Madryn didn't get a chance to react, after all there was now a boy laying on top of him protecting him from a wall of fire that appeared out of no where. Madryn had heard the shout of instructions to them, but he had been so bewildered at the woman's sudden appearance plus the fact she had dark skin he had immediately jumped to the conclusion she was an oblivionite out to kill them.
Of course this didn't make any sense as she had warned them about her attack right? Still there were some more immediate things he was concerned about...like having Karayan laying on top of him. His face went into an immediate blush and her nearly shoved the dovaa boy off of him in an attempt to get back up.
Of course this lead to him freezing in place as more roars seem to gather around them. Three more? What did this witch bring them all with her? "I dunno but she is an oblivionite...we need to get out of here before she decides to destroy us along side the dragons." He hissed back.

Tilawen felt some strange satisfaction at the fact that the three dragons were incinerated by her flames. Of course that feeling was brief as suddenly more roars chorused around them. Glancing her green eyes took note the position the boys were in and she looked away. It reminded her how stupid Junjie could be...risking his life for another.
Standing she let the wind that was picking up toss the tattered remains of her dress about her legs. Impassively she watched as three more dragons reared into view and she narrowed her eyes, this was getting to be irritating. Lifting her staff she struck the butt against the ground, the staff once a oaken shade looking as if it was consumed with flames from the inside out, turning a charcoal color that glowed between the cracks of the wood.
A dodge to the right and the woman sent another bolt of fire towards the enemies. She fought almost in silence as she uttered the words for her spells almost like a whisper. Landing the sand shifted under her feat but she was able to recovered in a strange sort of gracefulness. All those years being on the run with her father seemed to pay off.
The hybrid seemed disinterested in the two boys and keeping them safe, although she was keeping the dragons pretty much focused entirely on her.

A squeak escaped from Karayan as he found himself shoved off of the one that he was trying to protect, something that made him chuckle, "Sorry, sorry... I don't mean to squish you every other time we go hunting it just seems to happen." He said in a joking tone of voice, still finding himself able to make jokes even now when they were surrounded by danger. Perhaps it was because he wasn't alone in all of this that he was able to remain calm. Were he alone and surrounded though he'd be far more likely to panic... now though, now he felt safe enough, especially with some powerful mage here to help them out.
"A what? Oh! Woah, really?" He asked in a hushed tone of voice, his eyes going quite wide as he starred at their would be rescuer, so she was Oblivionite? He'd never seen one of those before, just heard about them through word of mouth. There were a lot of rumors about them, things like how they were empty shells without souls, that they had no eyes, and various other things like that. He wondered how much of it was true... and a part of him wanted very much to go toward the woman instead of away, wanting to get a better look at her. Given the fact that they were surrounded by dragons though it wasn't really an option, was it?
"Eh? Get out of here? But we haven't gotten any orbs yet and just look how many there are! We need to get some of them or the whole trip was a waste, Madryn Col." He said, motioning with a hand toward the mass of orbs. Grabbing up his dagger he held it tightly as he hurried forward, hoping to get his hands on some of the orbs since the dragons seemed busy enough with the mage... though the moment he realized that they were out to get her he felt rather guilty. Could he really gather up the orbs and run when she was fighting them? Sighing a little he whirled around and threw his dagger, somehow managing to land it square in one of the dragon's eyes, causing the beast to give a sound that was somewhere between a roar and a scream, the sort of sound he'd never seen before, one that had him starring in awe, "Woah..."

The young oderite was climbing back onto his feet when the other decided he just HAD to get involved. Of course. Don't be sensible and get out while they could..no no lets get more involved...hey maybe they could ask the oblivionite to roast some marshmallows for them later. Right.
But no...he threw his dagger and now the dragons realized they were there...and now they would have to fight. It wasn't that Madryn was afraid of the dragons...no he was more scared of the woman and what she may do to them once the danger was over. After all she had been able to take out three dragons on her own..with the use of one spell...
Taking his sickle from his side the young boy swore he would knock some sense into Karayan when this was all over.
"You know that voice that tells you to quit while your ahead? you don't have one.." He hissed as he moved forward to strike at the dragon Karayan had blinded with his dagger.

