Lawr gave Pandora sage and mystical nod. "Susan appreciates your politeness." And was about to say more when Cael got up and pinned Al to the wall with a dagger in what was the most horrific thing he'd ever seen, the lack of blood was about the only thing that keep him from losing his composure.

Five more minutes. For what he wasn't sure. He just hoped his single word would be useful to someone.

He wanted to ask what their division actually did, but he really didn't want to become a wall ornament either.

Solia was actually excited about her ideas. Mostly because they:

A- Involved shiftless hot guys
B- Involved cute things
C- It was a chance to impress her sempais
D- SECRET THINGS!!!!!!
E- ?????
F- She didn't score Fs only A+s.

Sitting down next to her favorite even if he was taller, sempai Gale, Solia was practically vibrating as she quickly began to write down two things.

One was along the lines of:

'Using those with weapons who held prior connections to the location and populace of Amityville Academy, infiltrate the school to begin, perpetuate and advance existing rumors on the benefits of joining our organization. Either as relatives to the previous inhabitants, or those of close relation, or perhaps using a weapon golem directly. The use of fear on FEAR is counterproductive, and while a weapon might lack the memory of their prior existence, the sight of these previous inhabitants or their relatives/relations can be of use to measure possible weapon conversion candidates in an expedited manner.
In example, one student encountered held little malice towards Deus ex on whole, and when told of my weapon's story became more open to suggestion! This however is not without risk, as many can and will see the weapons who had prior ties as possible traitors, or perhaps even victims. These inhabitants would thus be expedited as not worth pursuit in weapons conversions due to already raised hostilities...

Solia also drew several death hunters and weapons in the margins. This was the second thing she 'wrote'.

One doodle was Mark with princess Leia buns, another was King Caelius. Princess Sam, Death Prince Gale, and then of course Otto the autobot. Israfel was drawn being cute and flying around the top with feathers scattered about.

She paused to look at Gale for sempai approvals.

The best way to make Taym do something useful? Tell him he was useless. He'd brought the binder half on a lark, but now he was bent over his desk with a sort of grim expressionlessness that he managed to mostly maintain when Al was... disciplined.

As much time as he spent scrounging around the library, he was bound to turn up something interesting. And he had, or at the very least interesting to him: squirreled away among a cache of schlocky tourist literature ("HAUNTED NEW ENGLAND" and "SCARY TRUE STORIES OF NASHVILLE'S SUPERNATURAL PAST"), a three-ring binder labeled only "Interesting." And among its pages, more of the same: printed-off internet anecdotes of hole-in-the-wall famous locales, a couple of emails exchanged acquired god-knows-how (with, rather hair-raisingly, names and phone numbers), some newspaper articles, a couple of "downtown ghost tour" pamphlets of the more intriguing variety.

Everything was arranged chronologically, and stopped, abruptly, less than a year ago. Someone's pet project, an anonymous hunter's idle accruing of things to look at later, maybe, cut short for the same probable reason that any hunter's work would be cut short.

A couple of lines sufficed to explain what it was and where he'd found it. He clipped the proposal sheet to the outside. The last few sentences said:

"Did we ever look at this? Does anyone ever look at things like this? How do we even decide what's worth looking at?"

Which wasn't exactly a ringing proposal so much as a timid whisper of an idea, but it was much as he felt comfortable offering. Especially now that a kid was hanging up in the front of the room like a pinned butterfly.

A council of requests and suggestions was a concept familiar to Edgar - he just wasn't used to not being at the front of it. The man who was did seem to be playing the part very well, and he envied his ability to play such an impressively disgruntled character.

But he wanted to play too, even if he couldn't be at the front of the room. He stared at the paper, which should have been given to his scribe, not him, and flung it off of his desk. Useless.

"Perchance we shall seek the Holy Grail!" he offered aloud, looking far too excited for someone in a Death Division Meeting.

Lawr looked up from the paper on his desk as someone caused another stir in the room, he still wasn't sure what the criteria for bringing people to this place actually was. He'd been doing a very staunch and effective job at being a pet psychic for the wealthy and stupid and he wasn't sure how that tied into this place short of the unfortunate series of events which had led him to wonder park. It couldn't have been fraud either.

Or well, maybe.

Maybe the yelling man was another scam artist. Maybe he worked renfaires, it was entirely up in the air.

All that really mattered was that there was another target in the room, and it wasn't him.

