Kali slid past Logan's claws, as they unsheathed. The adamatium tips barely missed her. She didn't think, she only acted and it had been enough of a reaction to save her arm from being sliced off or cut. Zero grabbed her arm and she glared at him, flames filling her eyes, as he asked her where she was going.

She glanced around at the faces in the room. She just noticed Alex Summers where she had been laying. Her eyes raced to Hank who was holding a tranquilizer that he didn't seem afraid to use, if necessary.

Kali shook her head head and the angry flames in her eyes grew brighter. "I said I was fine," she growled. "I told you not tests! You can't keep me here, I have no guardian. You can't run tests or procedures without my consent. I do not consent!"

The arm that Zero was holding suddenly burst into flames in attempt to free herself.

Zero grinned as the flames raced up his arm. He felt the pain, alright, but he welcomed it. Slightly insane now, he picked up the girl and slammed her against the wall. "Sorry to say, Kali, you're gonna have to do more than that."

Kali heard Zero's laughter as she tried to tug herself free. And in a moment, she felt the concrete wall collide with her spine. She yelled out and caught the breath that had been forced out of her lungs. The man had strength and she wasn't prepared for him to have the healing factor.

Her emerald eyes stared into Zero's. She didn't want to fight. She only wanted to get away. She wanted to run. She needed to run. If she didn't run things were going to get bad. Things were already bad. Hank had scanned her, she never wanted that. The thing in her back hadn't allowed her control, but now that she saw exactly where it was, she could get rid of it, on her own. She had done it before, when it was in her neck. She knew what it was. The tracking device that had betrayed her so many times. This would be the last time. She had already decided what she would do. But, she needed to heal. She had to.

Without any further thoughts, she brought her knee up to Zero's middle and her free fist flew, in flames, towards Zero's skull. She wasn't going down without a fight, even if it killed her.

Zero took the knee in the gut like a pro, he didn't even flinch, and then proceeded to dodge the punch, but not quite fast enough...it did catch him a little, but not enough to do any harm.

Slamming her against the wall, he leaned in close and whispered in her ear, so softly that it was impossible for anyone but her to hear..."You better chill, girl. Just to let you know, when I was in my dorm, I got curious. Made some calls, pulled a few strings. I saw the tat within five minutes, you better hope Logan doesn't see it. I know who...what...you are. If you want me to stay quiet, then quiet yourself and stop fighting."

Kali's knee hit Zero, but she imagined that it hurt her more than it hurt him. That, and the wall slamming into her spine, again. She felt a bit like a ragdoll, but she knew that she deserved it. She tried to burn the guy, to free herself, but still. Even then, she did enough things in her life that would warrant worse than a wall ramming into her head and spine.

Her blood boiled with Zero's words. How did he know? How did he see? The gym? Who did he call? Did they track his phone? Would they come here? As much as she hated Logan, she wouldn't allow the innocents to be hurt. She knew that Father would take more mutants under his control if he could only get to them.

Kali winced. Her head throbbed and her mind swam with questions and calculations How long would it take for them to find her? Was that what the fainting was all about? Were they close?

Kali stopped struggling. She could feel herself shutting down. Not physically. She flinched and tried to gain control. There was no way that she wanted Logan to find out. He would kill her. He would kill her and if anyone else found out, they wouldn't stop him. They wouldn't be able to stop them. Kali would be dead and that was what she deserved. Except, part of her wanted a different life. That was why she had escaped so many times. Too bad Wolf was better at his job than anyone else.

Kali's eyes glared through Zero and at Hank who still stood with tranq in hand. "Let me go," she said quietly. "You can't operate with my consent or guardianship, neither of which you have." She was finding it hard to breathe. The anger was choking her. "I don't like medical facilities."

Her emerald eyes pierced through Zero's. If he truly knew her secret, then he would understand. But she had a feeling Hank knew her secret too. Depending on the scans, it could have shown him everything.

Indeed, Zero guessed at what would be rolling through her mind, and her caged look only confirmed the soldier's suspicions. He leaned in again and whispered, "Ya know what? I like you. You're not only beautiful, you're also feisty. You are brave, taking on the famous Wolverine, WHILE WOUNDED. I won't turn you in, though you do deserve it for what you have done. And don't think I'm not angry at you, because as a mutant, I am. But I'll give you a chance." Backing up, he let her go and walked away. Suddenly, he stopped and turned around. "Oh, yeah, don't worry about...visitors...I took care of that for ya." Zero proceeded to walk down the hallway and out of sight.