Tilawen had not expected the young boys to 'join in' the fight after she had become involved, were they trying to help her? Tilawen doubted it, after all she was certain that they were just greedy and wanted to take the easy orbs from the kills she made. Still it was strange to see..a dovaa and a orderite working together. Not that she cared.
Still as one dragon was no longer paying her any attention was quick to dispatch another one. This time almost literally sticking her staff into its outstretched mouth and sending a ball of fire down into its throat burning it from the inside out. It crumbeled away into dust before its body hit the ground. So now there were only two left. One still paying her quite a bit of attention and the other hunting the two boys.

Karayan had a moment of confusion, wondering what his friend meant about a voice quitting while he was ahead but decided that it wasn't important at the moment, not when they were face to face with another dragon. This time, perhaps, they would take it down instead of the dark skinned woman doing it for them? He took a step toward the dragon but seemed to realized that it had his dagger still lodged in its eye leaving him completely without a weapon. As such as it came closer to them, lowering its head to attack he did the only thing he could do, that being giving it a punch in the face at the same time that Madryn struck out at it with his weapon.
It was hard to tell who was more surprised the dragon or Kara at the attack before the Dovaa set to shaking his hand rapidly, "Ow, ow... that didn't work..." He muttered to himself, looking around for something he could use as a weapon until he saw an opening to get his dagger back... unless.. His eyes got wide as he said, "We should hit the dagger in deeper! It will stab it right in the brain!" He told Madryn, looking for an opening to do just that! Maybe he could... could... kick it in or something!

His sickle managed to make contact about the same time as Kara's fist did. The young boy would of stopped to stare at his 'friend' blankly if he had a chance to realize what exactly Karayan had done. Punch a dragon? May as well of punched a rock. He figured it out given by his words and his shaking his hand in a fashion to indicate that pain he experienced. It took even longer to register the idiotic idea that was put forth.
"Are you insane? That would mean we have to get closer to its face...and I am NOT getting any closer than I need to. Those teeth would rip us to shreds." He hissed withdrawing his own weapon that was bright red with blood. Doing his best to not look at it as the sight of it made him feel a bit sick.
"Better idea, find rocks or something to hit it with rather than your hands!"

Despite herself trying to remained focus on her own precarious situation she found herself constantly looking back to see if the boys were in trouble. Why? She was cold and indifferent if they lived or died...in fact if they were killed now then they would be saved a life of suffering later on. Yet.... her staff snapped up to stop a pair of large teeth to reach her face. She could feel its hot breath breathing down on her, and a thick drop of saliva hit her face.
Anger, it was about the only emotion she allowed herself to feel these days. The idea that this kiandri wanted to eat her, that it was drooling at the thought of eating her...was enough to set her off. Lifting her other hand though she didn't care for casting spells wit her bare hands...often using the top of her staff for focus instead, she summoned the strength of a fire ball and sent it off into the creatures mouth.
Bellowing a shriek of rage and pain it whipped its head away, tossing it back and forth as its mouth suffered from serious burns. Lifting herself up as she had been pressed into the ground she flinched at the sand that was into her cuts and into her eyes. But right now all that mattered was burning this creature to the ground. It would suffer...suffer as she had suffered....
Lifting her staff the creature was still tossing its head around in pain. It didn't take her long to set the membranes of its wings on fire, whilst dodging claws and a tail trying to swipe at her. Once it was unable to fly away she took her sweet time to kill it and once it was a crumble of ash on the ground she half turned to see the two young boys still...at it with the last dragon.

Kara looked over at Madryn when he refused to go through with the plan that he'd come up with... and he supposed that it wasn't quite the best one that he'd ever had. Alright, so he would need to come up with another plan. Rocks, huh? He looked from side to side, trying to spot something that would be useful to them... and he gave an excited sound when he spotted some rocks. Rushing over to them he scooped them up, juggled them because they were rather hot to the touch, before he set them sailing at the dragon. The first couple bounced off the side of the dragon's head... and it turned toward him, opened its mouth to roar... and got a couple more rocks in the mouth and down it's throat. The dragon choked on the rocks for a moment before it set to flailing around, trying to cough them up.
"Huh... well now... that was... unexpected." He said, tilting his head to one side, watching the way the dragon flailed about. He doubted that it would kill it, he wasn't that lucky, but it had distracted it rather well, hadn't it? Should they grab their orbs and flee now? It might be the safest idea though he felt that if they did so they might very well miss out on even more orbs, there were so many of them laying about at the moment. He turned to Madryn to see what he might be thinking at the moment, to see if he had any ideas about what they should do or how they should deal with the flailing Kiandri.

