"Your magic should be able to help you out with that when the time comes" Liryn said at Mizar's admission. "I think the words you need are 'Fleeting Steps'" or at least Fleeting Steps sounded right to Liryn the same way that Mizar sounded right. "But you'll need to put some feeling behind them when you use them." Because feeling was important.

At Mizar's comment about his phone as Jae being missing Liryn said cheerfully "Well you can always go back to being Jae if you need to, you just need to think really, really hard about being Jae and you should turn back again." He looked thoughtful a moment before adding as his tail waved lazily "Although you should probably find somewhere secret when you do so, unless you really, really trust the person since turning back in front of the wrong person would be bad." Just like him talking in front of the wrong person would be bad.

"And yes there's more senshi out there" Liryn agreed at Mizar's query about others like him, after Liryn knew his senshi was somewhere out there even if he had no idea where his senshi was or even who his senshi was beyond the hazy, hazy feeling that he couldn't reallty explain that his senshi had something to do with crafts. "I think there's more cats like me out there too." Although Liryn hadn't really come across any other guardian cats to date.

"Fleeting steps is your magic" Liryn said, "And it will help you out when you use it but I'm not sure of the effects." He looked down for a moment before admitting "I'm new to this myself." It wasn't that long ago that he'd been nothing more than a stray cat, hunting out food and shelter and the odd scritches that people were willing to send his way.

"There's still a lot I have to learn too," his cheerful voice was serious but I know that Chaos is" he thought on the words and settled on. "Not good." Liryn wasn't sure how he knew it, but it was one of those certainties - just like the fact that his senshi was out there somewhere was a certainty. "And I know that keeping the fact you are both Jae and Mizar secret is important" he added before going on to admit "But I don't know where the others are - you're the first senshi I've met." The cheerful note crept back in his voice "But I know that there are others and I can help you look for them."

After all there was no reason why he couldn't help Mizar and search for his senshi.

For a moment or two after Mizar had asked his question on whether he had always been able to talk Liryn was silent, but eventually he said in a quieter voice "No. No I wasn't always able to talk" before going on to admit "Once I was just a regular stray." Oh he had been luckier than most strays and had ended up with a home of sorts that had involved alternating between two households where the bipeds in chief were fond enough of cats to put a bit of food out in the mornings and evenings and kind enough to give strays like him a roof to stay under on the nights when it had been flat out too cold to stay outside.

And maybe he could have even have been content with that life once.

Once was not now though, not when he knew that there was so much more out there - that his senshi was out there somewhere, even if he still had no idea who his senshi was or what they were like or even how he knew that they were out there somehow.

Some of his normal cheerfulness slipped back in his voice as he continued "And then one day I was like this, like..." He thought about it. "Maybe waking up from a dream or something." Well okay not really like a dream, but he couldn't think off anything better to liken it too. "And I knew I was a mauvian."

He tilted his head up at Mizar's second question "I had a hunch" well more like he had had a guess and the guess had been a really lucky one because it had turned out to be right - especially given that Mizar was the first senshi and only senshi that he had managed to awaken to date. His voice brightened even more at the red-haired senshi's request "And of course I'll help." Despite the cheerfulness of his words there was a firmness to them as well. "And if I don't know something I can always look it up" after all he was planning to try and sneak into the city library one day after hours and looking something up would give him a reason to do so even sooner.

"I wouldn't change things" Liryn admitted... Well okay maybe he would have a little - because if he'd been given a say in things then his senshi would have been there when he had awoken to himself. But he wouldn't go back, couldn't go back - his old life as a simple stray as out of place as his winter coat would be in the summer months.

His voice trailed off into a purr as Mizar reached out to stroke the top of his head and although he preferred scritches over patting, the gentle movements of the other's hand were distracting enough that it a few moments for him to notice the lack of the aura and realise that Mizar was back to being Jae.

"I have places" he admitted, making no protest as Jae reached out towards him. They weren't home - after all awakening to himself hadn't changed the fact that he was still a stray - but they were still places that with a bit of wiggling would give a bit of shelter so that a cat could catch a kip. "But I'm always happy to see new places."

Jae definitely did nice cuddles Liryn decided as he lay peaceable in the red head's arms, his purplish eyes half open and lazy.

Despite his lazy appearance however, Liryn was giving Jae's offer the serious consideration that it deserved. It took a few moments, but eventually he gave the other a gentle butt with his head as he said "I'd like that."

It wouldn't be a forever thing - couldn't be a forever thing - not with his senshi out there somewhere and as yet unfound. But he liked Jae who was also Mizar for all that was only a first meeting - and there was no doubting that Jae knew how to give a good scritch.

The scritches played a part in his decision, but so did the fact that Jae was the first senshi he'd awoken and knowing where the other lived would help Liryn to be able to look out for the new senshi - something that he was fully intent on doing, even as he continued the search for his senshi.

Besides even when he finally found his senshi, Liryn knew that he'd continue to look in on Jae who was also Mizar - knew that he'd continue to give a helping paw or two or three or even all four if that was what was needed.

Because it was a guardian's duty to protect and it was one that even new as he was that Liryn took seriously.

Searching for his senshi however was something he'd put aside - at least for the now.

Because now was for following Jae home and hoping that the other had real food, rather than that nasty 'cat food' stuff that some people thought that cats should eat.
