Cecily wasn't sure what to think about Mei's comments regarding her brother - but after a moment she was giggling too, hiding her smile behind her hand. "He was bossy when he was with me, too," she admitted finally. "An' if I didn't like what he wanted I was mean," she said, then huffed. "I don't think it means what he thought it meant."
At the revelation about pokéballs, her eyes widened and she bounced in place. "Really? Really? I'm safe from them? Then --- then maybe I don't have to stay out here! I could explore some!"
Staring up at the tree, the celebi tried to judge how far she would need to go, and grabbed onto a branch, fluttering her wings to give herself a boost. She wasn't particularly great at flying with this new, heavier body, but she could certainly still climb!
"The best branches are up here," she called once she was a certain way up the tree. "You want long, skinny ones right? That you can make take shapes?"

Mei grinned as Cecily started to giggle, it seemed the Celebi boy was just naturally this way and all. She shook her head in amusement. "Sounds about right. He's getting better about that. I've gotten mad at him a few times about it." She saw the other girls eyes go wide and gave a nod. "Uh-huh. Brenny was saying something about some blind girl throwing one at him and it bounced off him. Stung a little, but didn't do anything other wise." there was a smile at the others happiness. "You can yup!" "That's right! I want to be able to make them into circles! And layer them together if I need to. Be careful...thats a tall tree!"

"Good," Cecily said, bobbing her head as she started grabbing the greener branches to try and break them off. "If he gets better then that will be good for everybody." She certainly didn't want him to get hurt - or hurt anybody else - by his pushy tendencies!
"Really? Ohhh, that's great, that's really great, I can stop hiding then!" And if she could stop hiding, she could experience the things that caught her attention - like finding out where her pretty cloud blankie had come from, and if she could get something even prettier!
"You mean like.... branch crowns?"

"You're right it will be. Connie, the guy we live with has been trying to help him get better at that. So do Eliot and I." which was important really.
"Is that why you're out here?" Mei frowned some. "Did you think someone would catch you? I guess that makes sense. I used to belong to someone but my trainer died when I was still a pokemon." it hadn't bothered her to be caught though.
"Branch crowns?" oh hello piqued curiosity!

"Mmhmm," Cecily acknowledged with a hum, flipping upside down on the branch to grab at a few below the one she was sitting on. "Hardly anybody ever comes out here, so it's safe from being caught... but it gets kind of lonely and it's getting cold, too."
She twisted the branches off, tugging and coaxing and making a liberal amount of silly faces as she got each one, dropping them down to Mei one at a time. "Uh-huh! Branch crowns! I'll show you. You're better with something vine-y though. Like grape vines! They're woody but they grow all curly and pretty!"

"I didn't know you could make crowns out of stuff like this!" she caught the branches as they were dropped, watching Cecily with anxious eyes. That just seemed dangerous!
"We don't really have much extra or I'd bring you some blankets to keep you warm. Or extra room or I'd have you stay with us till you found somewhere else." Mei frowned in concern for her new friend. Maybe she could think of something!

"I think you can," Cecily said, smiling at Mei - before she remembered she was upside down and frowned instead, thinking that might work better. "They look like they'd work better anyway!"
Tipping herself back upright, she scrambled back down the tree and dropped next to Mei. "Will that be enough? And it's okay; I have a blanket! I can show you if you want."

Mei beamed up at Cecily, laughing some as her facial expressions changed so it was more resembling a smile from the precarious position she was in. "Well they feel springier than the other ones I was using, so hopefully these work a lot better!" though she frowned a little. "Just a blanket? It'll be so cold soon though Cecily!" this worried her! "Okay lets go back and you can show me your blanket while I get settled to try making these into wreathes."

"It's a really good blanket, though," Cecily assured her new... friend? Acquaintance? --- assured Mei, smiling as she started inspecting the branches herself.
"Should we try twisting them together? IT might take both of us, some of these are really strong..."

"Well I'm glad to hear that but it'll get really cold...colder than just a blanket can fix." she worried some more. Hopefully Cecily would find somewhere warmer than a tree before long! "Yeah lets try that! I might work." she looked through the branches and selected two of about the same length but different thicknesses. "Okay lets try!"

"If it gets that cold, I'll move somewhere warmer," Cecily said, not quite aware of just how cold it would get once winter settled in fully. "Don't worry!"
And she sat down next to Mei, grabbing two branches of her own. "Right!" And she shoved them together, and tried twisting - to no avail. "Um. I don't think I'm doing this right at all..."

"I hope so. It can get quite cold and snow isn't fun to sleep in either." she'd done that once when her old master had been younger and doing some sort of training to strengthen himself. She'd faithfully stayed by his side. Mei watched Cecily start trying to twist the branches together and looked around, grabbing at some stringy pliable roots from something and tried using those to tie everything together as the other twisted. "This..might.... ack!" the piece of branch she'd been working with snapped through the roots and nearly smacked her in the face. "That was close!"

"What's snow?" Cecily asked, green eyes wide and curious. "Is it like rain? Because rain's pretty wet, I remember rain." As a pokémon, Cecily had stayed in warmer climates, and as such had never actually seen snow. "What does it do?"
Twisting the branches was hard, and not working, and while for a moment it looked at though Mei's idea to use the roots might work it became clear very quickly that no, it wan't going to. The shiny Celebi pokéhuman squeaked and scrambled closer to the Mienfoo, trying to check her over.
"It didn't hit you, did it? Are you okay?!?"

"Snow is cold, white stuff that falls from the sky...it's not really like rain no. It covers everything in a bit, cold, white blanket." it was the best way she could think to describe it. "It's okay to be in it if you have proper clothes on but being in it too long can be dangerous." Cecily scrambling closer had her setting down the branch and she shook her head. "I don't think it did, I think I'm okay, just realizing my idea isn't going to work." and she shrugged. "Oh well. I tried, but at least I made a new friend in the process!"
