"Ouch." Sin hissed, holding his side in slight pain. He was glad that it was a spar, and definitely not the sharp end he was being attacked with. It might have a small blade but it was still lethal in the long run. He returned the attack with a swipe of his sword at Milo's legs. He wasn't exactly sure what language Milo was speaking -- Wahine, was that Hawaiian? -- but guys could always relate on the same subject and woes, despite any language barrier. "I don't know man. That sounds like a lot of trouble to go through." "Yet we still go through it all. I guess we can't resist them after all, huh?" Sin definitely liked women, not in a misogynist way, but he really liked all women. "By the way, what about your weapon? My sword is a beautiful water spirit that I would gladly spend the rest of my life with." Sin could have swooned, ok, not really. HP: 24 Damage: 3

Again, this was a spar. In a tournament, needing to advance by beating each other so he couldn't feel too bad. Well, he still felt a little bad since they had been doing sort of banter back and forth. Sin got a good retaliation in, swiping at his feet and making him jump with a little yelp. They were nice pants, but thankfully only nicked.
< You're supposed to try to win.... > Koume grumbled in his mind.
"Ya, can't live without them, that old saying." Milo shrugged as the voice in his head kept telling him to take the fight seriously and unleash a unforgiving attack. To appease the nagging, he swung the blunted end again at the other hunter but apparently not well enough, getting another fit of anger. And being called stupid and useless.
"Aa, Koume?" He asked, resting her handle upon his shoulder.

For a moment, Milo was jealous of hearing how wistful Sin was in describing his weapon. They seemed to have nothing antagonistic like his was so far. "She tells me she's a tengu. A Japanese yokai that were like giant birds and commanded the wind." Pretty cool sure, "She sure howls alright." If his partner had the capacity, he was sure she would hit him. "I'm sure we'll come to that great understanding of one another soon though, and work well together."
Koume snorted. He was pretty sure she would have rolled her eyes too.

Sin took the hit again, unable to avoid Milo's skilled hits. Jumping backwards to evade further attacks though, ' I don't appreciate you speaking so rudely about me.' His weapon admonished Sin. My bad, my bad~ Sin apologized in his mind. He still seemed to have trouble wielding the heavy weapon, occasionally losing control and hitting harder than he intended. A tengu, huh? That was a first that Sin was hearing. "That sounds pretty cool. Don't tell me that you can fly or something?" " Milo's last phrase echoed in his mind. You could work with one another, but working well was an entirely different story. ' We still don't match up very well. How many times have I told you to stop recklessly hitting your opponent and use strategy for once?' His sword chastised the young hunter. "It doesn't matter if you understand them or not-" Hunters seemed to be driven by the hatred of anything other than human, "But as long as they keep you alive, I'd say that's good enough." Ignoring her tactical advice (with purely good intentions, he would tell you); he aimed another hit. HP: 23 Damage: 5

(Haha, skilled attacks).
"If only," Milo replied, taking the brunt of Sin's attack with a big 'oof.' He reeled backwards, holding his side and hoped this meant they were starting to get serious again. At least he would have hoped so, when he attempted to counter and not in a very big way. Flying might have helped perhaps. Or maybe just some training in general.
< Gakkarida.... > He heard Koume drawl on in a language he was familiar with and at the same time not. Something had been nagging him about that concept since he had gotten back from that weird.. alternate universe.. place. He shrugged it off though, given it wasn't the time for it, as Koume was insisting; he liked the idle talking though in the thralls of battle. It made it less dull.
"Well, hopefully they keep us alive." Milo sighed. Because he was sure his partner would kill him eventually.

He used the broad sword to deflect some more damage, although each of them appeared to be taking similar damage with every strike. I guess tengu can hold their own against water spirits, huh? He surmised with an amused smile. His clothes, meanwhile, were getting wet in the rain and sticking to his skin. Sin resisted the urge to strip his coat, knowing he wouldn't have time in this spar. But damn if it wasn't an hindrance. He tried for an upwards strike from below this time. "She's killing you out of love. It looks so much brighter if you think about it that way." Damage: 2 Sin HP: 21/40 chirigami seriously, what is up with these damages ?____?