The young boy watched as teh dragon flayed about clawing at its throat as if it was having a hard time breathing. He took a step back grabbing Karayan's arm to drag him backwards as well from the flailing limbs and tail. It was crashing about like a crazy thing and the last thing they needed was to have it hit either of them.
He couldn't believe it worked. To be honest Madryn was sure that they would end up dead trying to beat this thing. His sickle was drying and his hand shaking. They had certainly gotten over their head in this...if that woman hadn't shown up...would they be dead right now? They could barely take care of one dragon. What if they had come across all six?
The idea was...terrifying.

Enough of this, the dragon was choking the boys looking at it dumbfounded, whilst they hybrid watched unamused. Coming up from behind the dragon she stuck her staff into its side before allowing a wave of immense heat erupt from the tip. The dragon no longer had reason to flail from choking as it was not a charred corpse. Disintegrating into dust the orb settled into the sand where its heart would of been if it was still alive.
She then regarded the two her glowing green eyes unwavering until they seemed to go out...an indication she blinked. She looked...terrible...all cut up, dried blood on her body and what was left of her clothes. Her hair was loose...and flowing around her body....if she hadn't been so dark skinned some may of thought she was a ghost of some sort.
Without saying a word she moved over to collect her share of the prizes...though technically she killed all the dragons she didn't want to overburden herself anyway.

Kara's eyes went wide as the woman put an end to the flailing dragon, leaving nothing behind but some orbs. He starred at them for a moment then lifted his gaze from those to look at the angry looking woman, taking in every detail about her, then it finally seemed to realize something about her, she wasn't just a plain Oblivionite, was she? He cocked his head to one side, eyes going wide, before he gave a smile, "Huh, neat." He murmured before he dropped his attention back to the orbs and moved to pick some of them, "Thank you for the help! The dragons here are a lot tougher then what Madryn Col and I are used to dealing with."
It seemed that even if he was dealing with a hybrid he was still just as chatty as ever. Holding up one of the glittering orbs for Madryn to see he called out, "Hey! Check these out! They are colored in such a cool manner, huh?" He was quite pleased with these ones, they were so pretty! He couldn't wait to bring them back to his Grannie to show them to her, hoping she'd be proud of him for bringing orbs like this home with him.

Madryn felt every hair on his body bristle as the woman stared at them with those strange glowing green eyes of hers. He knew that with her strange look that she wasn't a full oblivionite...after all they didn't have eyes at all. Never mind those..weird...antler? Horn? Things... those were certainly not oblivinite.
He wanted to shout at her tell her to back off, as it was he saw how she could take care of a dragon ..what if she decided to wield that power against them? Of course...Karayan was like....his typical self..chatting to the woman as if she was just like them. Grabbing Kara's arm he pulled him back, even as he went to show them the orbs he didn't want his ..companion any closer to the woman than they needed to be.
"I think we should go..." He whispered not liking how the woman seemed to ignore them now that the danger had passed.

The young woman barely stopped moving from one cluster of orbs to another, deftly picking up one before she moved on. The only signs she heard or acknowledged the dovaa boys words was when she went still for a moment, half cast a glance over her shoulder before giving them both a cold look.
"Morons.." she breathed between her teeth as she then went about to straighten herself up. She was tired...and she was hungry...but in order to eat she hunted...though her food was often charred crisps...it was something right?
"get yourselves out of the dessert....your lucky to still be alive." She hissed as she went to move on.

Kara looked between Madryn Col and the dark skinned woman with the horns before he gave a nod of his head, "Ahh... alright." He was being told from two sides that they should be going, as such he felt that leaving might be the best thing that could be done about now. He counted out the orbs that he had gathered before he handed half of them off to Madryn, tucking the rest of them away into the pack he was carrying, before he smiled, "We probably should be going... that was a little too close for comfort for me." While he didn't mind battling dragons, not at all, it seemed as though they wandered in packs that were too big for his liking here.
"Back to Serenia then?" He asked of Madryn Col, hoping that they were able to get onto the right boat this time so that they would end up in the right place. They had gotten lost once and once was probably enough for one adventure. He'd rather they got on the right boat this time so that they could get back before anyone noticed that they were missing.