Edgar was also pinned with artifact that looked an awfully lot like something King Arthurian. It was a good thing he either was wearing a lot of clothing or incredibly skinny as unlike Al, the weapon just barely nicked his skin and ended up pinning a large portion of his shoulder padding to said wall.

The wall was also caving in a slight bit.

Taym absently considered the structural integrity of the room they were in and also the structural integrity of the human shoulder, and kept his mouth shut.

What sort of scandalous retaliation was this?! Didn't this leader know that this meant war?

"Unhand me, wall!" Edgar cried, wriggling and kicking at it with his heels. "Pay ye attention to my request! I shall send my men to best thee in combat!"

He escalated keeping his mouth shut to burying his face in his hands in contact embarrassment and an acute desire to be anywhere but here.

Lawr gave Taym a sidelong look and a sigh of sympathy.

Pandora flipped over her sheet of paper, made a couple wide motions with her pencil, and held up an improvised scorecard emblazoned with a large handwritten 8.

'Call me,' she mouthed to the cute guy in the costume playing along with the demonstration, holding a hand to her face in the shape of a phone and wiggling it a little.

Woah. This was way better than the slim pickings of his small-town faire humble kingdom. Edgar stopped squirming and bowed - or tried to bow, considering the fact that his motion was now restricted by the vaguely Arthurian artifact that kept him pinned to the wall, not unlike a brilliant violet beetle.

"Ah, by what shall I call you, fair maiden?" he asked, his volume significantly lowered. "Might I find thee in thy quarters post-council?"

The legitimacy of this meeting still failed to sink in, apparently, as it still felt very much like a stage (and all the trainees merely players, naturally).

Gale stared first at Solia with a suspicious expression, as though unsure as to what she was actually asking him, but then his gaze traveled to the newest newcomer, and whatever he'd been about to say was lost in his throat.

"Er."

And oddly enough, there was exactly three more minutes and twenty-three seconds before the Death lead glanced at his cell phone - which was working despite his usual troubles with technology, namely throwing cell phones out of windows and at people - and then looked back up.

"I am sure you have spent plenty of time preparing for your proposals, as five minutes most likely cannot compare to the work and time you put in your every day lives as Hunters," it was about as sarcastic as he ever got, "and what everyone lacks is time. Therefore you will each get thirty seconds to propose your-" he paused, as if he was having trouble saying the words - "division endeavors."

At this point Mark had quietly, on a chair, helped Al off his perch, wondering if he should leave the artifact in or pull it out. Eh, it was no longer his problem the second the Death trainee got shipped out. He settled by finding the cheapest Runic bandages he could find and just wrapping it around the artifact-shoulder ensemble. As an after thought he wiped down the wall a bit, fastidiously ignoring Edgar as well.

And then the Death lead calmly took out a folder marked "HUNTER TERMINATION RECORD" and took out a fresh sheet of paper, writing Burke, Edgar on the first sheet before flipping it over to the second. He just as calmly stared at the assembled group. "Now. Your project proposals."

Lawr listened to the quiet - or at least what quiet there was after Edgar was through with it - and considered his options. On one hand he'd have to drop the psychic persona and make an earnest attempt to propose something which would lose his cover in front of the other gathered hunters, on the other, they were in the same division, whatever divisions entailed, with the exception of the vivacious young lady who had asked for mist instead. It wasn't an option if he wanted to at least pay cursory respect to the very stab-happy leader at the front of the room, and he didn't doubt for a second he wouldn't tolerate any buttering up or mystical hand waving.

There wasn't a great deal to lose, all told.

He stood, dropping the fabulously terrible American accent and the emotive hand waving, his accent actually somewhere closer to Manchester English than American at all. It was a show of earnestness, handing authority his credentials. He didn't expect it to be appreciated, but respect only went as far as it was shown and people were his trade.

"I'm not entirely sure what my job is here. But I've listened and read enough to at least get the important fundamentals of what we do and what I should therefore aim to do." He was grateful the barking, screaming ghost in his head was silent for the time being, permitting him a lot of composure. "But for my proposal, what there is of it - I am still very new to this island - I would like to investigate potentials for applied disguise and illusion. Working with humans or sentients. Unfortunately I am not in possession of the facts, extent of what I would be permitted to do or resources. But with my current information, this is about all I can propose." he nodded his head and sat back down, the moment he did seeming to shed the stiff, composed body language and lapse straight back into eccentricity.