Milo had to let out a small laugh at Sin's ideals suggestion about Koume's affections. Though, it had the chances of ending up true despite his hope of it not; all the sentai that had been partnered with someone had gained trust and comradery, hopefully he would also. And a lot of times, they gained a super sweet power up to boot. Mm, power ups.
And even though Sin's attack had only caught him a little, Milo's completely missed his mark. He was going to blame it on the rain, making the ground beneath their feet a little slick and his grip a little lax. Yeah, the rain.Quote: hp: 20/40 damage: 0 ..... wut

Neither side seemed to have an advantage over the other. 'Urgh.. How long are you going to keep this up? At this rate, both of you will know each other out before there's a definite winner. I don't like losing! His weapon complained. "What do you want me to do?" Sin asked outloud by accident. 'A finishing blow.'"Isn't that for superheroes?! Seriously, what do you think I am?" If their audience wasn't hunters.. Sin would have looked pretty crazy right now, trying to argue and reason with the sword in his hand. Damage: 2 Sin HP: 21 chirigami This rolls are killing me inside

Maybe it was the rain (though, many possibilities did still exist), seeing as how he was still able to get out of the range of Sin's attacks decently enough. Another scratch at the fear shield, bringing its proficiency down a few more notches. He could still make up for it, Koume was sort of demanding for it. She like him, didn't want to bring up that earlier thought of his last win being a fluke.

It seemed Sin himself was having a little pep talk with his weapon, or at least he hoped so. Milo didn't answer, though he could think of some replies. Smart a** ones too, haHA!
I do.. just not in application. He thought to himself as he changed his grip on the naginata, more solid and more sturdy in his hands even though it was a little slick. Milo took a single steady, widening his stance and swung out the blunt end of the naginata at Sin (as a courtesy), aiming for somewhere in the middle.

Sin's shield had taken too much of the brunt force of the damage, seeming to be at it's weakest when Milo aimed for Sin's middle. He took a direct hit to his stomach, thrown back by Milo's force. "Ahaha.. that's gonna bruise, isn't it?" He cradled his side by holding his palm, applying pressure to stem the pain. He could tell without looking because it was pretty damn painful. That definitely contributed to Sin's weak hit towards Milo's side, missing -- and doing no damage."Losing might be pretty fun if it's with Milo." He remarked casually to his weapon, having enjoyed the battle thus far. You're such an idiot! An abrading voice huffily disagreed. Sin HP: 13 Damage: 0

"Probably," Milo chuckled gravely. "But, I think ... we heal kind of better than normal?" He had heard that somewhere, and wounds from the monster hadn't lingered long. Still, he could feel a few sore spots still present in a few places from his last little spar, not too debilitating yet but he could only imagine how he was going to feel when this was all over - unless this actually turned out to be his last fight. Still possible. Would suck, but he shared the same sentiment that Sin was; wouldn't mind losing to him, at least he wasn't a douche bag or something. Losing to someone friendly would be ideal.
But, he still didn't kind of want to lose. And of course his partner didn't either. But she wasn't getting what she wanted as usual as Milo swung a little too off course for his counter. Sin was wide open too. Weep.

Sin was glad to see that Milo has missed.. Regenerated healing did help but Sin wasn't a lover of pain. Lifting his sword, he thrust it intending to aim for Milo's shoulder. He managed to return a hit on Milo, especially after his last shot. Sin's HP: 12 Damage: 10

"Aatchaa!" That one had hurt, which was why had Milo vocalized it. So, the boy spun in his steps and countered, accidentally using the bladed edge of his sword.

A thin cut appeared on Sin's face, a droplet of blood threatened to fall until Sin wiped it with the back of his gloved hand. "Guess we can't play around and not get hurt, huh?" He didn't look perturbed but rather pleased. "I can see why you won your last battle." Despite their nearly equal attacks, there were moments where Milo displayed more potential to inflict more damage on Sin. Sin's HP: 8 Damage: 3

That little cut was a little horrifying to see, especially since he was the one to inflict it. He had never really spilled blood before, if that was a good way to say it, least go this far into a fight - two! Actually, it was a little invigorating. "Can't say I know how I did it myself," he admitted with a laugh, taking the blow dealt to him as it was handed to him. Really, he felt bad.
"Maybe I have more power than I thought," that was a nice thought. Maybe being able to go all out could do that to a guy, he mused as he once again twisted the naginata around to throw a swing at Sin with the not so sharp side. "Again, much apologies, brah."

When the male took it upon himself to say sorry, Sin shook his head. "Nah, don't apologize." Sin waved away the remark. "Especially when I won't hesitate to return the favor." He didn't, from the way that he swung his sword around again to hit Milo. This time it wasn't a pity hit. He couldn't evade the next hit but he managed to attack Milo at the same time. "Hold your head high. After all, you've come this far, haven't you?" Sin pointed to cut on his face. "It's not like I let anybody injure me y'know. So take confidence in yourself." Sin grinned. Sin's HP: 5 Damage: 4