Kali leaned against the wall for support as Zero whispered, again to her. She didn't like the idea of anyone liking her. She didn't do anything to deserve anything less than hate. She knew it. Others would say they had no choice, but she knew she always did. Everyone had the choice. She didn't regret her choices, but it didn't make anything easy.

She watched Zero leave the room and her eyes went immediately to the three mutants who would love to see her strapped to a surgery table. She wasn't sure about Alex.

"I'm...going to my room," she said confidently. She searched the faces as if to question their arguments. "I just can't stay in this room."

She waited for reactions, mainly Logan's because he was the only one who could really stop her. She couldn't touch him. Hank studied her but seemed to deem her unthreatening. She seemed like the honest type, and she did say where she wanted to go, which was better than not.

Alex stood there by the bed where the girl was laying, completely stunned by the turn of events. There was a fight which Zero seemed to diffuse yet again, and Alex was mostly hoping that his brother would step in at some point.

Logan, however, had been itchingfor a fight with the redhead ever since she stood up to him in the gym earlier. His claws, still out, made it perfectly clear that he wasn't going to let her go easily. "Hate ta break it to ya, bub, but ya ain't going anywhere til the furball says ya can. Especially with that chip in her back."

Scott watched everything unfold. Zero seemed to be able to handle the girl nicely, and he could see what Alex meant by the idea that somehow they knew each other or at least Zero knew Kali. He had a feeling that anyone Kali knew, she hated. She didn't seem like the kind of girl who made friends easily.

After a couple slams into the wall and whatever Zero told her, Zero let her go and walked out of the room. Logan, seemed to be itching for a fight and Kali did too.

Scott glanced at Alex, then to Hank. Then, he decided what needed to be done. "Even with your consent, or guardianship," Scott began. "There are things that we need to know, about the risks of taking it out. We don't even know if it is a chip or just a shard of metal, Logan."

Scott studied Kali and could see the panic in her eyes. Although her body was strong and stiff, her eyes told everything. He believed her, that she had a strong dislike, or unspoken fear of medical facilites.

"You've had a long day and if this isn't life threatening, it can wait for one more," he eyed Logan as if to say that this was the final word. "We could ask Isaac to help out, in case it is a chip."

What was he doing sticking up for this girl? She put a knife in his arm. There was something she was hiding. Something big, but he was still on her side, this time.

Scott glanced at Hank. "What do you say, Doc?"

Hank put the tranquelizer down. "You are right, If anything is to be done, there is much that is at stake, and I'm not even sure what her normal vitals are." The large blue man focused on the girl. "I will have to test your vitals, before anything. In case something really does happen. But I won't do that today...at least not right now. If you are only going to your room, I see no harm in that."

Alex stepped forward, now that the situation had relaxed. It was clear that Logan wasn't happy about the decision and he didn't want to be in the room any longer than he had to. "Cmon Kali, I'll walk with you." He glanced at his bro to see if that was okay.

Scott caught the question in Alex's eyes and decided that it would be a very good idea to have Alex go with her. She didn't seem fond of him, but she didn't seem to mind him either. That, in Scott's eyes, was a positive thing with her. Not to mention, the girl probably didn't even know her way around the school yet. Scott nodded. "Go ahead, you two," he said and turned his attention to Logan and Hank.

He knew that Logan wasn't happy, but Hank wouldn't have let Kali go if he thought there was any real danger. It was proabbly more dangerous to have her in the room. Considering she was walking flames and there were oxygen tanks around.

Kali's eyes never left Logan as she listened to Scott reason with the too-quick-to-draw male. Logan didn't look happy. Heck! She never could imagine a happy Logan. She wasn't sure if she would be comforted or worried if he smiled at her.

Her eyes stayed on Logan as she made her way towards the door. She was just going to her room. She just wanted to think about what her next set of actions would be. Would she run? Where would she run? Would Zero tell, if he truly knew? Who was to say that he was only bluffing? He did say that he knew what she was. For all she knew, he could be thinking that she was only a mutant.

However, she didn't think that he would bluff like that.

She gave Alex a nod and exited to find her dorm room, before anyone could keep her longer.
