Malus set her books down next to her on the floor near the wall as she sat down. Malus hoped that she would like the coffee, it was good to try new things though even if you end up not liking them. "Umm, not much. I like to help people so I spend of a lot of time helping people and stuff." She was getting better at her aim, it was starting to get easier for her to be up the guardian gnomes and stuff. She spent most of her time trying to become better at her hero work. "So what do you like to do alison?"

"Entirely nothing special. I'm pretty much an average girl. I like to do a lot of reading and studying. I don't take a lot of time for myself because I would rather help my mom take care of the family. However at a friends instance I've been trying real hard to take more time for myself." When Alison heard there order number she got up and retrieved it. "I hope you like the coffee," she smiled. "If not we can always get you something else. This place also sells some pretty good smoothies."

"So do you have a big family then?" Malus asked curiously as she took her coffee. The warm brown liqueured that swirled in the cup as she picked it up had a strong scent. It wasn't an unpleasant one though. She took a tentative sip. and quickly put the cup down. It was really hot! The burn on her tongue wasn't that bad and the pain faded rather quickly. So Malus picked up the cup again and blew on it gently to help cool it down. "Its pretty good, just really hot." It was hard to taste when your taste buds were screaming at you but she had tasted it well enough to know it wasn't terrible, the true test would come when it was a bit cooler. She set the cup down again, maybe she'd try the pastier while waiting for the coffee to cool.
